@notyetamumbuttrying you need a nice relaxing evening

@ACMJ welcome! How are you finding the Letrozole? I found I put on weight really easily when I was on it 😭 What CD are you?

ACMJ · 19/02/2021 20:05

@notyetamumbuttrying Thank you! Smile Good Luck!! Appointments seem to be getting back to normal now which is good. Ah we have me with PCOS, no male factor!! Took me 15 months to get diagnosed (wasn't ovulating the whole time) and I have been doing letrozole for 3 months which has made me start to ovulate. Yeah we are trying for our first. Are you?

ACMJ · 19/02/2021 20:15

@Crazydoglady123 I am finding it ok! I know what you mean, I have put on weight since I have been on it for sure. I don't like the headaches it gives me for the 5 days I take it but other than that it is ok. I am on cycle day 24 today of a 30 day cycle.

Helena86 · 19/02/2021 20:43

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker thank you for your kind words. It sucks, so much. I'm trying to hold onto the fact that we managed to conceive so hoping that means we can again.

I am also aware, after reading so many other people's stories, that we are very much not alone in this. And the support we have received from total strangers is amazing.

Re trying again, there is so much mixed info out there. Some say you have better chances straight away, some say you should wait. We are just going to try and see what happens. We feel ready mentally so it's just whether my body is physically and it'll let us know I guess.

I am really sorry to hear about your struggles. I hope the meeting with your consultant goes well. I don't know what POA is, sorry. I totally understand that you must feel fed up, it takes so much energy. I hope you have some way of chilling out that works for you.

@Crazydoglady123 thank you so much, it is really hard. Like getting everything you've ever wanted in life and then being told you can't have it. But hopefully it won't always be that way.

@ACMJ got my fingers crossed for you. The waiting game seems to be never ending doesn't it?

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 21:10

@ACMJ not long to go then! Have you had any tests yet to see if it's working for you and have you been on Clomid yet?

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 21:12

@Helena86 I can totally imagine. After trying for so long and finally thinking you've got what you want and to loose that it must be like a kick in the teeth. I hope you get your BFP in no time lovely

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/02/2021 22:21

@Crazydoglady123 I've been watching that Cecil hotel documentary on Netflix, so bizarre! How's your eve been?

@ACMJ I'm glad you're getting it sorted now, hopefully won't be long now 🤞🏾 yeah for our first too. Got married in aug19 and came off the pill sep19 and been trying ever since! Marriage has consisted of ttc and lockdowns 🤪

@notyetamumbuttrying that's so weird, I was just finishing the last episode of Firefly Lane to start the Cecil Hotel documentary! Is it good?

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/02/2021 09:54

@Crazydoglady123 yeah it is. We need to finish it today and then start firefly 😂 is that good?

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker ah no way! We were very close to the bh weekend. So so pleased we chose 2019!! We very nearly went with apr2020 as my sister was also getting married in 2019...luckily she didn't mind sharing the year! 😅

Crazydoglady123 · 20/02/2021 10:12

@notyetamumbuttrying it's okay. Like I enjoyed it but wasn't obsessed with it like I am with a lot of Netflix stuff. I'm surprised how it's so highly ranked still. Do you like/have you watched Bridgerton? If you did, you need to watch Reign.

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/02/2021 10:28

@Crazydoglady123 ah ok. The trailer didn't grip me but will watch it as it seems so popular! Errr I bloody loved bridgerton 😂 I live in Greenwich so went to the Bridgerton house! Will see if I can find the pic...reign is also on my list!!

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 20/02/2021 10:31

Won't let me upload pics at the mo, will try again later!

OP posts:
Crazydoglady123 · 20/02/2021 12:01

@notyetamumbuttrying oh wow that's so cool! Reign is addictive and there's like 5 seasons which I shamefully watched in two weeks 🙈 I was sad for it to finish

MIW01 · 20/02/2021 12:01

Totally agree @crazycatlady1981 just spent nearly £100 on our new batch! I've got my accupuncture appointment booked for 10th March and the practitioner used to be a midwife! That is interesting they tell you about food. I've heard they tell you about cold feet = cold uterus or something. My feet are always cold! How is your accupuncture going @Crazydoglady123? Sorry to hear about the MC @Helena86 welcome @ACMJ how on earth did it take so long to diagnose you? I hope things start to get better for you now. I got engaged December 2019 @notyetamumbuttrying and @CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker so think I'll be waiting a looooooong time now before we can think about wedding plans!

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/02/2021 12:15

@Crazydoglady123 haha I get like that too! Ooh I'm excited to start it. Will wait until next week tho. Want to do firefly and finish MAFS first. Have you been watching that? Such addictive trash but I love it! 🤪

@MIW01 aww that's a shame! Did you have a date booked before Covid hit?

OP posts:
Crazydoglady123 · 20/02/2021 12:24

@notyetamumbuttrying no I wanted to start MAFS but it's not available to download the first load of episodes for catch up on our sky? I need to find a way as I want to watch that. I love trashy tv! Celebs go datings just finished 😭 Temptation island that's on I've already watched that series before but that's good

MIW01 · 20/02/2021 12:28

@notyetamumbuttrying no he stupidly asked when we were just about to start our house renovation so no money in the pot for wedding . . . Maybe that's why he asked then!!! We're going to wait til they change the law so you can get married anywhere and get married in our back garden, one day! It took him 8 years to propose so we're not in any rush!

RobinRose · 20/02/2021 14:48

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend?Managed to ger out in the sun with dp today which was nice, and my mother in law baked me a cake!

Has anyone found anything to keep your mind off ttc? Struggling to think of things that might help

Tofu35 · 20/02/2021 17:07

Hey everyone, it's the run up to FW and DH's birthday today so we tried the "twice in one day" advice. It was not a success 😂😂😂

Hope everyone's Saturday is going well, and if you're in the FW, it's more fun and less routine today!

Hayley19835 · 20/02/2021 17:15

@Tofu35 it’s also my OH birthday today AF is still raging here so no twice in one day dtd for us 😂 hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the beautiful weather we seem to have for once xx

ACMJ · 20/02/2021 17:48

@Crazydoglady123 yes I have had 3 tests now and it has shown that all 3 months I have done it have worked which is great. No I never did Clomid they just took me straight to letrozole.

ACMJ · 20/02/2021 17:51

@MIW01I honestly just put it down to miscommunication. I was in and out of the doctors when I was 17/18 due to only ever having one cycle a year and all I got told was 'come back to us when you are TTC' which obviously left years of not knowing. Then again my doctors tried to put me on the pill to get my periods regular but it just masked the symptoms. Finally got a scan and they said I didn't have PCOS. Had another one 2 weeks later and they said I had bad PCOS on both ovaries!! It has been a long journey but on the way now...

Tofu35 · 20/02/2021 18:14

Oh @acmj that sounds horrible to have so many years not knowing, and for them to brush off your concerns when you were a teenager as you weren't a TTC priority case. Glad you are getting somewhere now!
