@notyetamumbuttrying yes I know, he's given up before and wants to again so I'm hoping if he has any issues it'll make him stop again! He's managed to cut down which is good

kerrym87 · 18/02/2021 20:00

@Motherofkittens28 they didn't tell me that either and I think I'll ovulate soon, we've already been in bd mode only found out other day so potentially deposited in fertile window....cant help it if they didn't tell me! I'll do a test before I go in if I haven't already had AF to make sure anyway

kerrym87 · 18/02/2021 20:03

@Marvellouslymadmum mine used to smoke cigars and tried a few times to stop but managed to get on vape stick (for me) with the initial agreement being he could have one on high days and holidays....in 5 years hes had about 3 and doesn't like them anymore...I just don't fully get it as never smoked but I do struggle with my eating and always thinking about next nice thing to eat and trying to reduce my sugary stuff!

Motherofkittens28 · 18/02/2021 20:32

@notyetamumbuttrying the DHA is omega 3, DHEA is a growth hormone supplement so they aren't the same. Research ive read says that when your older your natural testosterone levels decline making it harder to grow a baby and the DHEA gives you a boost. Its not approved for fertility use in the UK, although some clinics prescribe it and I think its fairly common in other countries

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/02/2021 21:36

@kerrym87 he drives me crazy with it, he gave up completely and went onto vaping for 10 months - then started again! Then gave up for 3 months then back again but like you I've never smoked so don't get it either 🤷🏼‍♀️ I like baking which is not a good thing haha!

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/02/2021 08:16

@Marvellouslymadmum mine was the same. Gave up and then started again during lockdown 1. Yeah cutting down is really good, not easy when most of us are stuck at home.

@Motherofkittens28 haha totally not the same then 😂 what am I like 🤦🏾‍♀️ ooh I didn't know that, how interesting.

I just want to start my next round
Of letrozole Sad

Thank you for listening to my haiku Smile

Annny27 · 19/02/2021 10:19

@yutes haha! I was like this a few days ago I was spotting from 12dpo but didn't start properly untill 16dpo! Frustrates me so much

I caved and bought some opks for this month instead of just going on cm alone 🙈👀

@notyetamumbuttrying I have pain when its deep too. Like pressure like I am about to pee myself haha! So I dont mind if it only lasts 3 seconds 🤣

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/02/2021 11:00

@notyetamumbuttrying lockdown is definitely making things harder for everyone!

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 11:16

I think lockdown makes it a lot harder for us long term TTC ladies too!

Love that @Yutes but frustrating

Annny27 · 19/02/2021 11:36

@marvellouslymadmum @crazydoglady123 100% because we cant have fun and enjoy the aspects of pre child life!!! Cant go on holiday or nights out or theatre trips!!!

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 11:53

@Annny27 exactly! Nothing to take our mind off it but I suppose at least we don't have to see our pregnant friends or the people always asking "so when are you going to have a baby" 😩

MIW01 · 19/02/2021 11:56

Gosh this thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up Lol!

Lol @Anny27 they are somewhat addictive aren't they! I'm back in the routine of temping, sticking fingers in my fanny to check for CM and regularly passing on sticks - my standard morning routine!

I posted this on another thread as well . . . Hello Ladies

So consultant called and congratulated me on how reassuring everything looks for me and fiancée and then dropped the bomb . . . I won't be prescribed Clomid! As I expected. We discussed my concerns about ovulation but as I expected, reassured me that all the tests indicates I'm ovulating and nothing abnormal detected on the scans. He explained that as it is clear ovulation isn't an issue Clomid would actually be detrimental as it thins the womb lining. Said the HyCoSy should improve our chances TTC. Fiancée's sperm all in good shape blah blah ready to go and get pregnant! Small problem . . . We haven't yet had a BFP in the almost 3 years we've been trying! So now just got to wait for referral in new area to go through. I've chased it as I don't want all our tests expiring yet again and then we need to go for a fourth round of tests! If this is the case My fiancée is hopeful they will have some "fresh material" for him in the new "room of shame" at the hospital . . . But let's no be so cynical here.

MIW01 · 19/02/2021 12:06

@Crazydoglady123 @Marvellouslymadmum mine's on Wellman but about to change him, can't say I've noticed libido change . . . He is very naturally in tune with my ovulation pattern and always more interested when I'm ovulating without me saying anything! I'm now putting us both on Conceive plus, mecca and ashwaghanda amd also bought a little sleep and mood booster as I think we are both a bit down atm and neither of us are sleeping well.

Certainly sleep and stress don't help!

I've also now got accupuncture booked in March

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 12:13

@MIW01 ugh how annoying is that! From my personal experience if you are ovulating and go on Clomid I'd imagine you could end up with similar with what happened to me, over responding. Deffo keep pushing!

I just had my acupuncture appointment and I've been told warm/hot food only for the rest of my cycle

crazycatlady1981 · 19/02/2021 12:33

@Yutes enjoying the poetry! 😬 hope the witch arrives soon and you can give us the next instalment!

Interesting about the coq10. Me and DH are on 300mg each daily. Wondering if I should take double 🤔 although I may go bankrupt if I do! These ttc supplements are so expensive!

@Crazydoglady123 yes my acupuncturist is always telling me to keep warm at all times! She hasn’t said anything about food though!
How was your session?

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/02/2021 13:24

@Annny27 same as me!!! Have you been tested for endometriosis yet? I get terrible period pain and pain leading up to it, also ov pain too. Pain after sex and when it's deep. Feels like I'm always in bloody pain 😂
@Marvellouslymadmum it's the bloody pits!! Can't wait for it to end!
@Crazydoglady123 those are the worst ppl! I wanna scream FUCK OFF 😂 when my dhs sperm improves, now fuck you 😆 sorry, in a mental mood today, can you tell 🤪
@MIW01 wow how frustrating! Sounds like unexplained then? Those things sound good to change and take!
@crazycatlady1981 they're so expensive aren't they! I only take 100mg a day, should up it really...

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 19/02/2021 13:41

@Crazydoglady123 lockdown makes everything more difficult apart from dtd 😂 @Annny27 we don't actually get to do those things either as we both have children from previous relationships, just none together.
@MIW01 that's very frustrating for you! Hopefully something will work for you soon and you'll get your bfp!

The whole how much ubiquinol and what other supplements thing is why I haven't started in any of them yet! It's baffling when you have no real advice

Crazydoglady123 · 19/02/2021 14:25

Sending you virtual hugs today @notyetamumbuttrying! All these hormones, it's fine to be a bit crazy. Hell I was earlier on in the week and didn't think I was going to make it to the weekend the way I felt Monday but I'm here (well nearly!) 💁🏽‍♀️

Helena86 · 19/02/2021 16:28

Well totally agree with @MIW01 that this thread moves fast. I know I'm a newbie here so going to confess I'm not familiar with all the lingo etc.

Just to update that I've had my early MC confirmed today. I was totally expecting it but still feel a bit flattened by it all.

So anyway, I'm here to rejoin the TTC gang. Previous to this MC we have been trying for over 1.5 years. No idea what will happen now, where my period is at or anything so that's all going to be fun.

Hoping to keep reading and getting to know where you are all at soon 😊🙏

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker nothing beats a POA. Everything crossed for you 🤞

ACMJ · 19/02/2021 19:55

Hi all!

I have been TTC for 18 months now! Currently on my 3rd cycle of letrozole and in my TWW! Good to meet you all x

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/02/2021 20:01

@Crazydoglady123 thank you 😊 I'm less crazy now that I've finished work. TGIF eh! ♥️
@Helena86 ah so sorry to hear, hope you're ok. We'll certainly help you through ♥️
@ACMJ hi, welcome 😊 good luck for this cycle! We'll be month 18 in March. We have male factor infertility so heading for ivf next month depending on upcoming appointments. Are you ttc for your first?
