Hi all hope you're all doing well? Just wondering if any of you know - my docs sending me for 21 day bloods BUT my af is all over the place! I'm cd24 today and have brown spotting when I wipe and if that means af is on her way tonight/tomorrow I'll only have a 25 day cycle and I don't know if the 21day will be accurate or if next month will be longer 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm all confused

Hayley19835 · 15/02/2021 17:56

@Marvellouslymadmum I have the same issue 24 day cycle had my bloods done day 21 by my gp but when I was seen by fertility they told me I need to do it between CD17 and CD19 as day 21 is usually done for a 28 day cycle. Hope that helps xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/02/2021 18:13

@Hayley19835 ahh thank you! The go told me to call once af started so if she arrives properly I'll call her tomorrow and see what she says

Crazydoglady123 · 15/02/2021 18:58

Ladies, I've just posted a new thread but I'm really struggling to switch off from TTC this last month. I don't know if it's because it's been such an awful month with the pain and the cysts or even if the Clomid has affected my moods but I feel so up and down and all day long TTC is at the front of my brain. You'd think with the ivf tests booked for a few weeks time I'd feel more relaxed but I'm not and I'm really struggling. Does anyone have any advice to help get TTC out of my head as much? I know lockdown isn't helping as there isn't anywhere to go or do but I'm busy with work but just finding it so hard to concentrate 😔

Thank you so much @CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I'm going to have a read of all of those tonight! My OH is big time into the law of attraction and I really can't get into that mindset but I know I need something now. Like you say you just find yourself googling rubbish or looking for someone who's had a similar story to you and pregnant. When we start our IVF I'm going to sign up for the counselling that goes with it definitely.

Thank you @CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker the Fertility Tribe blog is sooo good and makes total sense to me! I'm going to give it a try tomorrow and this is my plan:
✨ I'm going to try and organise my thoughts tomorrow.
✨ I'm going to set out some goals in the morning and give myself time allocations for thinking about it or coming on mumsnet or Googling random stuff
✨ If I find myself slipping I'm going to read a bit of a new book I bought the other day
✨ Get out for some more fresh air and do some yoga
✨ I'm going to try and write down my thoughts once a day

I just need to sort my head out and soon but I think this is going to work so thank you 🙏

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/02/2021 07:58

@MIW01 my family are like that too! My sister got pregnant whilst on the pill and has pcos 🤦🏾‍♀️ unexplained must be so hard! It's male factor for us and I suspect I have endo.
@Hayley19835 how you coping in the tww wait? Do you test or just wait for AF to come?
@Marvellouslymadmum it should still be accurate. My cycles range from 24-26 days and I got my day 21s fine. It should be 7dpo rather than cd21.
@Crazydoglady123 sounds like you've got a good mantra in place now and you've found the nutty thread so we'll keep you entertained 😁
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker love that infertility pic, have saved that!

I've got my virtual appointment with the reproductive unit tomorrow. Had to complete a questionnaire beforehand but not really sure what will be discussed considering we have an appointment on the 22nd to do amh and a repeat SA. Will keep you all posted!

@notyetamumbuttrying I've banned tests with our MFI being so bad I've told myself no point testing till AF is late as it's been over 2 years since my miscarriage so it's such a slim chance it'll be positive

crazycatlady1981 · 16/02/2021 09:33

Hi all! Just catching up on the thread!
Currently 7dpo and have been trying desperately not to go nuts during the tww!!

@notyetamumbuttrying so glad that your appt didn’t get cancelled! Hopefully you’ll have some dates in place soon!!

@Annny27 my friend had the same scenario with her GP. She’d been ttc for several years, then got pregnant and sadly had a MMC at 10 weeks and was then told to ttc for another 2 years before being allowed IVF on nhs. On a positive note, she had IVF 2 years later and now has a 18month old from her first fresh round. It’s so difficult to wait though when you’ve been trying so long!

We are still waiting to hear from the fertility nurse about applying for nhs funding (who we’ve had no contact with yet, so can’t even chase it up!!) and we’re going to give it another month or 2 and then may go private instead if we haven’t heard by april as time is not on our side!

@Motherofkittens28 Sorry that you are having side effects. Hope your next scan goes well! Good idea to take some time off though!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker that picture sums it up so well! People who haven’t struggled ttc just don’t get it at all!

@Hayley19835 ah yes, you're the same as me! I don't bother either, especially as we don't know if it's improved or not. We don't have long to wait now tho yay!! I really hope it's improved for his sake more than anything as he has been good on the whole.
@crazycatlady1981 ooh it's the worst part of the tww 7dpo, hope you get through unscathed! I'm just waiting for ov now, should be Friday if it stays at cd12. Can only do it Friday as well as his SA is on Monday so that'll be the 3 days abstained. Thank you, very pleased they were calling for more appointments rather than cancellations lol!
Hope you hear from the nurse soon, that sounds stressful! We're likely going private because of the long nhs wait times. Neither of us want to wait another year so we'll be using our savings for private.
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker will defo be reporting bk. it's not until 3pm, all my nhs appointments always seem to be late afternoon. The one on the 22nd is at 430pm! Thanks for the luck, you too hun ♥️

@notyetamumbuttrying keeping everything crossed for you both that it has improved 🤞🏻 xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/02/2021 10:34

@Hayley19835 thank you 😊 have you chosen your private clinic yet?

OP posts:
Hayley19835 · 16/02/2021 11:01

@notyetamumbuttrying
No not yet we have one more follow up with our nhs consultant on the 9th then we got to option to go with her private or look elsewhere. There's 2 clinics 20 minutes from us or another a bit further away. Prices obviously vary massively, it's all just a bit mind blowing all the information that's out there 🤯

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/02/2021 12:55

@Hayley19835 yeah there's a lot to process! It's good the nhs are helping you pick. You can look on the hfea site as well. Live birth rates are the best stats! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/02/2021 12:59

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you, af has arrived in full swing today 😒 so I'll cal the docs and see when she books me in. Good luck with your appointment!

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/02/2021 13:20

@Marvellouslymadmum ah sorry hun, hope you get the appointment sorted. Thank you, will keep you posted x

OP posts:
Hayley19835 · 16/02/2021 13:50

I've had a quick glance but once we've had our follow up will do some more research. Who'd have thought this baby business was so difficult x

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/02/2021 14:55

@Hayley19835 horrendous really! 😩

I've had a friend moaning to me today that she's put on two stone and she's 9 months pregnant!! She doesn't know we're having issues but she does know we're ttc as another loud mouth friend told her! But yeah, very fucking annoying! This is her second child, she got pregnant with her first, first month trying. I knew she'd have a second before I'd even had my first and it's happened!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 16/02/2021 16:32

Spoke to the doc this afternoon and she's still going with 21 days even though my cycle was only 25 days this month. Though I have a feeling it'll be back to the 28ish day normal by next month, it falls on the day I have my blood test to check my iron again so she's just added progesterone, oestrogen and fsh too!

@notyetamumbuttrying it sucks with friends getting pregnant all the time, I'm a nail and beauty tech and have hundreds of friends on fb that have all been off work and are pregnant or have had babies during Covid and I'm still here waiting grrr

Annny27 · 16/02/2021 16:36

Afternoon ladies :) 15dpo and been spotting for a few days so period will probably arrive tomorrow at 16dpo. It annoys me because I know I am out when the spotting starts but why does my period take so long to arrive haha!

@Motherofkittens28 are you doing accupuncture at the moment or anything to try and relax yourself and take your mind off things? It must be so tricky to try and not worry constantly

@notyetamumbuttrying hopefully because you have MFI that nhs will push you forward to ivf sooner! Oh BTW the nhs said that if I had one Ivf round and it didn't work rhat I could still get nhs entitled ivf :)

@Hayley19835 yeah I guess then its only the actual cost of the ivf that you are paying then and not all the pre tests!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker love that diagram about what people see and what they don't see! They don't see me welling up when I see families in the park because that's what I want so badly! Or they don't see me disinterested in everything because I am constantly waiting to the bfp! Its hard

@crazydoglady123 I feel very similar 💗 it might sound silly and without coming across as Mrs hinch haha - I like to make lists of things I need to do around to house e.g clean the blinds or change the sheets. And it gives me a bit of purpose for that day. Sounds so tragic when I write it down 🤣

@crazycatlady1981 thanks for sharing the story of your friend! I love hearing positives like that 🥰🥰

@Marvellouslymadmum sorry that AF arrived :( mine will be here tomorrow!

Everyone having pancakes tonight? :D

Loki21 · 16/02/2021 16:46
