@notyetamumbuttrying oooh I am going to have a look at the packages. I am with Care Tunbridge Wells. Even though we have 2 NHS rounds if they don't work we will go pay privately so good to know what options there are.

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 13:29

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I chose care based on two ladies that I chat to regularly went with them and also their live birth rates were really good! I was given a website to check clinics out myself, will dig the link out and post it later. I don't know what SO is but apparently iui is useless for male factor as the sperm still have to swim up the tubes. My Dh only has 14% motility so they ain't getting up no tubes 😂 at least with ivf with icsi the sperm is injected directly into the egg and placed in you. No actual work for the sperm at all then! Consultation with care is on the 10th March. My appointment with nhs guys hospital is 22nd feb.
Sorry to hear about the anxiety, I get it too! Good you're getting it seen to, well done 👍🏾
@Motherofkittens28 happy birthday 🥳
@Dogmum13 I'm 8dpo too and have aches and pains in my vag, not nice 😣
@thislittlebird they've announced it already. It's on their main page on fb or on the website.
@Narwhal88 yeah go for it!! Unlimited and refund ones look good for us.

@notyetamumbuttrying do you have endo by any chance? I get those sharp stabbing pains in that area sometimes and atm I've got stabbing pains/cramps in the ovary area

Theawkwardblonde · 01/02/2021 13:56

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker think we've discussed anxiety before (I'm bipolar with GAD). Definitely think TTC plus lockdown heightens anxiety. I'm finding it hard just to get out of bed domes days, as everyday is just the same. Same anxieties, worries etc. Can't go anywhere, can't go away. Think that all makes it so much harder. You're not alone ☺️ exercise is my biggest help. If I didn't have that I would have lost it a long time ago.

@PeanutButterBrownies welcome!

@Motherofkittens28 happy birthday!

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/02/2021 14:42

Happy birthday @Motherofkittens28

I'm looking into the packages with care and any others that are around too, as I've checked the nhs criteria for our area and it says if your 40 or above it's a no and any previous children on either side is a no! That's us out on both counts 😕 though I'm hopeful we can at least get some tests done anyway so will speak to the gp when I get results of other tests through

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 14:57

@Dogmum13 no, have had an ultrasound and bloods and endo wasn't seen. Plus my periods are regular so I don't think it's that. I do have a small fibroid so perhaps it's grown in size and that could be causing the increased pain? I do always get these sorts of aches and pains about a week before AF anyway, just feels more noticeable sometimes.
@Marvellouslymadmum best of luck with it all! 🍀

@notyetamumbuttrying don't worry about the love island issue, I love some occasional trashy reality TV!
@Motherofkittens28 happy birthday lovely!
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I have anxiety issues, it actually stopped is TTC for a year or two because the idea of going through...this gave me panic attacks. I still have to keep an eye on it, and try and recognise flare ups (not always successfully!)
@dogmum13 2nd week nausea is the worst, especially as that's when the TTC rot sets in and your brain starts saying "def preggo, let's look up fun maternity stuff and nursery furniture".

PeanutButterBrownies · 01/02/2021 15:21

@notyetamumbuttrying IVF with ICSI sounds like a great option for you! Have to confess that I've had my head firmly stuck into the sand about fertility until very recently and was extremely ignorant about how many types of treatment there are for subfertile couple before starting to read this thread - it's definitely making me hopeful Smile thanks team!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker lol thank you, so it's not the kind of club where everyone likes to wear their badge everywhere they go?

@Theawkwardblonde thank you! Have to second what you've said about how valuable exercise has been - especially during lockdowns. As much as I never ever ever want to do it before I get started, when I just push through and get on with it, I normally feel so much better after! And if not, then at least I had a go and can tick it off my list (does anyone else just love making lists??)

@Motherofkittens28 Happy Birthday!

Dogmum13 · 01/02/2021 15:44

@notyetamumbuttrying ahh I have those pains too but they are referring me for suspected endo, they told me the only way to tell is to do a laparoscopy so I'm expecting that at some point but who knows how long I'll have to wait. Mine are regular too 🙂 yeah maybe the fibroid or a cyst or something?

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 16:03

@Tofu35 it's the best isn't it 😂 I just know the menfolk sometimes can't stand it 😆 mine "hates" love island yet always asks me what's happening so he clearly loves it 😂
@PeanutButterBrownies glad you're feeling hopeful now that's great! 😃 we're like a hive mind on here 😁
@Dogmum13 oh that's interesting! I always thought it affected those with irregular and heavy periods and because mine are regular and normal flow, I always ruled this out for me. Perhaps I should shout a bit louder about it then and get a lap too! I wish they actually told you all these things rather than having to just find out by chance lol! I'll have another google of it too.

@notyetamumbuttrying do you get bad ovulation pains? Yeah best to push for it and then you'll know if you have it or not at least. My dr told me you don't have to have all the symptoms to have it cause I was gobsmacked when she suggested it lol

Crazydoglady123 · 01/02/2021 16:27
@galatea098 wow! Congrats! That’s amazing! So nice to have a BFP in this group, it’s gives us all hope! 🙂

@notyetamumbuttrying that’s some crazy long wait times! My DH has also said let’s just go private if it’s that long, we’re not getting any younger! I think if we had decided to go private before Xmas, we would have been starting by now. But they told us NHS funding wouldn’t take that long at all. Currently waiting to hear from the fertility nurse at the satellite clinic for an appt about funding and having a few final tests, but lord knows how long it will take for that to happen!

@Motherofkittens28 well done for doing your first injection! Hope it gets easier as you get used to it! Is it just one injection a day or more than that?

@Crazydoglady123 welcome fellow crazy animal lover! 😬 Wow, you’ve really been through it the last few months! Hope you are doing ok and haven’t got a litter on the way this month! 🙂
Thank you. Still feeling pretty rubbish with the cysts tbh. I've never experienced bloating like this. I keep burping today too and getting heartburn which I've never had before Confused I'm going to test on Wednesday and see if I have my litter of babies Hmm

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 16:28

@Dogmum13 yeah I do 🙈 I've just read up on it again and I do have the symptoms! I get pain after sex and I told the dr and sonographer this!! How have they not suggested a lap, I'm furious! I'll bring this up at my nhs appointment this month and see if I can get booked in for one. Thanks for making me readdress this. All my pains are classic endo signs, how did I not see this! Ah well, done now. My period last month was so so horrendous so if it is endo, it's getting worse 😖

@PeanutButterBrownies

Morning everyone Smile hope it's okay to join in. I came on these forums months ago in the early days of TTC and just got incredibly stressed out by them, with a massive list of things I had to do to optimise our chances and constantly worrying about everything. And clearly none of it worked anyway! This thread seems really supportive, and much more gently informative - and amusing at times Grin. Congrats on the BFP!

I'm approaching 29 and TTC#1 for 17 months. We've only recently seen our GPs, I've had my blood tests and ultrasound come back normal so just waiting on DPs SA now. CD#3 so it's been a weekend of wallowing and chocolate for me but ready for a new month now!

Welcome @PeanutButterBrownies! Hopefully your GP starts getting the ball rolling quickly for you
Dogmum13 · 01/02/2021 16:42

@notyetamumbuttrying no problem 😊 sometimes you have to look at things from a different angle to see them! I've joined Benenden so if I don't get called by July then I can use that to get seen quicker. My symptoms seem to get worse and then I get the odd month with no symptoms xx

PeanutButterBrownies · 01/02/2021 17:19

@Crazydoglady123 thanks, I'm just getting impatient now to get the SA results so we can start planning our next steps. Also wanted to say that I LOVE your username, I too am a crazydoglady Grin what kind of dog do you have?

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 17:35

@Dogmum13 what's Benenden? I had spotting this month as well which I don't usually get. Not at 6/7dpo anyway, it would only be at 12dpo or something. Our bodies are weird right! 🙈xx
@PeanutButterBrownies your username is good too! They're the best brownie flavour! Closely followed by salted caramel 😋
When do you get the SA results bk?

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 01/02/2021 17:45

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah I got spotting once and git excited but nothing ever cane of it. It's like private health insurance but not quite, you get bumped up NHS waiting lists and seen almost instantly once you've been with them 6 months

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 18:58

@Dogmum13 that's what gonna happen to me isn't it 😂🙈 was it brown btw? Like old blood (sorry for the tmi)! Oh wow never heard of that, will have a google now 👍🏾

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 01/02/2021 20:23

Yes brown 😬 Benenden is only £11.50 a month 🙂

Tofu35 · 01/02/2021 21:25

Hot water bottle out, have some cramps at 5DPO. Rubbish!

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/02/2021 21:52

@Dogmum13 have looked now but I couldn't see that ivf was included? Plus takes 6 months to get treatments.
@Tofu35 ouch! Sorry lovely. I felt like that at 6dpo but wasn't quite bad enough for a hot water bottle. Hope it eases soon 💐

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 01/02/2021 23:48

@notyetamumbuttrying no fertility stuff wouldn't be covered, it's only for essential treatments but the laparoscopy would for endo. That's why I joined 🙂 I'm also waiting on a really long list for neurology too and it's always handy to have for any other health issues. You get a free 24/7 gp line too

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/02/2021 07:14

@Dogmum13 ah gotcha! Sorry, I'm clearly not with it these days 😂 yeah I saw that part and thought that was good. Hope you don't have to wait too long to be seen by neurology! X

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 02/02/2021 07:17

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks 😊 I'm prioritising the laparoscopy first and then will get it sorted next
