Honestly howling at our lack of seduction techniques 🤣🤣 definitely cheered me right up!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I was a tad more generous-mine was "I'm at work at 6am. I will be asleep in 5 minutes. GO!" 🤣🤣🤣

@Tofu35 that's funny 😂😂 I usually shout I'm ovulating and the poor bloke knows to enter the bedroom.

Narwhal88 · 28/01/2021 21:18

Omg I'm cracking up 😂😂😂 as soon as my period ends my DH asks me each day 'do you need some dick tonight?' or sometimes he just randomly finds the OPKs and has learnt what a positive one looks like so just gets himself ready 🤣

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/01/2021 21:34

@Narwhal88 he's a keeper 👍🏾 love it! 😏

@Annny27 Its about whether they down regulate you or not. On a long its about two weeks of down regulation before you start the stims, on a short you go straight into the stims. The long one is supposed to get your ovaries to produce more eggs than they would in a normal month, the short works with what you normally produce but gets more of them to mature than the 1 that you get naturally. Because I only had a follicle count of 10 in my last cycle they are being more aggressive to try to get me to produce more eggs than that. Some people on my ivf chat have had 30+ eggs extracted so starting with 10, not all of which will get to maturity is starting one step behind

kerrym87 · 29/01/2021 13:14

I'm just waiting for AF, due Monday on a 12 hour shift with a colleague who can be an arse.....not feeling hopeful although very few PMS symptoms, feeling a bit miserable /sorry for myself! My hubby has also been keeping track of how many days between dtd and offering a sample if I've been at work or feeling yucky.....funny how i often dtd revolves around comments like 'the gates are now open and rather slippery'!

crazycatlady1981 · 29/01/2021 16:48

Just caught up on the thread! Thanks for the laughs ladies! 😂 Just what I needed! In our house, I usually just announce that I have the right mucus and DH knows what that means! 🤣

AF showed up on Wednesday so I’ve been feeling crappy for the last few days! Oh well! Time to bulk buy the opks again!

@Motherofkittens28 any info you want to share on the ivf would be much appreciated! I’m trying to learn as much as possible before we go through it ourselves!
I think I’m also likely to be on the long protocol as the consultant talked about down regulation at our appt.

Hey, hope it's okay to join! I'm month 24 TTC, CD23. These comments about DTD proper made me giggle.

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/01/2021 00:12

@Crazydoglady123 we have a @crazycatlady1981 too!! It's meant to be 😂 wow 24 months! Is this for no1? Have you got unexplained? Plans for ivf coming up? Glad you enjoyed the lazy sex chats 😆 are you as bad as us? X

@notyetamumbuttrying Yay! I'm not the only crazy animal person haha Grin Definitely meant to be!
TTC my second. My first is 9 (but different dad). DH has had two SA. First was low, Second was a lot higher and ranges good except slightly low on morphology but urology consultant and my gynae consultant is happy with him. Since having previous child I've been diagnosed with PCOS although my consultant believes not PCOS, just PCO. Plus I have had a large ovarian cyst about 5/6 years ago that had to be removed via laparoscopy. They believe I'm not ovulating so I had 3 rounds of letrozole last cycle and 21 day bloods showed I hadn't ovulated so they've moved me onto clomid. Since around the time of ovulating this cycle on clomid I've been in loads of discomfort, pain and bloating so went for a private scan on Wednesday to find both ovaries enlarged, 4 ruptured haemorraghic cysts around 2-3cm each on my left ovary and a 4.6cm rupturing haemorraghic cyst on my right. Lots of free fluid in my POD and pelvis. Due to go back for a scan with my consultant next month to re evaluate so not sure where I go from here. The sonographer and fertility nurse seem too think having 5 cysts mean I potentially has released 5 eggs so a little bit paranoid that I could be pregnant to quints!!! I did take a PT yesterday but wasn't first urine although I had held it and hadn't drank for a couple of hours and was BFN. I'd be due AF anytime from Wednesday although my cycles can be 28-35 days. Crazy dog lady bites back...could be preggers to a litter! haha.

Sex 24 months in on certain days is...challenging! The meme someone posted earlier of updating your app after sex is spot on. I keep telling the other half can't he just watch porn or something and then come to me when he's 'ready' Wink

Crazydoglady123 · 30/01/2021 08:19

To add TTC number 1 was easy. I came off pill and fell pregnant within a couple of cycles.

Morning all, just did my first injection this morning, it was a bit stingy but not too bad. Two weeks of this and then a scan to see if I'm ready to start the stims

@galatea098 Congratulations!!!

Dogmum13 · 30/01/2021 11:17

@galatea098 congratulations! How long have you been ttc? Any tips or do anything different this month?

Annny27 · 30/01/2021 11:26

Morning everybody 🥰 cd12 and had ewcm for the past 3 days so I am in fertile week now. I had a dream I had a positive pregnancy test and I always wake up a bit sad after those dreams! I remember the feeling and relief of a positive pregnancy test with the pregnancy that I miscarried and I would do anything to have not experienced the last 16 months after that point! But in the words of Kelly Clarkson "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger......and wanting to never have sex again" (okay she didn't say that last bit :p)

@galatea098 congratulations lovely! Awesome to see it written down like that :D

@motherofkittens28 glad the first injection went well! Did it the you a while to hype yourself up to do it or were you pretty calm?

@narwhal88 hahaha! Yep my husband will ask me if he is needed or not 🤣🤣 just a tool to make a baby these days 😅😅😅

@notyetamumbuttrying any symptoms in the tww or do you not take notice now?

@crazydoglady123 welcome lovely - we started ttc in June 2019, conceived in September 2019 but then miscarried November 2019 and have been ttc ever since! My DH had low sperm issue she first analysis but improved to normal levels in the end analysis so I am hoping it does the trick 🥰

@crazycatlady1981 my DH used to physically cringe when I talked about cervical mucus - now he is all for knowing about it 🤣

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/01/2021 11:55

@Crazydoglady123 wow quite a story! Here's hoping you get everything sorted and don't end up with quints!!
@galatea098 yippee! You must be thrilled 😄
@Motherofkittens28 well done darling! 😘
@Annny27 nah I take no notice of that anymore 😂 Dh poor sperm can't make it through my tubes so I am far from pregnant lol! We just dtd on those days out of sheer habit and desperation now 😆
Yay to FW, go get you some! Eek hate those dreams! Love a bit of Kelly Clarkson 🤟🏾
So I'm on a guy's hospital ivf thread and a lady had her consultation yesterday and reported bk to us today that funding usually takes 6-8 weeks to be approved. She said she was told it's now taking 3-6 months to be approved and 6-8 months to start treatment 😱 I told Dh and he said straight away without me saying it first, we're going private! So I'm calling the clinic I chose before, on Monday and will see what their wait times are like. We'll still go to the nhs guys appointment so that we get the amh and second SA paid for and to hear it from the dr themselves! But yeah, how mad are those wait times if that is indeed true?!

Motherofkittens28 · 30/01/2021 12:14

Congrats @galatea098! I missed your post when I looked earlier! Wonderful news

Motherofkittens28 · 30/01/2021 12:18

@notyetamumbuttrying those are crazy wait times! I had my first appointment at the private clinic on 21st December and we essentially started everything on day 1 of my next cycle which was 9th Jan to give you a guide, so it can be really quick. So glad I didn't wait for my Laparoscopy as I'm sure it won't happen for ages now due to covid.

Tofu35 · 30/01/2021 14:31
