It’s a New Year TTC bitches and of course it’s time for a new bus...

2020 was a bit of a TWATFACE for us
2021...is surely EXACTLY the number of babies we are owed by now.

@2020mission yes I remember that we had both our BFPs close together. Oh hun we both have as good a chance, there's no guarantee with anything. I have faith that you'll have your sticky rainbow bean in 2021 💕

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah might get a goal this summer I think!! DH said "he can't catch" when I mentioned it was gonna be on the after age 2 checklist & I said "well have you taught him?? How do you think he learnt to kick during lockdown? Have you bought him a mini rugby ball? 👀 I've bought him a mini football 🤪"

Ladies I wanted to share this update I read today about the covid vaccine & pregnancy/breastfeeding as it has a few comments about the vaccine & ttc.

The basics are that women who have other risk factors for covid will be offered the vaccine even if they're pregnant. Until now the advice was noone pregnant can have it because it's so unknown however scientists & advisors have discussed it and compared the risks for other non live vaccines and advised that you are now able to be offered it if you meet the criteria for it... So if you have a condition that you were shielding for or are a health care worker/care worker (due to higher risk of exposure).

If you're breastfeeding they say there's no need to delay the vaccine as other non live vaccines don't cross the milk so unlikely to do so... But your antibiodies could on e they're developed so it may be a good thing.

And those TTC can have it and don't need to delay conception. Thats all it says in that atm so I'm going to keep my eyes open about that to explore why the change of heart. My gut says it's the same as above and that other non-live vaccines havnt caussed issues. Although its not proven and it won't be for a while, its just anecdotal evidence.

It was at a time I was scrambling to catch up and had no time to reply, but by gee I'm glad I didn't miss that.

I'll tell you a secret. Over the last 8 or whatever months on this thread I have become so much more sexually adventurous! I was 100% 🙅🏼‍♀️ on any arse action at the beginning because of my drains, and now I love it 🙊 and my OH LOVES that I love it. He says he doesn't give a toss about the drain. So I'm honestly excited to try the butt plug 🤣 I promise I'll report back.

Oh shit your friends.. I'm sorry that sounds totally rubbish, and @Minster2012 is absolutely right you are NOT a bitch and do NOT need to apologise. I blatantly cried when my friend (delicately) told me she was pregnant soon after my medical termination, and told her I was so happy for her but just sad for me. Because she knew the situation it was much more open and easier, we hugged and cried together.
I realise not everyone will feel comfortable discussing these things with friends, but I can put my hand up and say for me being open about it all was a good release and relief 💗

Interesting vaccine info, thank you. Ours isn't being rolled out until March 🙄 but I will be keeping a keen ear out.

@Idreamof2more I've had that in early preg. My advice - don't be a martyr and wait till it's really bad. Not sure what products available in UK but I used chocolate flavoured movicol sachets once a day to maintain a generally softer stool, but also enemas when it got worse. Prunes and prune juice also helpful!

@Franklydear I've been keeping up with all your DS and work shenanigans and think you are such a trooper! Super woman 🏆
I was thinking though, I hope you log all the bullshit your boss boy does, just as you do for your DS sometimes? Having all that recorded makes a bullying claim much easier....

@Sausage1990 thats interesting about the vaccine. Me and my midwife actually had a chat about it at my appointment on Monday and she was asking if I wanted the normal flu one because obviously they push it when you're pregnant and even more so at the moment but I said no thanks I didn't have it when I was pregnant the first time and was pregnant through more months of winter and this time flu season as such is nearly over. She said the advice at the moment is for pregnant woman not to have the vaccine but that during my pregnancy that during my pregnancy that may chance and I may be offered it, but they're really pushing the normal flu vaccine even though flu season is basically over 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

@Skip86 you were not impressed by Elle ?🤣🤣 I love her normally with her usual content but this pregnancy content is just taking the piss a little bit especially for girls who are ttc, but then I did say maybe we're just bitter 😅

@Sausage1990 that's interesting, i got my flu vaccine back in Oct the week before our transfer last time & I asked the clinic about having it before the transfer of the embryo & they said it's fine, better to have than not. Also
I also spoke to one of my best mates yesterday who is a pharmacist & she got her Covid vaccine last night & she was very wary of how fast they had gone through so she requested the full thesis' of them and read them all & decided that the Pfizer one is a medical marvel, so she has had that one, she thinks it's amazing & has no concerns over that one at all even for TTC she said to me (she knows about the miscarriage & guesses we will go again but doesn't know) so I found that interesting too

I may not have a bumflap onesie like @minster2012 but I got one of these beauties and I swear it's a great way to get that 🍆 on demand 🤣 the OH goes mad coz it's got easy boob access... and exposes the butt too 🙈 I've never felt good about my body being plus size but since being with my OH my wardrobe has expanded to include sooo many babydolls and stockings lmao ..... omg its snowingg!!!! .... sorry im easily distracted 🤣

@Skip86 yes, everything logged, DH is a manager so I log everything he thinks would get him in hot water, unfortunately in public sector nobody will get more than a don't do it again, unless murder, I've known cases of physical violence that didn't result in sacking.... but is not bad to have it

@lucyrp flu season starts in December, we vacinate a couple of months ahead in case starts early, from an asthmatic who had the flu before, it is safe in pregnancy, you can take it, I recommend you do, there are other vaccines that aren't known to be safe in pregnancy and I had to wait until 6 weeks postpartum
@Minster2012 love the feedback from your friend, for what I can see they just did several stages at once, instead of waiting for the data to carry on the next stage, big gamble if any of the stages doesn't come as expected, the whole thing is void

@Franklydear I didn't have it last time I was pregnant and that was from august to April so I'm not keen on having it again. DS has never had it either x

@Minster2012 hahaha she is very annoying, I didn't find her annoying until she was pregnant though, that's like me, I torture myself by watching her videos and reading her posts! Not anymore though

@Justanothercyster definitely not a bitch!! You can be happy for someone but sad for yourself at the same time! It's a completely normal emotion to have! Keep your chin up! Little bit of nerdy info for @lucyrp, will explain why they are pushing, if you don't get enough oxygen for any reason the body will prioritize the baby and starve you, same as with food, in that case you will have to stay the rest of the pregnancy in hospital, that's a big risk for me due to the asthma, so bricking it a bit, on Ds pregnancy, the placenta produced more than enough oxygen so it was like I didn't have asthma, so it can go well too

@lucyrp o come to it from a very different perspective, it I get the flu it can be life-threatening, so my whole household needs to be vaccinated, my brother's in law were not impressed when I lived with them in uni a lifetime ago

@Franklydear oh yea I totally understand, my mums best friends son has CF so they're household has to have it and she has to be really careful with work and seeing people etc even in normal times. X

@Dollybird89 thank you!! And isn't it amazing how good you can feel about your body with undies?! & how much a bloke can affect that?? I've always been pretty adventurous with partners but had to relearn to love myself again since all my surgeries and the first time DH & I had sex I just said to myself "you've told him you have scars he's got to see them at some point if the relationship is to go further" and I put on nice underwear & met him at the door in just a dressing gown. You'll no doubt learn more from the blog too. I don't have any pics from that time but I found one the other day of in between when we were in love & I'd put a love a happiness weight on 😂🤣that might make it. I said the other day our sex drawer might need a new wardrobe 🤣it's snowed here this morning too

I just thought, if I take pregnacare (cos I've got 2 packets left) & these....is that overdosing on vitamin A?

I've been told before I need extra vitamin D & B12 so that's why I take the omega 3 with vit D & the B12 and I'm not currently taking pregnancare but before I start it again I just realised are you meant to have so much Vit A???

Should I just take take the pregnacare & B12? And a separate pure cod liver?

@Sausage1990 thank you for sharing that. It's all so new I guess the recommendations are going to continue to alter as it is rolled out. Definitely going to be a case of risk assessment for now. I don't consider myself very vulnerable but I am in a risk category for covid so need to balance that.

@sausage1990 thank you for the info! I checked the vaccine calculator this week and it says that I can expect to get it between Feb-July 2022 lol SO I SWEAR TO GOD I HOPE I HAVE A BABY BY THEN.

2DPO, nothing to report. Had lovely BD yday. Makes me want to get a bit more adventurous too but whenever I have a look online none of the toys appeal... and I'm def not confident enough to wear anything naughty atm! Need to lose weight first ha. Which reminds me - the washing machine in the new house is the perfect height to BD on and I can't wait to try it but am horrified at the thought of my chubby self on there...

Morninggg, ahhh my dd is on one this morning! Hyper, attention seeking and wanting to play every damn game in the house lol! 🤦‍♀️🤣
Had a bit more pinkish discharge this morning after it stopping yesterday, slightly heavy achy feeling down there :( so expecting AF today, but after a 2 day temp drop this morning it rose by 0.33f so have no idea what's going on. Wasted a frer and an ic hpt but telling myself there's nothing there. But not sure if its too early to test since I'm still spotting?
