Its nearly 2021... the year we start TTC! Anyone else excited?

I'm sure we can all agree that there are a lot of reasons to not TTC right now... but I'm almost 32 and DH and I would like 2 children so really need to get a shuffle on with the first...

Justifying myself aside, I just really needed to get my excitement out somewhere where people will understand!

I've got my conception vitamins and some myo-isotol to hopefully help regulate my irregular cycles. My copper coil is coming out in April... then its all systems go!

Anyone else starting TTC in 2021? I'm a bit excited

We have 2 months (2 pill packets) before I can come off it and we can start trying. I'm so excited and curbing my broodiness by following everyone on here 😂

After much discussion DH and I have decided that I’ll come off the pill later this year. It’s my 30th in a few months and I’m really hoping that we can fit in one last holiday beforehand (COVID permitting).

I spent most of 2020 feeling really on the fence about it, but the more I think about it the more excited I get!

@IndigoJam I had 3 days of flashing and then static on day 16 which was exactly the same (by the hour) as last month! Yeah I bought the cheap little sticks for the afternoon one ☝️

I’m on CD20, Flo app seems to think I O’d on CD15, FF app seems to think I O’d on CD18, I seem to think I haven’t O’d as had no symptoms and negative OPKs so f**k knows just waiting now and will DTD when I feel like it until AF shows up or not!

I haven't tracked ovulation or anything just dtd as and when so not expecting anything but still kinda excited

@IndigoJam my cycles are 29 days and I ovulate day 16, always get a positive day 15 at midday. CD 14 is the typical date to ovulate so that’s perfect for you!

Hi all!

We have been having unprotected sex but are going to start trying properly in February, had my last mini pill on the 8th Dec and had a short withdrawral bleed about 2 weeks after that. Just waiting for my 1st proper AF to come so I can start tracking ovulation after that because Flo predictions don't seem accurate. Done several OPK in the last few weeks and all negative. I even did a PG test just to rule it out but BFN - don't know what I was expecting tbh.

Excited and nervous to start ttc properlythough. Having read all the forums on the conception board, I'm a natural worrier so I just assume things could be difficult but at the same time I'm worried it will happen too soon haha

@Seraphina1993 good luck! I was 10 weeks all up for withdrawal and proper AF and also couldn’t get an OV reading but after first AF it all got more regular and easier to track 👍🏼

I'm on CD11 and have DTD every day since last Saturday apart from last night as I was exhausted! But today I got my peak on CB monitor!! So I'm hoping my LH surge didn't actually happen last night and I've missed it! I thought I at least had another day until my peak and last month I didn't peak until CD15!!

Would a short luteal phase affect me this month. The last 3 months I've been tracking my ovulation has been bang in the middle of the cycle and whatever day I ovulate, the same number of days after I have my period! If that's the case my period will be due in 11 days time

@TTCnum1 if you’ve missed your peak but still been dtd don’t worry, the best time to dtd is the few days before you OV anyway so that the swimmers are up there waiting for when the egg is released. I used to only dtd when I noticed the surge.

@TTCnum1 like Sophie said it’s fine as you’ll still have sperm in you from the previous 2 days. When you get your peak it means it’s detecting an LH surge, so you will ovulate within the next 12-36 hours. So as long as you do it today as well you’re definitely covered. It might actually be a good thing as your partner will have err replenished his stock haha x good luck!

Well at least my tww is down to 12 days with the fact I ovulated later than usual. I will not test until at least the Saturday before the 19th but even then I think will be too soon. Good thing is I only have 1 test so can't go wasting it

@SophieMorton and @Peadsnurse101 thanks for your replies! Do you think I'm out this month because I've ovulated on day 11 so my cycle will only be 22 days and therefore the luteal phase 11 days? My cycle length has varied massively over the last few months but this is the shortest one yet but ovulation has consistently happened bang in the middle of the cycle whatever length it is. So it isn't like ov is happening later and the luteal phase is therefore shorter between ov and period starting if that makes sense?

My cycle is between 22-25 days max. As long as you’re ovulating and dtd just before you surge and when you surge, the length shouldn’t matter 👍🏼

@TTCnum1 I usually OV day 9,10 or 11 of my cycle. However I’m still not pg doh but apparently the length makes no difference according to doctors etc!

Hi @IndigoJam and all. I’m good thank you, so I’m 6 DPO now so going to test this weekend (which still might be a little early but I’m inpatient lol). I’ve had really mild cramps in the pelvic area and this morning lower back pain which I never get, so that’s all promising! But I guess even if something is happening it depends if it implants successfully. Trying to not get too excited and remember that only about 38% of people get pregnant first month, so it would be unlikely!
How about you? Any symptoms?

Hi all can I join you? Although seem to be much later on that most (if not all) of you. Will be starting to TTC in November. Planning on having my mirena out in August so hopefully my periods will have regulated by then.

@Peadsnurse101 I'm only 4/5dpo at the most so no symptoms for me. Quietly hopeful. I'm testing Saturday too. I have one frer but have just ordered 2 CB tests that arrive on Saturday

@DunravenBadger I’m similar to you I’m on the pill and will be for another few months yet.

I turn 30 in September and I’m hoping that we can enjoy one last holiday before TTC (COVID has ruined those plans so far). Depending on our plans I’ll probably come off the pill just before my birthday or around the time we go on holiday.

Nice to "meet" another person in a similar boat @WhatAreWordsWorth. I'm 30 this year too - how exciting! Hoping we'll be able to have a couple of days away for it at some point but not the end of the world if we can't. Would likely only be a UK break for us anyway so not too bad if we're TTC or I'm pregnant before we're able to do something. Hope you're able to have your final pre-TTC holiday
