Its nearly 2021... the year we start TTC! Anyone else excited?

I'm sure we can all agree that there are a lot of reasons to not TTC right now... but I'm almost 32 and DH and I would like 2 children so really need to get a shuffle on with the first...

Justifying myself aside, I just really needed to get my excitement out somewhere where people will understand!

I've got my conception vitamins and some myo-isotol to hopefully help regulate my irregular cycles. My copper coil is coming out in April... then its all systems go!

Anyone else starting TTC in 2021? I'm a bit excited

@Newstart20 yes I get a high reading CD9 & then peak on CD10 & 11. I came off the pill 6 months ago and luckily I’ve been clockwork since with OV and AF so I haven’t bothered with measuring anything else.

Hi all, we are on month one of TTCing too! I’m cycle day 13 and got a flashy face on my clear blue ovulation tracker. I’ve been tracking my cycle for months so should ovulate on CD16 so baby dancing every day. So exciting! Trying to not get my hopes up for cycle 1! Xxx

Cd10 for me and got a high fertility. Expecting to peak tomorrow as I did last month but you never know. I'm never sure how often you should be dtd during this time. Everyday?, every second day? Whats everyone else doing?

Me and my DH will be starting to try around the start of summer.
Will be coming off the pill in March/April in preperation and actively trying from about June onwards.
Very excited that the time is finally coming 👏

@IndigoJam I would test twice a day once you hit high, especially as you don't think it will be too long.

I dtd everyday, if I can get away with it haha, everyday leading up to OV and the high/peak days and the day after too. Then I’m tired haha.

@SophieMorton good plan, I've got a 3 year old who tires me out by the time I get to bed I just want sleep haha. Need to up my game though if I actually want to get pregnant. Especially as I now seem to have a short fertile period compared to last time.

There will be a few of us testing in a couple of weeks then

Thanks for the 🤞🏼 @Jessmary94 it won’t be long until you can start! It only took me 2 months to get (to the hour) regular on OV & AF. I’d been on progesterone/cerazette for 18 yrs so wasn’t expecting to be as textbook as I’m

I hope its quick for me too. Only been taking the pill for around 18 months so hoping I'll get back to regular pretty fast 🤞 very excited to start trying, I'd have had our first a while ago but my DH wasn't ready so we waited xx

Yes we were supposed to wait until the spring. We had to put our small wedding back to the beginning of June so we didn’t want to be more than a couple of months pregnant at the wedding. But I just couldn’t wait haha so we brought TTCing forward to January. I’ve worked with babies forever and am just desperate to have my own... luckily my fiancé (eventually) agreed that with the Covid situation it’s worth just going for it! I know it can take 12 months so we thought we would get the ball rolling. I know when I ovulate and haven’t been on contraception for years, so hoping it won’t take that long. I know quite a few people that fell pregnant 1-3 months after coming off the pill so I think it’s unusual it makes a big difference... fingers crossed for you!

Another high for me today. Thats good. Might give me more of a fighting chance this month. Hows everyone else getting on?

Thinking of trying to conceive for the first time this year but probably not until the spring/early summer - we are in the process of moving house and I need to get my second dose of the Covid vaccine first (NHS nurse!).
Happy to see a few others in the same position!!
So excited and can’t stop thinking about it, I’d start trying now if I could haha but husband wants to wait until we’re in our house which I suppose is sensible!

We are the same spring/summer!! Think I will come off the pill in March but we won't be activy trying until the summer :) excited is an understatement xx

Another flashy for me this morning. I just assumed cause I ovulate early last month that it would be the same this month but apparently not. Which is good. More time to practice plus I havent had any signs of ovulation yet so I guess we will see.

Hows everyone else getting on thats trying this month?

I've gone straight from low to peak, today is CD 13 so ovulation will be within 48 hours. Last month I ovulated on CD18 so I guess it's just a bit variable.

I've decided to try ovulation strips just so I know my cycle as well as I can before ttc, don't want to spend a fortune so brought Amazon cheapies maybe that's the problem but the control line is thick and test line thin so makes it hard to tell if it's detected a surge I've not really used them before is this normal? I think I should ovulate either tomorrow or weds.

@IndigoJam any luck yet? LH surge usually happens after 12 midday so try testing in the afternoon too. I tested with clear blue at 8 abs nothing, then tested again at 11 abs positive. Finished fertile window and in 2WW now. Trying not to get my hopes up! Dtd 5 out of 6 days. My Ovia app says baby would be due end of September which is so exciting but such a tease as I know it’s only 38% chance of happening if all is healthy.
How are you all doing? My AF is due on the 19th, anyone else in 2 ww?

@Peadsnurse101 after 6 days of flashing I got by static this morning. I only test in the morning with CB. With the price of them I am reluctant to test more than once a day. When did you get your peak?
