@FluffyLittleDragon snap on the wedding front :) It was still the most amazing day even though our original guest list was 120!

What CD are you on?

FluffyLittleDragon · 04/01/2021 16:12

@Annabelle0852 that's so helpful, thank you.

@JeanieJ not sure 🤷🏽‍♀️. My contraceptive implant was removed in Dec 2020 so we've been TTC since 🤞🏽🙂. I've read that a few women become pregnant quite easily & not ovulating when they conceive. I'm waiting for my first AF & taking it one day at a time. I've been getting a few pre-period symptoms which can be confused with pregnancy. So I'm planning on waiting until the end of the month to see if AF visits me & if she doesn't then I'll take a test.

How are you all?

Emc16x · 04/01/2021 17:05

CD38. Still haven’t plucked up the courage to do a test. I started spotting on 2nd Jan. Started brown/pink and now brown. Only there when I wipe. I’m praying it’s implantation. Again, it’ll be a miracle but something just feels different.

@MamaPheebz are you waiting to test again? Praying that line gets darker and darker for you!

MiniBaker · 04/01/2021 17:18

@JeanieJ yes I completely agree about being sensitive to others I’m definitely not going to broadcast it when I find out and will just tell the people I need to as and when.

Wow! It’s amazing how many of us have so many similarities. We too were supposed to get married May 2020 but when I came off the pill in December 2019 we agreed to start trying in March 2020 as it wouldn’t matter if I fell pregnant a couple months before our wedding but like you I didn’t want to be big in my dress. But then when covid came in March we decided to postpone the wedding to September and so we held off starting trying until May. Our wedding was supposed to be abroad and then in April it looked like September was not going to happen so we cancelled it and just went on our own with just our parents and got married in August locally. It was actually really nice and I wouldn’t have wished it any other way either!

In terms of trying to relax, I’m trying yoga classes this year and trying to read more (books, not just googling pregnancy related topics) I also started acupuncture last month which has helped me relax a bit.

Congratulations on the new house! It sounds like you’ve packed a lot in.

How are you finding the TWW this cycle? Do you and your OH keep up the BDing or do you have more of a break? xx

Mrsknott · 04/01/2021 17:46

I think I started my period this month Sad I say I think because there was spotting once yesterday and once today. I am due in today so I guess it’s just a really light period this month. I am distraught again, and trying to convince my hubby that we need to try IUI in March because that will have been a year of trying. We had one very early miscarriage and nothing since. I am 40 and he is 31. I have 2 girls already but he has no children of his own so we wanted to go for it. But I don’t know how much longer I can go on for. There are no fertility issues as we have both been checked out. Have any of you lovely ladies tries IUI successfully?
Xx

Rd123 · 04/01/2021 17:55

Hi guys! Just want some advice.

I was using ClearBlue advanced OPKS which showed up as high fertility on 1st, 2nd and yesterday morning so we BD each night.. I ran out of them so took a normal one last night which showed low fertility which I thought was because I hadn’t had my LH surge yet. I took one this morning which had the same result.

I bought the advanced one that stores your details today and shows low, high and peak. I was expecting a high as I haven’t had a peak yet but it said low. I’m assuming I’ve ovulated? And maybe I missed the 12 hour gap of peak?

I only came off the pill on the 17th December so wasn’t really expecting to conceive this month but you know yourself you get obsessed! I also took my pill the first on the 29th and 30th and we didn’t know if we wanted to start trying but haven’t taken it since and have had ovulation pains and CM (sorry tmi). Sorry for rant! Happy Monday everyone x

MgW1 · 04/01/2021 20:04

@SunnydazeQ
No , just blood test via g.p. Didnt need a 21 day ovulation test in the end because I am having regular periods of 30 days in duration and G.P said that I will be ovulating xx

Leo37 · 04/01/2021 21:03

@MiniBaker

Hi *@Leo37*

I’m relatively new only joining last cycle and I’m picking some of them up as I go but not all so someone else may need to help me out here but, here goes....

OH - other half
DTD - do the deed
BD - baby dance
MC - miscarriage
CD - cycle day
DPO - days past ovulation
CP - chemical pregnancy
BFN - Big Fat Negative
and the one we’re all here for...
BFP - Big Fat Positive!

I’m sure there are loads other but I’m not sure of them all either...

Here are the abbreviations that were shared with my when asked the other day @FluffyLittleDragon
Tara1711 · 04/01/2021 21:28

Happy new year ladies! I’ve got no idea when/if I have ovulated this month, AF due on the 17th. Strangely I have had really sore boobs for the last couple of days which is really odd for me at this stage of my cycle! CD 18 and usually have a 31 cycle!

Not going to think too much of it as it’s probably nothing!

Is anyone else due AF around the 17th this month?!

SadieSazzle · 04/01/2021 21:44

@Tara1711 cycle buddy...I'm due AF on the 17th!

Tara1711 · 04/01/2021 22:05

@SadieSazzle ah! Do you know when you ovulated this month?

SadieSazzle · 04/01/2021 22:12

@Tara1711 I think yesterday! I decided to take a break from tracking and OPKs this month. I'm fairly regular though so pretty sure it was yesterday or maybe a day either side. How about you?

Annabelle0852 · 04/01/2021 22:32

@Tara1711 @SadieSazzle I'm due AF just after one the 18th.

SadieSazzle · 04/01/2021 22:40

Do you girls test or just wait for AF?
I just wait for AF and she is always bang on time!! 🙄 I sometimes get my hopes up with different symptoms but then she always ends up rearing her ugly head! Only one time in my ttc journey have I been late - 6 days late it was, I got really excited but then she appeared...she must have just slept in!

SadieSazzle · 04/01/2021 22:47

Sorry @Tara1711 just saw your previous message where you said you're not sure if/when you ovulated this month. Hopefully the sore boobs are a good sign though!

Billythecat · 04/01/2021 23:19

Hi! Hope it’s ok if I join? TTC #1 - I am 30 and DH is 32. Had coil removed in late June and been TTC since Oct 2020. I had my first cry about getting my period last week as I was hoping so much that that would be it. Getting so hard to hear so many pregnancy announcements irl- obviously I am happy for them, but I also want it to be us. I have endometriosis which worries me in case it causes any issues, but my dr seemed positive about it tbh.

Trying to be a bit more serene about it all and trusting that it will happen at some point- just hard being patient! It’s hard feeling like I can’t talk to anyone irl about this really. TTC can be pretty lonely!

Billythecat · 04/01/2021 23:20

Oh and I am currently CD 6 with AF just over, so let the testing recommence! Smile

Sar1010 · 04/01/2021 23:38

Hey @Billythecat
Welcome, yeah it’s very lonely sometimes. This is my first cycle writing on a thread and definitely helping me and making me feel more connected and understood.

And hey @Tara1711 and @SadieSazzle my AF is due 18th too.

I’m doing SMEP this time round which is actually really enjoyable. My OH is in charge of DTD and I just do what I’m told... it takes the pressure off me a lot.

SuperTrooper21 · 05/01/2021 00:56

Hi Everyone! Room for another one on the 2021 TTC bus?
Was really inspired by the positivity on this thread, so mustered up the courage to join in. Recently started the TTC journey, m now 34 and DH 37 and we moved to UK a couple of years ago. Surprisingly no one in our circle of friends has any TTC experience or intentions so it’s been quite a lonely experience so far, really glad to find you lovely lot Smile

SeriousComedienne · 05/01/2021 01:16

Hi All. Hope it’s okay I jump in on this thread. Need some New Year TTC pals!

Been TTC for 18months now, DH & I are both 32.

I’ve had a tiny fibroid removed because we thought that was the issue, now GP is saying my prolactin is high!

Currently on CD 37!! I can sense AF will be here any minute, just want her to hurry up so we can start a new cycle!

FluffyLittleDragon · 05/01/2021 04:46

@Leo37 thank you for the information 🙂.

I'm hoping AF doesn't visit me because she used to visit on an irregular basis when I was on the implant. If she does visit then it'll be my first cycle.

It's comforting to read other people's experiences because I'm nervous as it's new to me. Ideally I'd love to have fallen pregnant by now even though it's early days. In the back of my mind the anxiety & stress creeps in, if I'm not pregnant 😬😕. My HPT kit is due to arrive this week & I've got resist until the end of the month to try to use it in case it's disappointing 😕😟🥺🤷🏽‍♀️.

It's interesting that some people who are TTC for the first time are keeping it quiet too. I've only told my mum & manager because my manager has been through her struggles & for me, it helps talking.

Does anyone have any tips on how to calm your mind & not to over think? 🤔.

JeanieJ · 05/01/2021 07:12

@MiniBaker - acupuncture sounds interesting! Let us know how it goes!

Oh the TWW is killing me this time ... I feel like I'm out, but I need to stay positive. AF is due on the 12th and I won't test because that's just torture for me 😩

We tend to stop for about 4/5 days after the window then it goes back to normal BD routine, but I think if it doesn't work out this cycle, we'll switch to every other day throughout the month rather than trying to do consecutive days in the window. I think I'll also get OH to get his swimmers checked.

At least lockdown will force him to wfh for our next opportunity (not that I'm happy bout lockdown).

My fertile window is always at the beginning to middle of the week when we're both exhausted from work. He's a teacher & always ends up getting home late those days too, so it makes it a bit hard to work up a mood 😉. upsides!

xx

MamaPheebz · 05/01/2021 07:19

@Emc16x
I did a cheapy test yesterday and that looked good. I’ve got some more first response arriving in the post today so can test again tomorrow. I’ll be 13dpo so hoping for a good line by then. I don’t know whether to call my doctor for support with my history. I don’t know if they would do anything extra though.

IndigoJam · 05/01/2021 07:47

Hi all, mind of i join? TTC after a miscarriage. This is my 2nd cycle trying. I have a 27 day cycle without fail. Last month I got peak on CB on cd11 this time im on cd13 with 5 days of flashing smile faces. How late do you think is too late to ovulate with a 27 day cycle? I used CB with my pregnancy last time and it worked but then I got peak on cd12.

They never took me in for a check up After MC cause it was bang in the middle of lockdown I guess im just worried there's something wrong in there.

Tara1711 · 05/01/2021 09:06

@SadieSazzle last month I tested and ended up being 7 days late, had a couple of faint positives so think I had a chemical. Trying to see it as a good thing rather than bad as it’s the closest I’ve been! I told myself I would remain calm this month but I’m already driving myself crazy!
