@Tabbycat92 how are you this morning ? 12 dpo can still be early to test. x

Tabbycat92 · 28/12/2020 12:17

@1992EM all good. Tested again this morning (17dpo and 2 days late) and still bfn, so I think AF is just late

1992EM · 28/12/2020 14:21

@Tabbycat92 sorry to hear that. Could you possibly have ovulated later than you thought? Your not out until AF shows. x

Hope everyone is doing ok and you all had a lovely Christmas.

I’ve decided I’m not going to use OPKs this month and just DTD every other day and just really try to chill out.

Did we do an intro to everyone on the last chat? It’d be nice to know a bit more about everyone and their journeys so far. Hopefully 2021 sees lots of BFPs ☺️

@Tabbycat92 like @1992EM said you’re not out until AF shows so keeping my fingers crossed for you x

1992EM · 28/12/2020 16:03

@LRW26 that sounds like a good plan. I am going to do a similar approach but still use opks.

That is a good idea to introduce ourselves . I am from Scotland and I am 28 years old . We have been ttc since May and on cycle 9. This will be our first baby. I was on the pill but came off it in August 2019 (before ttc). I usually have a 31 day cycle however this month was 28 days .

I’m 26 years old and from Lancashire. Me and my OH are currently on month 11 of TTC. I had an early miscarriage on month 6, which was heartbreaking.

I was on the pill for a good 10 years as my periods were unbearably painful but decided to come off it in September 2019. I’ve had some tests done in the past (ultrasound and MRI) as I thought I had endometriosis and I was basically just fobbed off and told to go back on the pill 🙄. I regret not following up on now because I am worried something may be wrong but going to wait until the 12 month mark before going to the doctors.

Me and OH have been married for 2 years and we would love nothing more than to start a family but I guess we both really never expected it to be this hard!

laura2093 · 28/12/2020 16:39

Thankyou!

Tabbycat92 · 28/12/2020 16:55

Intros are a good idea :)

I'm 28 (29 in a couple weeks 😢) and from Cornwall. Me an DH have been married for 3.5 years and have a 2.5 year old son. We are ttc baby no.2. I had my iud out in June and started ttc, took month out in November.
We would really love a little girl to complete our family, so we are trying to sway using the babydust method.

Lozza85 · 28/12/2020 19:32

Hi ladies, I'm 35 from London and on month 4 ttc our first, had an early mc on our first month which was awful so we took a couple months off. I'm 3dpo now and feeling a bit more optimistic this month, time will tell I guess. It's nice to have this support network!

apwilso · 28/12/2020 22:16

@1992EM no problem didn't realise it got full!

My intro!
I'm 25 from Manchester whose on cycle 3 of TTC. I believe the first cycle ended in a chemical but never properly confirmed. Currently on cycle day 22 not doing OPKS this month to have a break but usually have a cycle length of around 31 days. Currently predicted around 4 DPO with a few symptoms (of course my symptoms spotting!) this will be trying for my first child.

Been off the pill since Aug 2018 so I've been free from that for a while

DNpink82 · 28/12/2020 23:14

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

Just catching up on the chat, my intro I'm 38 (oldest on here I think 🙈) from Manchester, been married 6 1/2 year and on cycle 4 of ttc, ovulated yesterday so now on my tww. I kinda don't want to try for a few months now coz I don't want a winter baby, I also have horses and it'll be a logistical nightmare but I'm 38 and don't have time to waste

1992EM · 29/12/2020 01:05

Lovely to learn a bit more about everyone. Hopefully we will get some positives soon x

Hoping211 · 29/12/2020 01:33

Hi, I wasn't on the previous thread but hope it's okay to jump in! I'm 27, live in London, planning to start TTC our first in January with my partner of four years. Very new to all this, so far I've ordered folic acid and started lurking on here! With a new thread I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself! Hope everyone's had a good Christmas!

1992EM · 29/12/2020 01:45

@Hoping2021 good luck in your TTC journey. I would also take vitamin d or a conception vitamin (these tend to have all you need). x

OP posts:
Hoping211 · 29/12/2020 02:11

Hi @1992EM, thank you, good luck to you too! I actually dug out some vitamin D tablets earlier today that I knew I owned but hadn't been taking! Luckily still in date :)

1992EM · 29/12/2020 11:01

@Hoping211 oh that was lucky . x

apwilso · 29/12/2020 19:37

Feel like it was worse not testing because my mind is feeling like it's the longest cycle ever!!!

1992EM · 29/12/2020 19:50

@apwilso what cycle day are you? I would hold off testing as long as possible. If it is negative you will spend your time googling negatives that turn to positives. If positives you will spend the whole time worrying that it won't stick. The most reliable time is the day of AF or if it is late. Everyone is different but I used to test constantly . It was heartbreaking and actually worse than just waiting for AF to come. X

OP posts:
apwilso · 29/12/2020 20:27

@1992EM I know! I'm always waiting for a line but never comes. On cycle day 23 so still over a week left to wait. I'm too impatient!

Tabbycat92 · 29/12/2020 20:32

@1992EM I'm forever googling negatives turning into positives too... Especially at the moment with AF being 3 days late!

1992EM · 29/12/2020 20:37

@apwilso definitely hold off as you probably haven't implanted yet. 12dpo is the most reliable test. Good luck the tww is hard.

@Tabbycat92 I have everything crossed for you. Did you confirm ovulation with opks ? X

OP posts:
Tabbycat92 · 29/12/2020 20:41

@1992EM yeah used opks, had my peak and saw the levels fall again. Have been tracking for the last 6 months, and ovulation happened the exact day it was predicted to as it has for the last 3 months. AF usually arrives like clockwork as the app predicts too, but this time 3 days late.
I did feel like I was gonna come-on a couple days ago, but that feeling has now gone
So strange

1992EM · 29/12/2020 20:59

@Tabbycat92 fingers crossed that is a good sign. I have read some people don't get a positive until a week late. Might depend on if you go to the toilet in the middle of the night etc before testing x

OP posts:
laura2093 · 29/12/2020 22:10

Still no peak for me - I know it's only CD14 but I'm concerned 😟 we are now on cycle 9 of trying and it's getting harder every month xxx

LRW26 · 29/12/2020 23:20

@laura2093 I know everyone is different but I usually only get my peak at CD16/17 so try not to worry too much xx
