@jec1983
I am 37 and had mc in Aug and then again recently. Had some bloods done and 'moderately ' anaemic, been prescribed iron. I have felt dizzy and breathless recently so think its all connected. Scared to try again now 😔 xxx

jec1983 · 30/12/2020 00:36

@lillg Yes Christmas is a tough time to go through it. I had a quick look back through the thread and I saw you miscarried Christmas Eve at 20 weeks. That must have been heartbreaking I’m so so sorry you’ve had to go through that.

@PumpkinEverything I’ve never joined anything like this before but everyone seems so lovely and it will be nice to be able to talk to people going through something similar. I’m glad you’ve found comfort in the group.

@MgW1 sounds very similar to me. I never had any issues with iron until I got pregnant and have been taking iron supplements since. They don’t seem to absorb very well for me so I was advised to take them on an empty stomach either an hour before eating first thing in the morning or before bed at least two hours after eating. I’m in Sydney so advice/ supplements might be different to UK. I also haven’t had bloods since I’ve been following the doctors advice. I hope your iron kicks in soon and you start to feel better.

Louisa199 · 30/12/2020 02:10

@SophW194 Are you tracking BBT as well? or try PdG tests to confirm if you have ovulated.

bxiiboo · 30/12/2020 08:10

Hi ladies, I've been off here for a while! I MC in April at 11 weeks. Been TTC since then with no luck.
What supplements do you guys take? I'm due to ovulate tomorrow so any tips for the TWW would be appreciated. I really struggle swallowing big tablets which is really limiting my choices. I currently have Seaven seas, COQ10 and have bought Zita West DHA but struggling to swallow these.

Congrats to all those with BFP and sending love to everyone else x

MSG92 · 30/12/2020 08:10

Congrats @NatNoo96 that's a definite positive. Have you done another this morning? I wish I could reassure you but for me the anxiety hasn't got better... Saw a heartbeat at 7w5d I'm now 11w4d and anxiously waiting for 12w scan next Tuesday and I just don't feel pregnant any more... We shall see.

@jec1983 welcome, sorry you are here. Its a great thread if you want to just rant or are looking for advice.

I'm hoping we see some more BFP's soon, we had a run for a while.

@MgW1 I had protein in my urine at my 10w appt with the midwife, she said it could be a few things and they send it off anyway but I never heard anything back, I had vertigo the other day, and I'm always tired but that was before pregnancy as well 😂 I think I'll check when I'm at my 12w scan but I assume everything was OK as I didn't hear back that it wasn't. I also thought it could be my diet as I'm vegetarian.

NatNoo96 · 30/12/2020 08:35

Hi @MSG92, I will do another test this morning I ordered them on Amazon yesterday so just waiting for the tests to show up! Holding in the first wee of the day is proving difficult 😂 I think I would like an early scan like you had to try and reassure me but I know I’m going to worry regardless ! You’re so close to your 12 week scan now, there must be some excitement with the nerves !

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/12/2020 08:42

@jec1983 I'm borderline anaemic (also veggie) and take liquid supplement iron alongside vitamin C (which helps it absorb!). Also tastes much better in OJ haha.it seems to absorb loads better than the tablets as I dont get black poo now (TMI? Grin)

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/12/2020 08:43

@NatNoo96 just wee into a little tub! (I always go for a hummus pot). I always do this, after I flooded an expensive clear blue trying to hold it in a urine stream

MSG92 · 30/12/2020 08:50

@NatNoo96 go in a pot! Hold as long as you can but don't get uncomfortable like I did at my scan 😂 "By storing your HcG you should cover it over in a cup and place it in the fridge, when you want to use the test, take it out of the fridge and let it warm to room temperature before testing"

Who knows! My scan is 6 days away still. There was excitement, now just anxiety.

NatNoo96 · 30/12/2020 09:02

Thanks ladies! Will definitely take that advise! Tried tracking my parcel but no idea what time it’s arriving! Serves me right for only having 1 test left in the house 😂
@MSG92 I would say try not to worry but I know it’s impossible. My partners mum said the other day that we obviously have no control over it and if a baby wants to stick it will survive anything. She had also lost 2 when she was younger but now has 3 grown up kids so she gives me some hope !

SophW194 · 30/12/2020 09:29

@Louisa199 I’ve not tracked my BBT before so I guess it would be too late to start this cycle and I’m not sure what a pdg is (Blush) but I did an opk yesterday and it was definitely negative 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ It was just really strange how it was yellow..like snot really (sorry tmi !!) xx

SophW194 · 30/12/2020 09:33

Congratulations and good luck @MgW1 @MSG92 with your pregnancies ! It is totally understandable why you’d be anxious and that’s actually one of the first things my husband said when I started miscarrying last month that if we ever got pregnant again we’d be so nervous throughout 😢. I’m keeping everything crossed for you guys and you @NatNoo96 ! I’m blessed with two boys and they’ve been so amazing through all of this it would be lovely to be able to have some good news in the new year ! Xx

MgW1 · 30/12/2020 09:47

@MSG92 @SophW194
Sorry I think you tagged me by mistake , i have had mc recently and found out im anemic. Did yoi mean to tag me? Think maybe for someone else xxx

SophW194 · 30/12/2020 09:53

@MSG92 oh yes sorry not sure how I managed that !! So sorry ! 😢

MSG92 · 30/12/2020 10:07

@SophW194 that was @MgW1 asking if you tagged by mistake not me 😂😂

@MgW1 yes, I started to think along the lines that mine could have been anemia, but then I haven't heard anything so I'll assume not 🤷‍♀️

SophW194 · 30/12/2020 10:27

Omg I’m bloody useless today !! 😅😅 sorry guys !! I’m new to this since the MC I’ll blame that 🤣
Hope everyone’s doing as well as they can be and that we have some good news in the new year ! Xx

Mumof1ttc · 30/12/2020 11:33

Hi would i be able to join? I have a 5year old daughter, had the Contraceptive bar in my arm took it out it November found out I was pregnant on the 18th of December 5weeks and I misscarried on Christmas Day I had 3days of bleeding and I now have a negative pregnancy test me and partner would like to try again but conflicting advice weather to wait 3months or one cycle

smarty4 · 30/12/2020 11:57

First cycle post mc and it's negative. I think I knew it would be but still hurts.
I've gone down the rabbit hole of googling ovulation predictor kits. I see some of you use clear blue ovulation kits with the smiley face, would you recommend them? I understand you get the set (20 sticks and the digital tester) but need to replace the tester (and sticks)each month as the tester is only valid for 20 uses? Or I've seen the more expensive monitor where you can buy the refill sticks. Or would you preserve with just measuring your base temp and using cheapy ovulation sticks?

SophW194 · 30/12/2020 12:12

@smarty4 hiya, I have been using easy@home this month for the first time and they have been pretty good for me and it comes with the Premom app which I’ve found really helpful for tracking everything..they’re pretty cheap on Amazon xx

MSG92 · 30/12/2020 12:22

Hi @smarty4 I used the easy at home ones from amazon like @SophW194, so cheap and you download the app to monitor results. I guess it depends how long it's taking you to conceive? If you haven't been trying that long then I'd say the cheapies suffice.

smarty4 · 30/12/2020 12:25

Thanks @MSG92 and @SophW194. Trying 6 months before conceived then mc at 10 weeks. So starting again now. Just worried my cycle may be off and when I ovulate post mc

PumpkinEverything · 30/12/2020 12:39

I use the easy @ home ones @smarty4 and they helped me get pregnant before my miscarriage as my cycle isn’t regular 😊 cheap on Amazon and they worked for me so will be using them again!

@Mumof1ttc a lot of people on here have been given different advice by doctors. I was told to be careful if I didn’t want to get pregnant again but they didn’t say not to

NatNoo96 · 30/12/2020 12:50

I have tested again today and it’s happening! So nervous to get passed 5 weeks after last time but I can only hope and think positive !
Just wanted to thank you all. I know I haven’t posted an awful lot but I try to keep up reading the posts. You all made me feel more normal at the darkest of times 💕
