Thank you ! I’ve Been for scan and nothing to be seen, was advised I probably wouldn’t get my period for a while either as my womb lining is still quite thin! I am a bit disappointed but at least I know where I am at now, complete miscarriage naturally so that’s a good thing I guess xx

jec1983 · 13/01/2021 11:04

@NatNoo96 so glad everything went well for you and keeping my fingers crossed all goes well for you. I totally agree miscarriage makes you overthink everything!

jec1983 · 13/01/2021 11:07

@Hopefulmummie congratulations! I hope everything goes well for you.

RS2609 · 13/01/2021 11:15

@Hopefulmummie great news, congratulations Smile

bez91 · 13/01/2021 11:55

@Hopefulmummie @NatNoo96 fantastic news for you both congratulations, you can both breath a sigh of relief!

Start of the TWW for me today so I'm throwing myself into work and decorating in my free time 🙈

NatJ24 · 13/01/2021 12:18

@Hopefulmummie thats good to know isnt it. If the line is much darker too then definitely settles it for you. Congratulations 😄

NatJ24 · 13/01/2021 12:24

@Mammaofgirls atleast you can know the miscarriage is complete and move forward. Hopefully your period will come sooner rather than later for you so you can settle back in to a routine with it. Thats exactly where I am up to at the minute just waiting for it. Did the hospital say anything about you still getting positive pregnancy tests 4 weeks later or did they think that was just normal? Did they tell you to keep testing for a negative?

Mammaofgirls · 13/01/2021 12:40

She said to stop taking pregnancy tests and said it can be normal to still get positives ; she said I won’t get my period until the positive tests stop , and said my womb lining was thin so period still a few weeks away! Worried now I can’t conceive again after googling Confused
How far after your miscarriage are you now? I’m 4 weeks exactly today! X

NatNoo96 · 13/01/2021 13:00

Congratulations @Hopefulmummie ! That sounds like great news!

@bez91 best of luck in the TTW, hope it goes nice and quickly for you!

@Mammaofgirls I have a habit of googling everything too but it normally makes me feel worse!

ELMcg · 13/01/2021 13:04

@Mammaofgirls @NatJ24 I'm exactly 4 weeks post D&c today and nearly 5 weeks since first signs of miscarriage so hoping my period is on its way at some point in the next week or two given the BFN test.

I think this part is definitely the most difficult for me. I'm so desperate to get my period so I feel back to normal again! I've heard it can take some time though.

I feel like this part of the process is strange as for my husband he's like 'what's the stress, wait for your period and then we can try again' but I'm so keen for it to arrive. I feel like my hormones are sending me a bit funny!

It's such a worrying time after a miscarriage I feel, keep your head up @mammaofgirls

Mammaofgirls · 13/01/2021 13:18

I feel exactly like this, you hear of ladies that conceived a week later and I guess I was hoping that would be me !
It defo is the worst part , your in limbo and hard to move on !
We will get there , hopefully our periods arrive soon as we can get back to feeling ourselves ! Xx

Mammaofgirls · 13/01/2021 13:22

I’m tracking ovulation though, I had solid smileys about a week after miscarriage for about a week - 10 days but my pregnancy tests were still very strong so assuming it was picking up that, then stopped for a few days .... last few days I’ve had the flashing smiley and this morning had solid smiley, I’ve had a lot of CM , twinges and abit of achey back at times, I’ve never really noticed ovulation symptoms before but then again because my womb lining is only 4.5mm I find it hard to believe I am actually ovulating ! Maybe my hormones are crazy still and it’s trying to settle down ! I’ve turned into a crazy obsessive person over it all ! X

MrsF111 · 13/01/2021 13:33

Congratulations @Hopefulmummie!!

I'm mid 2 week wait now,, not really got any symptoms, my original due date is on Friday, crazy and very sad to think i could have had a baby now. Feeling strangely optimistic though - fingers crossed for this month

PumpkinEverything · 13/01/2021 13:44

Can someone maybe offer advice as I don’t feel like I can get a clear answer? Just trying to figure out what to expect 🤦‍♀️
So... surgical management was 5 weeks ago, have had some on and off light bleeding/spotting the last week, but only got my ‘almost negative’ test this week. So either that bleeding last week (that seems to have tailed off today) was my period, which they had said should arrive 4-6 weeks after surgery. And I’m now starting fresh and can do my OPKs.

Or... if it was just random bleeding, does that mean I should be due to ovulate sometime soon if I’m getting/about to get a negative test?

Sorry if this makes absolutely no sense, my brain is not working well today 😂🙈

Mammaofgirls · 13/01/2021 14:10

I wish I can shed some light but I’m in a similar situation to you. Natural MC 4 weeks ago, had scan today everything is clear but my lining of womb is thin so nowhere near my period the sonographer said, but like you started taking OPK last few days and had flashing face then today solid smiley, had sore boobs, lots of CM which is abit browning but more clear last few day’s, belly twinges and back ache ? Never had ovulation symptoms before , I’m still getting positive pregnancy tests but they are quite faint now ! Wish I could help you ! X

PumpkinEverything · 13/01/2021 14:47

That sounds so confusing @Mammaofgirls I’ve had some skin break outs and cramps last week for 2/3 days, and felt a bit moody last week, so it’s all really hard to figure out 🤦‍♀️

NatJ24 · 13/01/2021 16:54

@Mammaofgirls ah well that's good that she's said to stop taking the pregnancy tests now and that it's normal to still get them postive. It makes sense if shes checked everything and its all complete that you'd stop them now. I had medical management for a MMC and that will be 4 weeks on Saturday. I have tried to do some ovulation tests and it showed as peak on Saturday but like you I don't know how far to trust them at this stage with hormones still being all over the place from the MC so best bet would be for me to have a period and then hopefully be able to track ovulation.
@ELMcg I totally agree with you that is the main thing now, having the first period following MC and getting back in to some sort of cycle with it! Its hard waiting because its all you think about then

NatJ24 · 13/01/2021 16:58

@PumpkinEverything its hard to know isnt it! There are so many questions after miscarriage and then because every woman is so different there's just no clear answer to it. I read somewhere that period after miscarriage can be so different as in it can be super heavy but also the opposite and super light so you could well have had your period. Because your pregnancy test is now showing basically negative you could maybe just track for ovulation anyway and hopefully it should be more accurate now that test is negative?

PumpkinEverything · 13/01/2021 17:07

I hope so @NatJ24 I’ve read loads online too and it’s so unclear what can happen. I just wish if it was my period it would make up its mind and stop being this weird light thing that lasts over a week, or just stop. I’ve been doing ovulation tests too and got a 0.8 on Monday, which has been the highest I’ve got in the last two weeks, but still not really a peak, and I hadn’t tested the two days before I got that due to bleeding as I was like no, it’s my period so don’t test. Now I wish I had to see if my peak had been during that, or if the 0.8 was just some random surge. Like you I had a peak (mine was two weeks after surgery) and didn’t know whether it was accurate or just my hormones playing with me!

M4v3r1ck · 13/01/2021 18:37

@ELMcg @jec1983 yup, it's hard to keep track! 😂 I feel your and everyone else's pain, so many of us just wanting the witch to arrive! I believe my bleeding/spotting has officially stopped, but it's been replaced by increased discharge which kinda varies in colour?! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I've started OPKs again and that's increasing, but I'm also feeling like AF is coming! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

@PumpkinEverything it just feels like our bodies are out to trick us and keep us guessing! It could be that our first AF and cycle post-MC is messy! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ And as @NatJ24 there doesn't seem to be clear answers either?!

@NatNoo96 great news! Hope all goes well for you! 😘

@Mammaofgirls glad you got some closure and answers! Agree with others re: Google - it always stresses me out too! 😳

ELMcg · 13/01/2021 19:55

You could literally put my name in front of some of these symptoms! 🤷‍♀️ Been lucky enough never to have spots in adult life, now my face is breaking out all over the shop. Weird CM compared to normal, twinges in my tummy and my back, headaches! I could go on and on so @PumpkinEverything @M4v3r1ck I feel your pain!

Mammaofgirls · 13/01/2021 20:39

Congratulations to you ! Xx

PumpkinEverything · 13/01/2021 21:55

It’s so annoying isn’t it @M4v3r1ck @ELMcg remind me where you’re both at at the moment? I think lockdown is making time go so much slower too

NatJ24 · 13/01/2021 22:17

@ELMcg I have every one of them symptoms you've just said! The twinges and everything. Sometimes start to worry so it helps when I hear others are the same, makes me worry less

TheDaydreamBelievers · 14/01/2021 08:47

Blazing positive OPK baby! So hopefully the hospital today say no issues, go for it
