@HappyVibes congratulations, lovely lady!

PumpkinEverything · 04/01/2021 20:46

Thanks @susiebluebell 😊 time seems to go so slowly when waiting! I just hope either way it means I’m getting my negative test soon 🤞🏻

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/01/2021 20:49

@PumpkinEverything I really hope this is AF! If it is, I imagine this AF will definitely mean a BFN after

bez91 · 04/01/2021 21:39

@PumpkinEverything really hope it's AF for you 🤞🏼

Hopefulmummie · 04/01/2021 22:28

Hey.. does anyone know post miscarriage if you have confirmed ovulation should you AF arrive the normal 2 weeks after if you've ovulated or can it still arrive later?

susiebluebell · 04/01/2021 22:46

Aaah @familybythesea how did I miss your bfp!? Congratulations my fellow Cornish pisky! 😁 ☀ You may not be optimistic yet but I am, on your behalf!

susiebluebell · 04/01/2021 22:49

@Hopefulmummie It can vary I think, but biologically ovulation should precede AF by roughly two weeks - there's only so long an egg can hang around 😊 I think it would usually be the first half of the cycle which would be extended. Others may have more knowledge? Xx

MSG92 · 04/01/2021 22:54

Evening ladies. Hope you are doing well. @HappyVibes what fabulous news!!! Hope to see a slightly darker test on Wednesday 🤞

@familybythesea and @susiebluebell didn't realise you were in Cornwall! I'm over the border in Devon

I have my scan tomorrow!!!! I am so nervous. I just pray that everything is going well, our parents know now, no one else just them but we had yet another family member die just before Christmas (first was end of November) so we felt like people needed some good news, the grandparents have already started shopping 🤦‍♀️

I have my fingers crossed for you all TTC, and if you can all keep yours crossed for me tomorrow at 11.15 that my bean is alive and well it would be greatly appreciated ❤️

NatJ24 · 04/01/2021 23:21

Ah @susiebluebell sorry for your loss in July its horrible isnt it. Hopefully you get your BFP soon. I hope 2021 is the year for us all!

@msg92 fingers crossed and good luck for you for tomorrow!

HereWeGoooo · 04/01/2021 23:23

I got pregnant first time without really trying but miscarried at 7 weeks in Oct 20. I remember I got tender nipples shortly after ovulation. We've now tried again over Xmas following my first period. Actually had more sex this time and just waiting to test this weekend coming. Thing is I have absolutely no tenderness in my boobs, which is making me think I can't possibly be pregnant. Is it possible to have absense of the previous most obvious symptom from first pregnancy, second time around?
The only thing this time is ovary twinges but feel like my brain is stimulating these with my hope!
Also I have a regular 32 cycle and got positive OPK on day 18. Should I be having sex day 18,19 and 20 after positive OPK (as well as lead up to this?)
It's more difficult when consciously trying to get pregnant!!

Louisa199 · 05/01/2021 03:22

@PumpkinEverything You make the point. I use premom app for over a year, it works pretty well when you have regular cycles. Miscarriage could really mess up with your cycle and the prediction, not try to blame the app, just want to say I always go with the OPKs result, and take the prediction in the app as a general guide.

jec1983 · 05/01/2021 06:20

@PumpkinEverything I’ve logged my miscarriage as miscarriage bleeding but also as a period so I can track what cycle day I’m on. Logging it as miscarriage bleeding didn’t seem to do anything. I’m sorry you are still seeing faint positives I hope you get your negative soon.

jec1983 · 05/01/2021 06:24

@Mustkeepgoing2 totally understand what you mean about wishing your life away. How old is your toddler? If you have any tips on how to chill out please send them my way 🤣

jec1983 · 05/01/2021 06:26

@MSG92 fingers crossed for your scan today. Please update us when you feel ready!

RS2609 · 05/01/2021 06:29

@MSG92 wishing you all the luck in the world today for your scan xx

HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 06:58

@RichmondLady1981 @susiebluebell @Wishingfornumber2 @Hanbanxx

Thank you ladies. I’ve been here before a few times now, fingers crossed the meds do their job and we have a sticky lil bean and a strong body. I took the meds straight away, so I’ll retest tomorrow eek. 💓🤞🏽💫

HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 06:59

@MSG92 thank you lovely.

How far are you now? Is your scan a private or NHS one lovely? I totally get your feelings re the scan. I have lots of confidence and optimism for your beautiful and magical little strong baba 💫

HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 07:04

@HereWeGoooo symptoms can completely vary lovely. Symptoms in early pregnancy are actually really really rare, so it’s completely common to be pregnant and have no symptoms at all - so don’t write the cycle off just because you don’t have tender boobs etc, there’s still every possibility you could be until AF arrives.

Your twinges may have been ovulation, or implantation depending where they were in your cycle.

Re: the OPK it sounds like you have it down to a few - that’s absolutely it. Your peak basically indicates that in the next 24 hours you will ovulate - therefore DTD that day of peak, and the day after makes sure you catch the window of ovulation & then the day after that is also slightly fertile as I think it’s 12hours after ovulation you’re still potentially fertile.

Fingers crossed for you lovely
Xxxxx

RS2609 · 05/01/2021 07:11

@HereWeGoooo I’m not speaking from experience as I’ve only had the one pregnancy but from what I’ve been told by friends every pregnancy is different and symptoms can vary hugely so I’d try not to read too much into it. Some women get no symptoms at all!

SS123456 · 05/01/2021 07:15

Has anyone miscarried while on progesterone pessaries? Does it mask the miscarriage/bleeding?

I know in my heart that I've miscarried this baby at 6 weeks but I think the progesterone is carrying things on

My OHs son came to us Christmas day and unknown to us was pending a covid test result (his mum failed to tell us) so I caught covid from him. By the 29th Dec my heart rate had spiked and I was ill. Fast forward 6 days to today and my resting heart rate has plummeted almost 20bpm to my almost pre-pregnant rate and I just know it's all over 😔. I'm so so angry

HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 07:38

@SS123456 I don’t think there’s any correlation between covid and MC lovely. Two of my friends have had it whilst pregnant recently and been absolutely fine and the midwives were lovely with them but genuinely not overly worried at all. They’ve both been fine and recovered well so I wouldn’t worry re it being covid related lovely.

Perhaps book in a reassurance private scan for yourself? I’ve never read into RHRs etc so unsure how reliable that is as a source to indicate MC lovely.

Sending you lots of love as I know it’s a huge huge worry when you’ve been through MC, so understandably we do think the worst in a lot of occasions. I think a scan would give you peace of mind lovely as, as yet I don’t think anything you’ve noted is indicative of definitive MC so really wouldn’t want you to worry without seeking the reassurance 💓💓💓

elsimo · 05/01/2021 07:49

Morning all!

Just catching up and reading thru, congrats to bfp's, good luck to those with scans and big hugs to those who are worried ❤️

So this is my first proper cycle after miscarriage and looks like i'm ovulating early (first time using premom so not 100%). I have such bad ovulation pain tho, actually sore to walk and sit down so hoping thats a good sign 🤞🏻🤞🏻

TTC after MC - Dec/Jan 2020 (Thread 16)
HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 07:59

Oh they’re looking good @elsimo Premom is really good and will prompt you to keep testing until you get a High...it detects a high when it’s over 1, so hopefully not far away....although if you’re feeling ov pain now, I’m not 100% sure ha. I saddisticly love feeling my ov pain as it gives me reassurance I know my body etc. You know what to do girlllll 💓💓💓

SS123456 · 05/01/2021 08:13

Thank you @HappyVibes I really appreciate the advice ❤️

I was meant to be having a 7 week scan this week but had to cancel as I can't go with covid. Once I am out of isolation I will speak to the EPU but I've had a few twinges on one side this morning so I'm not overly optimistic 😔

HappyVibes · 05/01/2021 08:19

@SS123456 keep your chin up lovely & get yourself rested. It’s a tough one and it can’t be easy. That sounds like a good idea once you’re out of isolation. I really don’t think there’s a correlation though with covid as unless you have certain complications, pregnant women aren’t being told to shield or in the clinically extremely vulnerable. Sending you lots of love xxx
