TTC BUS 26 - Stifling chilli foofs with paprika pants & telling Flo 🧙🏻‍♀️she ain’t in our support bubble

Minster2012 · 20/12/2020 09:11

Flo app telling you AF is due?? Femometer telling you ovulation was a different day? Is that line a high /low/peak or a pube on your OPK?
When TTC feels like a proper TWATFACE, we’ve got each other’s backs. We’ve had trolling TTC charts, f**k boy bodies and a few of us are giving up and handing our bodies to the fertility doctors instead. Maybe they can do a better job eh?

We are TTC in often weird and wonderful ways and that’s the way we like it...long as we are there for each other, be it DTD, SMEP, syringe, IVF we don’t care 🥰

Don’t forget...
⁃ BORIS CAN’T PENETRATE OUR SUPPORT BUBBLE (urgh there’s a nasty image)
⁃ Pets, toys & accessories invited too, Rampant Rabbits 🐰, Fleshlights & dice
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION
⁃ We are all about the support

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs
Nov 7 BFPs

10 BFPs in Dec so far ....
Another sneaky @laceymermaid in at the end!

still time for Christmas BFPs and for @Minster2012 to get thrown off Mumsnet 🤪

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks hun, how are you doing?

JustMouse · 21/12/2020 20:01

@amy2503 - We started trying in January, it's taken 11 months. Being honest, I was about to call it quits and stop. But i'm 7 weeks tomorrow. So don't give up just yet.

@Minster2012 - Oooo, what a pretty bottle.

How is everyone getting on with Christmas plans and changes that have had to be made?
I've got the last few handmade presents to finish over the next 2 days and then i'm done. Although not sure how much i'll get done tomorrow, with my new upgrade arriving - just a little excited!

Franklydear · 21/12/2020 20:03

@notyetamumbuttrying unfortunately it definitely is, good thing is the loss hasn't mess up my cycles, and ovulation seems to have been when I thought, every silver lining

notyetamumbuttrying · 21/12/2020 20:03

@Florence13 I'm ok thanks. Bit panicky as my friend is having a Covid test tomorrow and I was with her on Saturday 😬 how are you? X

notyetamumbuttrying · 21/12/2020 20:05

@Franklydear yes, good to see the silver lining!
@JustMouse is it a phone upgrade? That is exciting! And only 5 weeks until your scan, that's exciting too!

amy2503 · 21/12/2020 20:19

@JustMouse that gives me hope. I'll be 11 months next cycle. Thank you and so happy for you. x

Clairey844 · 21/12/2020 20:24

@amy2503 sorry I'm only just replying but yes as @Minster2012 said I was 18m ttc with one loss in the middle and I am now pregnant so it does eventually happen lol. I remember getting to points (a lot) where I genuinely thought it wasn't going to happen and being so down about it, especially seeing others around me announcing pregnancies left right and centre but eventually my month just came. I know it's probably easy for me to say now but I sometimes think I tried too hard at times and that's not me-I'm quite a laid back go with the flow person normally but ttc really got me obsessing and stressing. I didn't/couldn't actually switch off completely and stop but I did try to ease up a bit and trust my body to give me signs I was ovulating rather than sticks and to have sex when I was horny rather than because I had a smily face on a stick 😂😂. I totally know how you're feeling and send lots of love x

Sorry to read about the CP @DJmum83, glad at least the worst of the physical side has passed but sending hugs for the emotional side-life is a bitch.

Sorry to hear about AF @Franklydear suppose the positives are alcohol over xmas but such a shame as it would have been so nice for you after all the shit you went through recently.

@Minster2012 yes! I went to my surgery today, got the form and filled it in straight away and gave it in. The form said you will be seen between 8 and 10 weeks although with xmas not sure when I'll hear but at least I've been brave and done it. Convinced it will jinx it (hence holding off) so back to constant knicker watch 😂😂

You walking like John Wayne after your shagathon yesterday? 😂😂

Also mega jealous of your meat gifts; when we lived/worked on a farm in NZ they had a freezer with insane amounts of lamb and duck, and every so often his mate would say wanna go halves on a lamb and more would arrive 😂

Welcome @Starsong82

Sorry I'm late to the party tonight, had a lovely but wet walk at the deer park near us today and Santa was there bombing along in a golf buggy-my little girl was so excited and we told her he was probably there choosing which reindeer to use for his sleigh 😂😂 Had maccas for lunch and we're having kebabs in naan from the local chippy (amazeballs) so I'm in a good, but fat, place right now!

Bit gutted my Christmas plans have all gone out the window as most of my family are in Tier 4 but we're going to zoom throughout the day so should be ok.

Sorry if I've missed any big news xxx

JustMouse · 21/12/2020 20:44

@notyetamumbuttrying - Sorry, yes a phone upgrade. I dropped mine at the end of September and screen stopped working. So have been using an old handset. So can't wait for a new one.
I have booked an early scan for next Tuesday, when i'll be 8 weeks. Then midwife on the 9th Jan and 12 week scan on the 28th. Just keeping all fingers and toes crossed and taking it each week at time.

@amy2503 - I had the biggest meltdown when AF showed up in October. Got myself into a real state over it. Which i'm sure it's something we all do. Trying to relax over it, is the hardest thing.

@Clairey844 - I phoned to chase my appointment, as I was trying to avoid work knowing. The lady I spoke with said they was really busy.

amy2503 · 21/12/2020 20:47

@Clairey844 @JustMouse thanks ladies it really means a lot. Feeling sad and know I'll have a big cry when it does arrive x

DJmum83 · 21/12/2020 20:48

Evening everybody

Thank you so much you lovely lovely people for all the well wishes I'm ok now thankfully really did think I was going to have to go to A+E at one point.
On to the next cycle I'm a bit scared because I don't know if I could go through that again.
Due to ovulate New Year's Eve or day unless my cycle is a bit messed up after it, so we will see what happens.

@Juno231 cd 5 here so we are in this together again, even treated myself to a new BBT thermometer with a backlight fed up of squinting to see the numbers.
Let's keep each other company and fingers crossed for January.

Glad to hear your mother in law is doing ok and sorry about AF @Franklydear

@Minster2012 can I have some of that toilet roll 😂 idiots here are stockpiling and we can't get any today.
How are you doing?
Nookie twice in 1 day can you remind me what that is like 😂 you make me smile, you and your DH sound like such a loving couple.

@notyetamumbuttrying how are you doing? Xx

Congratulations to the BFP,s December is a lucky bus.

Welcome to any newbies.

I am organised for Santa have wrapped everything.
Food shop tomorrow well that's if there is anything left.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Xmas xxx

Vil10 · 21/12/2020 20:51

@Minster2012 I feel it now!! Was it your hair or nails today?? Also how cute of your ds "mummy putting eyes on" 😂

@notyetamumbuttrying are you excited for starting ivf??

@Florence13 I feel like a new woman now!!

@lucyrp I literally thought the same about mine but just gone to this new girl and she was unreal!!

@Katao sorry for bfn!

@Franklydear noo so sorry for af, I was convinced it was your month!!

So my friend who has been TTC for a month longer than me has just text saying she's had brown discharge all day today and she's 8dpo, I don't think I've ever typed "omg this could be implantation bleeding" so fast in my life😂

lucyrp · 21/12/2020 20:53

@Clairey844 I'm totally convinced I've jinxed it now too as the nurse from the hospital where I was going for my fertility appointment rang today to check everything was okay for my appointment and to explain how to do it via the link etc as it was online and I was like I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to cancel because I'm pregnant and she was so lovely about it. I said I was sorry I hadn't rang sooner but was scared I'd jinx it so she said don't worry we won't il put a really fine line through your appointment and if you ever need us you can self refer through your gp again and she said congratulations. She was so nice I almost felt bad cancelling ! 😩xxx

Juno231 · 21/12/2020 20:54

@Clairey844 hahaha I did not expect to see a John Wayne reference by someone under the age of 60! Loved the big update though and jealous of your food intake today!

@Minster2012 @katao @notyetamumbuttrying thank you ❤️

Minster2012 · 21/12/2020 20:54

@JustMouse oooo new phone that is exciting!

@Clairey844 yay! You did it your day sounds so bloody good. Not jealous at all. Yup totally. Was a walking jizz fest today 😂! Let's see what tonight brings....it is a Monday after all 😱

I'm sorry @Franklydear was sooooo hoping

There's still time for the Xmas BFPs

Minster2012 · 21/12/2020 20:56

OP posts:
lucyrp · 21/12/2020 21:06

@Minster2012 rude @Vil10 is the same age too 😉😉 and I'm offended you didn't ask for my nail pics the other day 🖐🏼

AHobbyaweek · 21/12/2020 21:09

@Franklydear why do our bodies mess us about so much?

@Starsong82 welcome.

@Minster2012 you have been busy today!

Christmas food shopping done. Socks very close to done and cat high on catnip!
We got caught by DD this morning and had to send her downstairs so we could finish! LH stick positive today too so needed that sticky end. Grin

@Luna57 hope you get to keep it a secret! Congratulations.

@Juno231 you deserve it and hopefully you get to that point if thinking that too.

JustMouse · 21/12/2020 21:22

@lucyrp - I've been really impressed with them. Scan appointment came with my booking in appointment. I called today, as the time was bang smack in the middle of the day, which is a nightmare with working in a school and the lady I spoke with couldn't of bent over backwards more to change the time. So now booked in for 8am, much better time. Will just have to hang around after for blood at 9am.

Minster2012 · 21/12/2020 21:30

@lucyrp I didn't realise you had your nails done?! Obligatory nail pic then please! And @Vil10 also now googling why john Wayne walks like he's spewing jizz! 😂

@AHobbyaweek caught by DD!! Ha ha love it! Did she go downstairs?! Actual downstairs I mean, not figurative, that's just weird. You got a happy ending I guess! I want a picture of cat high on catnip too!

@JustMouse that's really good of them

OP posts:
DKDK123 · 21/12/2020 21:43

@Juno231 don't ever think that your journey is not as important as others, if the doctor didn't think you were entitled to be referred earlier they wouldn't have done it.

@notyetamumbuttrying still waiting for SA appointment. Hubby tried to book his way before me but got a letter back saying due to the covid backlog they couldn't meet the 12 week appointment target and would be in touch in due course. 🙄 I'm hoping if they can't find anything wrong at my appointments maybe they can push his thru a bit quicker.
