Well ladies....buckle up cos this bus is often more like a 🏎🤣

We are TTC in often weird and wonderful ways and that’s the way we like it...long as we are there for each other, which some of us have been for longer than we care to remember 😜. So whether your glass of half empty, half full, a pint glass, a shot glass (a tic tac container?), a mug of tea, this is where we come to refill it...🥰 Mumsnet is our happy place 🥰

Don’t forget...
⁃ No judgement
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😊
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ mandatory picture of your 🎄tree /Xmas decorations / Xmas jumper or similar
⁃ Ditto Wreath - extra points awarded if wreath is homemade 🥰
⁃ We may stray away from TTC a fair bit
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs
Nov 7 BFPs

7 BFPs in Dec so far ....
Sneaky @lucyrp getting in there at the end 😍

How many more 🤔
Can we birth the messiah???
Or will we get thrown off Mumsnet??

@Luna57 no i usually have cramps a couple days before ov then the day then they stop! Exciting!! When's af due for you? How long were you on the pill for?x

@Juno231 you definitely still have time!!

kalidasa · 17/12/2020 11:42

@Minster2012 haha no definitely no chateaux involved -- we're going to live in my MiL's flat in the middle of Paris (and she'll move out to somewhere smaller while we're there). It's going to be quite an upheaval for the children so we thought better to stay somewhere they are already familiar with but we still have to work out about the schools etc.

@Luna57 if it's your first cycle off hormonal contraception I agree with @Minster2012 that it's probably just your ovaries getting used to ovulating again! I suppose it could be a cyst on your ovary maybe? They are really common and mostly they go away on their own. But if it stays really painful you should get it checked out.

Florence13 · 17/12/2020 11:51

@Minster2012 no you have definitely not mentioned how lovely it is there 😂 I mean I think my dogs would love the sound of all that.

@Franklydear cannot wait to hear your review of Love Actually.

I’m currently trying to write my MSc dissertation, has anyone else done an MSc? And if so did you ever feel like it was never ending 🙈

kalidasa · 17/12/2020 12:08

@Florence13 I'm on the humanities side so not an MSc but have written quite a few dissertations in my time and supervising other people writing them is quite a big part of my job. How long does yours have to be? and how much longer have you got? I think everyone has a point during a dissertation when it feels like they'll never get to the end.

I've got so much work to do today but DS2, who's 5, was up half the night after some particularly awful nightmare (from watching "Merlin" Grin). He does have nightmares a lot but usually he goes back to sleep quickly but he just couldn't settle down again last night, so am totally zonked and have to keep going all the way through until a 5-6.30 meeting. Ugh.

Florence13 · 17/12/2020 12:10

@kalidasa it has to be 15,000 words and is due in at the beginning of February. I’m currently analysing my data to write my findings chapter. Have written and had feedback on my first few chapter so probably just over halfway through.

Katao · 17/12/2020 12:13

@Florence13 oh the stress! When is your submission date?

Katao · 17/12/2020 12:26

@Minster2012 OH is of course he'll be asked to provide a sample on the spot 😂

Florence13 · 17/12/2020 12:27

@Katao beginning of February so kind of accepted Christmas is a bit of a write off this year haha.

Minster2012 · 17/12/2020 12:37

@Franklydear your homework is to watch it. Won't take no for an answeR

@kalidasa it still sounds lovely though. You can waft around

@Juno231 def too early. Be told.

@Florence13 ah if I've not mentioned it. It's lovely. 🥰 and urgh for dissertation so glad I left that all behind in my youth! Halfway through though is really good, keep going

@Katao my OH got told when he was going to provide a sample and that was the most stressful time!

@Vil10 I’m assuming I’ll be due AF Christmas Eve which will be cd 41 but this is my second month off the pill so it’s a guessing game really 🤷🏼‍♀️ 2 years on the pill then 2 years on depo injections and then straight back to the pill for 4 years.

@kalidasa thank you yeah I think it’s my hormones probably gearing up for the biggest AF just in time for Christmas good job I went out and bought 6 bottles of Prosecco to drown my pain haha

Vil10 · 17/12/2020 13:10

@Luna57 it's good that you've already had a period and you're in some kind of pattern, mine were all over the place for the first few months!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/12/2020 13:34

Thanks @Florence13! Hoping for a Christmas miracle and they offer asking
@DJmum83 sorry to hear this, hope it's not what you think and a bleed doesn't come!
@Katao you need a scan too. I wasn't referred until I had my scan and Dh had his SA. Not actually had my referral appointment yet. It's in feb and it's to get my amh tested, Dh to get a repeat SA and for us to sign funding paperwork for ivf. I'm surprised you've been referred without a scan and SA tbh, so I would imagine they'll do both then perhaps?!

The face disappeared! I left one of these after my comment Grin@Florence13 as I know it's bloody unlikely!!

BlondePotter · 17/12/2020 14:07

@Luna57 my cycles never really regulated after I came off the pill last year (had been on for 4 years). Cycle started off very long - 50 days I think then slowly got shorter, one random missed one and then just went irregular from 33-48 days.
And for some reason when you're on the pill you're paranoid that if you forget to take it one day you'll end up pregnant 🤣

Minster2012 · 17/12/2020 14:17

@Luna57 🥂whoop for the Prosecco! If you are now regular that's great! I've just bought 6 bottles of co-op champagne (for anyone that wants champagne) it's better than "label" champagne most ppl I know prefer it, including millionaire snobs who drink champers for breakfast (genuinely not making that up). Unfortunately just given 3 to MIL as it's what they wanted for Xmas 😂

CSR bullshit for city council contract done for the next 3 months. Whoop.

@Minster2012 Stone the flamin' crows, just came to AIBU for a Captain Cook but I reckon OP has a kangaroo loose in the top paddock, or is perhaps a few stubbies short of a six pack, and needs to hit the frog and toad. Blimey, what an absolute ripsnorter of a furphy, though I s'pose it's better than a ham sandwich.
Put a sock in it and get onya bike, ya drongo.

BRILLIANT

I genuinely hope this is how you actually speak on a daily basis 😂😂

@Skip86 hahaha Drongo never fails to make me laugh 🤣

kalidasa · 17/12/2020 15:01

@Florence13 sounds that you are well on track with the dissertation then!

2020mission · 17/12/2020 15:24

@Minster2012 how much is the co-op champagne? My go to is usually the ALDI champagne that's around £11 as I can't taste the difference between that and the more expensive brands like Mumm and Perrier Jouet.

I really feel like my body is messed up lately. I woke up at 3am with my strong AF cramps that I get on day 1-2 of AF that I need co-codamol to get through but I wasn't even bleeding yet. I don't think I've ever had such bad cramps without a drop in sight before 😐 it has kicked in fully now though. The thought of Christmas champagne is all that's keeping me going now 😂

2020mission · 17/12/2020 15:28

Also, whoever suggested these tablets (@lucyrp I think?) I've just got them delivered to start next cycle and I'm expecting them to be the one missing puzzle piece that gets the result 😂

lucyrp · 17/12/2020 15:34

@2020mission it was me ! I know 2 people who have got pregnant in the first month using them. Me included 😂 fingers crossed !

2alreadywantanother · 17/12/2020 15:44

Ah I hope it is @2020mission I'm taking proceive. Expensive but anyone I know at fertility clinics were all recommended to be on them

2020mission · 17/12/2020 15:47

@lucyrp haha always grateful for something to try 🤞 I've only ever been taking Vitamin D and folic acid and this definitely has more so can't hurt. Hope your first few weeks of pregnancy are going well? 😃
