@mintgreenlife nope, I just got them from Amazon. I have used them for years as they helped me identify my kidney atrophy (kidney function low, producing excess protein and shrinking confirmed by a scan) and rule out things like diabetes. Quite a handy test to have.

@Kay00 ooh that's a really good idea to have those sticks around! I completely forgot you could even buy them. Might treat myself haha 😂

@MintGreenLife ah brill, I'm glad you have a support group too ❤️ and that you've got a urine test coming up anyway! I'm basically counting down the hours until my scan next week 😂🤪

@Robyn101 sounds like we’re literally in exactly the same position. I’m sure AF will turn up soon, like you say it’s probably just our hormones trying to balance themselves out! Did you have regular periods before the pill? I’ve attached my OPKs here - lots of surges but no peaks! I never thought I’d long for a period as much as I do now haha!

@Nellieee I think I’m going to leave the Angus castus for now to be honest, mucking with my hormones now probably isn’t the best idea. I’ve been taking pregnacare for the past couple of months - let’s hope it’s doing some good! Also your OPK is looking strong!

@Juno231 140 days!!! Good to know I’m in good company! Let’s hope AF shows up before then though. Your chart looks great!! Fingers crossed for you.

@Mol234 hard to know what's best isn't it? I was en route to buy it but had been having some spotting then AF came anyway, and read mixed opinions. Hurry up AF (but not on Xmas day!).

@Mol234 Completely think we’re just on a waiting game which is fine means we can enjoy Christmas, let AF sort itself out ready for the new year (and maybe a bit more if some of the ladies here’s numbers are anything to go by)

I’m not sure period wise, I’ve been on the pill ever since I can remember (at least 10 years) so don’t have a proper point of reference

@Nellieee sorry I thought you meant when did I start OPKs for this cycle 😂 I started using them about 3 months ago and normally start around CD10

@LauraT94 no point testing I think, chart looking a bit sadder today 😬

@Juno231 I'm not convinced it looks sadder. That's not a huge dip at all! I reckon tomorrow will be the decider. You can see I had a two day dip before it started really jumping up. Not trying to get your hopes up, but just don't want you getting sad just yet! Xx

@Kay00 ah brilliant thank you, these would be handy to have, as during the first lockdown I was just given antibiotics without even being tested, so wouldn't want to end up on and off them through pregnancy without a UTI being confirmed, so will be helpful for me to check myself :) xx

Afternoon ladies... I have to admit... period pains suck!!! I have all the pain but randomly no blood (just very very light... more a blush of pink). I'm sure its waiting and will hit me like a tsunami! Also, I feel my diet could be 100% chocolate today and it still wouldn't be enough! our bodies are so cruel .

Actually ladies, when would you mark CD1? I had very light spotting on Monday night before bed. Then very similar all day yesterday... only really light pink when I wiped, no need for a pad yet and today it has dried up (but lots of cramping).

Do you think CD1 was yesterday or is it yet to come (assuming heavy bleeding follows this evening or tomorrow)?

@Kay00 I wouldn’t say CD1 has happened yet xx I thought it was full flow not spotting xx I’ve had spotting on Monday. Tues and weds it’s been more then spotting which has required a pad.

@moocher90 hmm... yes, I thought as much. I put yesterday as CD1 but now changed it to spotting. She'll probably get me with full flow just as I'm getting into bed!

@Kay00 oh no!! Period pains are bleurgh. Ahh I have read mixed things about first day of period and spotting, but I always come across this article... helloclue.com/articles/cycle-a-z/what-is-spotting

I might be inclined to say CD1 if it sticks around?

Feel like I might have had ovulation pain yesterday and this morning. Had such an odd sensation and wondering if it's that. Can only really describe it as a pressure above my bladder, and feeling of fullness there. Odd!

@nellieee thanks!! That was very useful, based on this article I'll put yesterday as CD1 and so far 2 x days of light bleed 😊

Ref your possible ovulation pains, what CD are you on? Do you have any other symptoms such as wet/egg white cervical mucus? Are you comfortable testing the position of your cervix? Is it high and soft?

Hi all, is it ok if I join. I’ve been following on your parties for a couple months now and finally plucked up the courage to post. TTC #1 I came off the pill start of October had a withdrawal bleed few days after and then on cd 37 had my real first period. The first month off the pill was the worst talk about heightened symptoms. I started using OPKs from cd12 and started getting a few niggles on my right hand side a few days later nothing too painful I then ovulated on cd27 and have been in pain since. The day after ovulation was the worse. I’m now 6dpo and the pain is still there it’s not cramping it’s like a dull ache on my right side and then sharp pains it hurts to sit and bend and stretch initially. Has anyone else been like this the first month after first proper period. OH keeps thinking I’m pregnant but I know even if I am it shouldn’t hurt this early on (men really haven’t a clue) and I can’t confide in anyone as no one knows. We are due to get married in a few weeks (postponed wedding) so don’t want to tell people we are ttc.

@Luna57 ofcourse, welcome! ☺️ I had so many cramps on the first few months off the pill, I convinced myself I must have endo or PCOS, they have settled down in the last few months, would be great if you were pregnant that quick though!

@ChinChilly thank you! Thanks for the reassurance. I’m sure it’s just my body still trying to deal with all the new hormones again. Hopefully AF stays away for another few days so I can finally POAS in my first 2ww

@Nellieee yes I get that kind of ovulation pain! It starts off feeling like a stitch in my side and then turns into that fullness/pressure feeling.

@Luna57 welcome! I had loads of symptoms too when I first came off but they did settle probably from the second proper cycle onwards. But hoping you do get your bfp straight away!

@Kay00 I always find the spotting/first day of period confusion tricky. I tend to log as day 1 and mine usually does take a few days to kick in. I hate that it starts light though as I always convince myself it’s implantation bleeding or something 😂 but it’s always my period lol. Hope she hurries up for you so you can have a relaxing Christmas and get started again!

Hello all, hope everyone is well. I'm still getting a faint positive preg test after MMC surgery, so lots like itll be another week before its negative. Interestingly my temps are the lowest they have ever been! From next week I might start looking at OPKs again if PTs are negative.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm sorry it's taking a while to go back to zero! Hopefully you'll get your BFP straight away and fulfil the MN tale of being extra fertile after miscarriage ❤️

@Luna57 welcome! You're in the right place :) I think super enhanced symptoms aren't unusual just off the pill, it should hopefully calm down after a few cycles though. Fingers crossed you won't even get that far and get your BFP in the meantime!

My chart is looking good today but alas I tested this morning and got a BFN. I know I'm not out until the witch shows up but I am sure she will! I'll just browse the "charts like mine" section for now, filtered for pregnancy charts with BFNs before BFPs 🤣

@Juno231 can you only use the charts like mine section if you have a paid for FF account?

I have a really weird chart but I got crosshairs this morning, which I'm over the moon about as I wasn't sure I'd ovulated or not! Guess I'm officially in the TWW!

@TheDaydreamBelievers sorry its taking a while to get negative tests 😕 hopefully you’ll be able to get back to normal soon!

@Juno231 your chart is looking good, when are you planning to test?

I’ve had a load of EWCM this morning CD13 OPKs are still showing as low, will try again this afternoon my surge seems to come on quickly. I have my GP consultation tomorrow re my blood test and thyroid levels, feeling abit apprehensive as I feel I’m going to get fobbed off, but hopefully I get the GP on a good day!

I am utterly exhausted I’ve been none stop for last 3 weeks, I break up tomorrow but am COVID marshalling on the weekend again! (I say marshalling, literally just walking around busy areas 😂) I’ve been doing it since lockdown 2 was lifted so I literally have not had a day off including weekends for the whole of December! I’ve still got presents to get aswell so will likely be shopping up until christmas eve......HELP ME 😂😂

@Juno231 Ignore my first message, DUH you’ve already tested 😂 10DPO is still early though, keeping everything crossed for you!
