They then did hormone bloods @Robyn101 (FSH, AMH, Prolactin and the androgens) so maybe ask for those too? It was prolactin that was high for me (and likely the cause of no AF!)

Morning all. So advice needed. I will attach my OPKs too. I woke up really early as was busting for a wee. I saved my wee sample until I got up at 06.30 and tested it. Also checked my temp before I got out of bed which was 36.19 at 04:25 and usually I do my temp at 6am I put it in the converter and it suggests temp to be amended to 36.36. When hubby’s alarm went off at 6:30 I checked temp again and it was 36.21.
What temp do I go with???

My opk today is now 0.17. I will test later but worried that I may have missed my surge now and have only DTD once

So that call was a big fat annoyance.

Doctor doesn’t want to do any tests yet, because I’d been on the combined pill for around 15 years he thinks I should give it 6 months to sort itself out

I had a random unexplained bleed while on the pill in 2019 which meant I had tests for thyroid, testosterone etc and also had a TV Ultrasound so because that was all ‘ok’ at the time he thinks to leave it till May 😞

Can’t help but feel disappointed because if there’s an issue then surely I’m just waiting around for 5 months, I know it could come on it’s own too but I just hate the ‘wait and see’ approach

@Moocher90 the pink OPK definitely looks the darkest, just keep testing mine was up and down for a few days before it peaked. Also don’t worry about DTD once, it only takes one swimmer!

@Robyn101 I feel you frustration, my GP was exactly the same. Basically not interested until it had been 12 months. I agree if there is a problem isn’t it best to sort it sooner rather than later. Frustrating.

@Robyn101sorry to hear that. It's so frustrating this waiting game! It'll be 3 months for me waiting for AF in 2weeks time as well and I'm just so bored of it and seriously stressing myself out! Was considering going to my GP as well, but maybe I won't bother now. Have you considered private checks? I've been looking into medichecks which do at home finger prick tests for female hormones

@abi555 I’d still give them a call you might have a more responsive GP! I’ve had a little look into the tests but I don’t know whether to just leave it for a while, it’s my birthday in feb so I think I’ll use that as a marker and look at private tests after

I’m on furlough at the minute and really stretched so don’t really want to be paying out but not knowing also drives me mad here’s hoping for an AF Christmas 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Robyn101 @abi555 are any of you taking any supplement? I read that zinc can help regulate your period. When I came off the pill in October I started taking vitamin c+ zinc, magnesium+ calcium, vitamin d, b12, folic acid & omega 3s. I don’t know if any of them helped but I took my period cd37. A high carb diet is meant to help and B6 too. I spent weeks googling how to bring on my period. I wasn’t using OPK from my withdrawal bleed to actual AF so don’t know if I actually ovulated. Are you using OPKs? You might catch a late ovulation. We used to spend years of our lives wishing AF wouldn’t turn up and now we’re wishing she would 😂

@Luna57 it’s madness isn’t it! Because as soon as it’s here I’ll go back to hoping I don’t see it again 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m taking the seven seas pre conception tablets so they’ve got folic acid, d, zinc and a whole heap of other stuff so think

Interesting about the high carb diet, after xmas I’ll be trying to lose weight so not sure how I’d balance the two but deffo good to know

I’m doing OPK tests on the app I use it says you need between 100% - 200% on their scanner to get a peak reading and highest I’ve had is around the 30s

Just got to hope all the little things add up and help AF get on her way

@Robyn101 let’s hope she turns up soon! Keep testing your OPKs you might surprise yourself. Your body is definitely trying to do something. I never got lines that dark before I ovulated. I never really got that EWCM or the horn either so I thought my body was broke. If I wasn’t doing OPKs this month I would of taken my OV cramps for PMS and def wouldn’t of DTD. Hoping AF turns up for you but still possible to OV and get a BFP before she does so try not to stress too much- easier said than done I know 😂

@Robyn101 @Luna57 is right, best to keep monitoring for now and building up a picture of what is going on... it is very possible you will ovulate any day and you could fall pregnant... if not then I hope AF shows for you soon... and for you @abi555 !

@moocher90 You might or might not want to hear this, but I think you might not have ovulated yet. Its still quite early in your cycle (CD9/10) and your high was only 60%. I would use the temperature from 06:30 (as it was closer to your usual waking time) and adjust back... so that puts you at about 36.15. I would keep DTD every other day and keep tracking, hopefully you'll get a peak in excess of 100% and you will get the chance to DTD all over your ovulation day ... it could even be a Christmas conception!

I'm on CD 9, not a lot going on here... temps are steady at between 36 and 36.15 and CM is creamy. I might start OPKs tomorrow, but I suspect i'll be waiting until the new year before I ovulate. I start my Christmas holiday's tomorrow and I cannot wait!

@Kay00 I’m going to continue to monitor and see what my temps do over the next few days and also continue to DTD until a temp shift confirms ovulation. Also will continue with OPKs too. It possible that abit like your cycle my body tries to ovulate but fails so tries later on in the cycle. And so far I’m still only on CD10 so can’t complain just yet. I’m looking forward to having a few drinks and eating lots of nice food over Xmas and then start the diet in the New Year xx I will get to spend 4 whole days with my DH too which is nice as we don’t get to spend much quality time together

For those temping, I would definitely do the opks as well. I’m finding them really useful and not sure if I need to temp as well?

So I came off the pill in August and had my withdrawal bleed and have had two AFs since. I wasn’t expecting to ovulate till later this week going my premom but I’ve been doing my OPKs and it has happened slightly earlier! Picture attached for you.
