@ChinChilly you can always do you bbt even if it’s not exactly at the same time and then if it’s earlier or later then usual then use the converter below. As long as you do it everyday. I keep the thermometer by my bedside and before I wake up I put my arm out and pop it in my mouth. Once done I’m up out of bed x

@ChinChilly I tried it but I really couldn’t be bothered to get up at the same time I would for work on the weekends 😂. I need my sleep 😴. I’m not very good at falling back to sleep after I’ve been woken up.

Hi there, am hoping I can join! I think I may have done before in one of the older threads a little while ago! I came off the pill end of June and after the initial breakthrough bleed waited 137 days for AF! When it came it was very heavy for 5 days then just left. I started using OPKs and got my peak last Friday which was day 25 so fairly late and since Saturday night I’ve been getting pretty bad pains first in the left ovary and now in the right, it’s so stabby and horrible :( I do have severe endometriosis and only have my right tube left, does anyone else get bad pain with ovulation? Keen to hear others symptoms! Thanks x

@CLKELL I definitely got ovulation pains and they are SHARP. Like you, I had a giant long wait for AF then on the two cycles my body definitely tried to ovulate more than once before it managed. Sharp pain is a good sign it probably did happen!

As for my update- getting back into the swing of temp recording (all over the place- 0.4 Celsius drop from yesterday to today!), PTs still positive (should go negative by 2 weeks time), just treating myself well with exercise and food etc. Plan is to start using OPKs again once PTs turn negative.

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you for replying, I remember we actually spoke before a few months ago as you had the long cycle and I was on mine too. I’m so sorry for what you’ve just gone through and I really hope you’re ok, being kind to yourself and doing the things you’ve said is good, each day at a time :)
This is my first ovulation after the first period so I’m really hoping I have and even if it doesn’t work this time I’ll be happy it’s going the right way fingers crossed. 3yrs ago we first started ttc before I got really poorly and my ovulation was the most intense for me painwise but I had large cysts that have since been removed so hopefully it’s more normalish now!

@TheDaydreamBelievers how are you feeling? Mentally as well as physically? I hope you're getting best as best you can xx

@ChinChilly I think the 25miu won't pick up a very early pregnancy, I think the FRER ones are 12.5 I think. But good enough if you are testing past your AF due date.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I think treating yourself to good healthy food and some exercise is sooo right. I always fall into the trap of treating myself to food, but I never feel good about it the next day.

@CLKELL Welcome back! I have had (what i think are) ovulation pains, they are sharp but quite light popping, and a couple of times they have been sharp enough to make me say out loud 'Ow!'. Hoping you'res aren't too painful x

I'm 6DPO, temps are still nice and high (well... 36.4 ish, so good for me) but not a lot happening over here.

@Kay00 I managed to find some easy@home ones that come with the ovulation tests, the HCG tests are 10miu apparently!

@ChinChilly I'm glad you went for easy@home - was just about to recommend them. FRERs are 6 so with 25 you'd have to have missed your period up pick anything up 😬

It was my 30th birthday on Friday so went away to the Cotswolds for the weekend and logged off. Have a lot to catch up on!
I'm glad I'm not pregnant already as lots of champagne was consumed this weekend in celebration 🤣🍾

I'm on CD13 now and nothing to report. Low OPKs and no EWCM, so hoping ovulation will happen this week and I'll be on for a normal cycle. Temp has dipped a little bit today and yesterday so I think that's a good sign it could be starting to gear up?

@LauraT94 OMG just seen your news! First cycle! You must be over the moon and that's so exciting that you can get a scan before Xmas! Congratulations lovely! 🥰

@Emmgrem aww thank you! It's definitely a lovely time of year for it all to be happening! We've told parents but have a reveal planned for our siblings at Christmas after the scan ❤️

So I thought I'd test the 'positive OPK when pregnant' theory, and it's definitely true 😂 my LH test is the strongest I've ever seen one!! And the HCG one I did this evening without a long hold and it's the strongest line I've seen on an IC so far ❤️ still feeling really anxious as AF is due tomorrow and I can't shake the mental feeling that it's still going to come!

@ChinChilly sorry just reading back through and I think I got the wrong end of the stick 🤦🏼‍♀️ teaches me for scanning through haha! Hope you're ok x

@LauraT94 haha, don’t worry! Im ok thanks I think I’m over AF getting me! Interesting you did the LH test thing! I had a super strong OPK the day before my period was due, (almost a week before my period turned up in the end) I’m fairly certain I had a chemical 🙁 if I had only tested early I would know for sure! But im 90% sure I did.

@Kay00 thank you so much, it’s so reassuring to read everyone’s stories :) I’ve felt awful today! I always suffered with ovulation before but this is the first one I’ve had for a couple years due to all the ops I had and being on pill. My pains have subsided now but on top of the pains I’ve been crazy hot today, almost like having a fever which has been so weird and had a bad headache, achy legs and nausea! I’ve also had EWCM through day but not always clear, almost a kind of yellowy colour so god knows what’s going on

@ChinChilly ah it does sound quite likely doesn't it 😢 I'm so sorry. That's the main thing I'm terrified of at the moment. I know it's probably not much consolation but at least it's confirmation that you've got your timings right in terms of getting the sperm to the egg? And your body is capable of getting pregnant ❤️ not much consolation I'm sure, and I'm hoping this next cycle is the one for you!

@CLKELL sorry you're suffering so much with ovulation symptoms! I usually get cramping for a few days after but I know hot flushes can be normal! Hope you feel better soon

@LauraT94 thank you, good to know hot flushes are normal so let’s hope it all dies down soon!

@LauraT94 it is the only positive from it, I’m going to start testing early to see if it happens again and hopefully its not a regular thing! Keeping everything crossed you’ve got a sticky little bean on board ❤️

So the covid vaccine was released today. I guess when it comes round to the younger generation will be quite some time anyway.

Anyone going to have it when they finally get the opportunity to? I’m very much undecided. I just watched this morning and the dr on there said that it is safe for women who are TTC.... never know what to believe.

@Moocher90 I’m not sure I would have it if I’m still TTC at that point just because it hasn’t been tested on pregnant women, I just wouldn’t want to risk it....I’m not an anti vaxxer by the way 😂😂 and if I wasn’t TTC I would have it I think

I don’t think I will be having it! However my job means they will probably expect me to have it as I work in the public sector! However if it’s going to effect any issues with TTC I will wait until there’s more information about it. I guess when it gets to our age category will be a few months wait anyway
