@Moocher90 I would definitely have it if I wasn't pregnant! I've done a lot of reading into it. None of the safety trials have been skipped, just assessed in a different way. As for taking it when TTC, I probably would. But that's easy to say without being faced with the actual choice 🤷🏼‍♀️ I will be encouraging OH to have it if he's offered it!

I saw somewhere online that they had used already approved drugs to make the vaccine which is another reason why it came about so quickly, not sure how true that is though, don’t believe everything I read online 😂

@Moocher90 I'm very much undecided too, I'm sure it would be ok but I don't know if it's worth the risk. Hopefully by the time it would get round to me they'll have more evidence etc as I imagine I'll be fairly low down the list for getting it. The only other thing that concerns me is if I don't get it then I'll have friends and family asking why I'm now, and TTC is stressful enough without people knowing we're trying!

@Moocher90 it's not approved for pregnant women simply cause it cant be tested on that population (same as why it isnt recommended for kids!). If I weren't TTC I'd have it but wont have it at the moment. To be honest I'm not a risk group either (though I am a clinician so they may request we have it!)

Hey everyone, keen to hear your thoughts on my OPKs, I had my peak last week, it went down for a couple days and now it’s gone up again? I’m in so much pain too which I think is the ovulation (I have severe endometriosis).

@CLKELL I'd recommend temping to be honest! You can have multiple peaks without ovulating so you won't really know unless you confirm with a temp shift in afraid.

Re vaccines - I won't be taking it. Too risky if TTC and it's not recommended.

I feel like the drop in my RHR is as dramatic as me when AF arrives 😂😂

@Juno231 I’ve been trying to avoid the temping thing for now but I was roasting yesterday afternoon and evening, almost like a fever

@ChinChilly haha that is VERY dramatic! Mine weirdly didn't drop during the FP this cycle, not sure why! Normally I can see a very clear shift after ovulation, just like with my temps.

Did I give an update this morning? If not then I was meant to say that I had a big spike in temp today (36.05 to 36.40) so I think it's safe to say I ovulated yesterday! Managed to DTD on O and O-2 in the end, hope that was enough!

@Juno231 77bpm was very high for me to be honest, I normally sit around 63-66 so it will will probably drop again tomorrow.

@Juno231 congrats on your ovulation! Hoping for some good news around Xmas!!

I just had my progesterone results back. I did the test 6 days after ovulation and the results were: 25.3 nmol/L I have read that might be on the low side(?) but I still think I have ovulated as I had a clear temp increase (?). Has anyone else had this tests done? The lab say my results are within normal range (which they have as 5.8 to 79).

@Kay00 I think over 30 confirms ovulation but tbh if you did it on day 6 then I think you'd probably have been past 30 the following day? Might be worth following up on though in case the docs think it would be too low to sustain an embryo? Remind me what kind of temps you have in the LP again?

Yes perhaps I should have waited an extra day. Chart attached my highest LP temp this cycle is 36.54.

I have been reading around the subject and I think its quite important to do the test 7 days after ovulation and 7 days before AF... which would be today, not yesterday. I think (assuming I don't catch this cycle) I'll buy another progesterone test for my next cycle.

I have my base line hormone tests booked for just after my AF is due to arrive next week and I think I'll talk to my doctor once I have all the results back.

Im still thinking about the GF diet for lowering TSH levels and will fo that after Xmas (for obvious reasons 😆) if my results show a higher than ideal levels.

Hopefully by the end of this year I'll have a clearer picture of what is going on.

Urgh my OH is useless. I told him im feeling a little flat and needed a hug and he rolled his eyes at me and said 'well, you will insist on doing these online tests'. Now I feel even worse 😭😭😭

@Kay00 aw 😔 that’s frustrating. Hope you feel better today! You’re right to be proactive with the tests and fingers crossed you’ll get anything resolved quickly and that will lead to your bfp more quickly.

Morning ladies. So my AF has arrived today 2 days late! So cruel lol. Never mind this is now my third proper cycle since coming off the pill in August.

@Kay00 sorry to hear you’re feeling abit down, men just don’t get the pressure that is on women when TTC

Question ladies...I’m just looking at my employers revised matt leave policy so they give you 12 weeks half pay on top of SMP which starts after the 6 weeks 90% pay so they give you 2 options

1. Week 7-18 half pay ontop of SMP
2. Lump sum of the 12 weeks half pay on return to work

I think I would prefer option 1 as it just takes a little bit of the financial pressure off for abit but the lump sum would be nice 🤔 obviously going to be a while until I need to decide need a BFP first 😂 but just curious on your throughts?

@Tillybabs oh wow, that sounds lovely, what a treat!

I'm feeling a little better about my progesterone result too... I think I might be within normal range, but only just. And I think given I had a +OPK followed by a temp rise I probably have ovulated. But i'll test again next cycle on 7 DPO to see if there is any difference.

My concerns lay with whether my progesterone levels would be high enough to sustain pregnancy even if I managed to conceive, but I suppose only time will tell on that one.

I would go for option 1. My work do offer similar to option 2 and don't understand why they offer it? Mat leave policies are a bit of a minefield! Same here no BFP yet but wanted to check out options xx
