@mackjm20 I love a bit of cycle temp analysis, so definitely pop a screen shot on here if you need an opinion :) it does take a cycle or two for the pattern to become clear

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 03/01/2021 07:55

@mackjm20 @Curiosity101 28 days to go... I've been counting down the days since I had 250 days haha! I'm not ovulating until 27 Feb though annoyingly. I'm really hoping my period this month is a few days late so it pushes my ovulation to the first week of Feb. Apparently diet and exercise can make your period later and I do plan to cut out bread and cakes, biscuits etc and do some more exercise so I'm really hoping I end up ovulating first week.

I'm not sure what ICs are? I didn't realise you have symptoms that early on, I can't wait for it all haha!!

Curiosity101 · 03/01/2021 08:38

@sunflowersaremyfav93 IC stands for internet cheapie test. I have a bunch of the OneStep dip tests.

And yes symptoms wise, if I hadn't been pregnant before I don't think they'd have registered. I'd have just thought I was coming down with a bug.
I was super bloated, had indigestion, the odd wave of light nausea, sore boobs and constantly yawning in early evening.

It's mostly eased off now, although I can't sleep on my front anymore cause my boobs are too sore. I've done a lot of research on nausea treatments this time though. So I'm ready if it gets bad like last time.

wrensandrobins · 03/01/2021 08:56

4+3 today. 16dpo. This is my progression, every other day, dye stealer this morning! One more frer left but I don't think I will use it.

Like @Curiosity101 I had loads of symptoms last week sore boobs, nausea, cramping, banging headaches, had a very miserable nye in a lot of pain, but all have subsided and left me with just the boob pain. Thank goodness I have read that symptoms can come and go or I would definitely be very anxious out right now.

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
Curiosity101 · 03/01/2021 09:21

@wrensandrobins I was exactly the same with DS. When my symptoms went away I worried. I mentioned to DH at the time that it was weird I didn't feel anything anymore and I wanted the nausea back. How wrong I was!

Enjoy this lull before everything ramps up 😄

I'm hoping for a dye stealer in the morning at 15DPO. 🤞

mackjm20 · 03/01/2021 13:25

@Curiosity101 I should have started a while back to be honest but hey ho hopefully I’ll get a pattern soon :) thank you so much :) predicted is the 9th so have said to dh I want to DTD every other day 4th-17th and if I get a positive opk dtd more lol so will see what happens :)

Eek so excited for you all your progression looks so good :) keep us updated on the frer! I actually love when we get bfps on here as it’s like it’s working it’s actually happening for people :)

To anyone who is preparing to ttc still I would Highly recommend starting opks and temping before so you can predict your cycle better when you start as honestly this is my 5th cycle and first one tracking and it’s a whole new experience I feel like I’ve been doing it all blind for months lol!

@wrensandrobins thank you so much! I will defo pop one up after ovulation to see what your thoughts are if you don’t mind :) your progression looks so good :) so so happy for you :)

@sunflowersaremyfav93 eek so exciting I remember in the first thread you having your count down :) Omgosh fingers crossed that happens for you and you can start at the start of feb :) I think that would put us one week out from one another so fingers crossed for us both :) x

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 03/01/2021 18:20

@mackjm20 I know, I can't believe I started this thread back in July and here we are. Also means I have been obsessing since then as well. Hopefully we have the TWW together!

Does anybody have days where this absolutely consumes you? Like it's all I can think about at the moment, I was just looking at maternity clothes on H&M... I'm losing the plot. Do you ladies ever feel like that and if so how do you combat it? Maybe I just need to avoid socials for a few days? I always get bored and end up back on it.

MayDay27 · 03/01/2021 21:11

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I'm the same! Sometimes it's all I think about and other times not so much! When I'm going through a phase where it's all I think about I'm literally checking my fertility apps and googling things constantly! I don't think lockdown has helped as there isn't much to look forward to or to keep my mind of it! Currently on my first cycle of ttc after about a year of preparing. I got my lh surge last night/this morning so hopefully ovulating today/tomorrow Shock

mackjm20 · 03/01/2021 22:25

@sunflowersaremyfav93 so nice that so many of us have been here since July though :) so glad you started the thread. Omgosh I hope we do end up on tww together nice to have people to keep you sane :) I know exactly what you mean I’ve been obsessing again since nye lol! Hoping it passes this week when I’m busy at work :)

@MayDay27 I am the same with google and fertility apps when I’m in an obsessing stage! Like it’s constant and hypothetical forward date planning! I know what you mean about lockdown making it more of a focus :) good luck on your first month ttc that’s so exciting! Fingers crossed for you :) please keep us updated x

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 07:01

Morning all. Did my other FRER at 15DPO and I'm not convinced by the line at all. Also my sore boobs have disappeared. I'm not too hopeful of things continuing to be honest but we'll see. It obviously wasn't meant to be if it doesn't though.

I'm going to repeat an IC later in the week and see what that says. I'm honestly ok with it if this doesn't progress, sad if course, but if it doesn't then we will try again and will end up with a due date much further from DS which isn't a bad thing. 🙂

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 08:07

@Curiosity101 hey lovely, which test is which? Is the new one the bottom one?

wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 08:16

Also how many days dpo are there between the tests?

Virtual Hugs, it's a worrying time, and I know you say you are ok, but I really hope all is well for you xx

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 08:30

@wrensandrobins 10DPO is on top, 15DPO is in bottom. So 5 days between them. It's not just the test line though, I've had a few cramps and my boobs are no longer sore. Adding it all up I'm not too hopeful.

wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 08:36

Well based on the tests I don't think you have much cause to worry, the results aren't far off mine!

And cramping wise, lots of ladies get cramps and all is fine. My boob pain has definitely eased off this week.

I know it's natural to worry though xx

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 09:04

@wrensandrobins 🤞 Time will tell 🙂. I'm hoping it's good news but I'm ready if it isn't.

mackjm20 · 04/01/2021 10:54

@Curiosity101 keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻Sending love your way xxx

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 11:10

I probably need to just stop testing 🙉🙈. I don't know why I'm so nervous this time. With DS I did 3 pregnancy tests. 1 where I saw a hint of a line but DH didn't believe me so I went out and bought an early response. The second was that early response one. Then I did the other early response a couple of days later cause it came in a two pack.

wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 11:22

@Curiosity101 sometimes I think all the stuff we read on mn doesn't help, we are so much more aware of what can go wrong, i think it's worth remembering that people are far more likely to start a thread about something going wrong than everything being fine!

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 11:58

@wrensandrobins I definitely do know a lot more about TTC and pregnancy now than I did with DS. I can't blame MN though 😂🤣. With DS it was just a case of coming off of birth control and just seeing how it went. I went into it blissfully ignorant ☺️😄.

I think I probably do know why I'm so nervous though. With my last pregnancy I faced the very real threat of losing DS due to the abruption. That feeling has definitely transferred a little bit over to this pregnancy 🙈🙉. It's going to be a long 8 months if this is a sticky bean.

I'm choosing to remain optimistic now, but my emotions are all over the place. I don't think it helps that it's the first day back at work. The house is so quiet with DS at the childminder's. And I had my first team meeting this morning, everyone is feeling very flat. 😅😄

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 12:14

Interestingly I did a bit of reading and apparently biotin can really mess with your HPT reading. I take my Pregnacare vitamin late at night so it actually could be that my vitamin is lowering the result on the FRER. I wasn't taking Pregnacare when I did the first one, just Vit D and Folic acid.

I did another IC this morning but it was quite diluted SMU. Whether I'm worrying unneccesarily or not I thought it might be of interest to you girls 😊

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 13:14

Good to know about the vitamins- I have always used seven seas because the pregnacare ones make me really sick!

That test has definitely increased hcg!

I know what you mean about worry though- I did 1 15 minute hill run this morning and I have spent half a day googling running and miscarriage, because I have had a few tiny cramps!

I need to get a grip

Curiosity101 · 04/01/2021 13:47

@wrensandrobins Haha, what are we like? 🙈🙉. Your body can safely keep doing whatever it's used to doing with respect to exercise. I fully get where you're coming from and I reckon I would feel the same if I was you.

And yes, I feel a bit more reassured by the most recent test. For now... 😅

MayDay27 · 04/01/2021 17:05

Just reading people's comments on exercise. I normally run maybe 3/4 times a week only for half an hour or so but since I'm now in the TWW I've stopped because I was scared the motion would stop implantation! Is that a silly thing to worry about? I love running but if it affects chances of conceiving then id rather not. Does anyone know much more about this at all?

wrensandrobins · 04/01/2021 17:41

Apparently not, I have done a lot of googling,by all accounts it's beneficial as long as you don't over do it

CookieMonster3001 · 04/01/2021 18:42

Evening Ladies!

Hope you are all well. After taking a while off social media, I am feeling much better and much more positive. Today I had a scan at the EPU which confirmed the miscarraige was complete and everything had come out. She checked out my uterus and my ovaries, both of which looked good so there is no reason for us to not continue our TTC journey. Finally had a negative test as well which means I should ovulate soon. Whilst this month we aren't planning on trying, we are just going to go with the flow and not prevent. Should I fall again, great and if not I will have a period out the way so start properly trying again next month.

@mackjm20 it took me around 2 cycles to really get to grips with OPKs and temping. You eventually find that the temps show a pattern, so I wouldnt be too overly concerned about the temps being different every morning!! After consuming a bottle of wine over the last 3 days, I am defo doing dry January too!!Fingers crossed for your fertile window, DTD every other day seems a good idea! Isnt it crazy that we have all been in this since July..I kinda also feel like the time has flown by!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I cant believe your nearly there and I am so excited for you to start TTC!!! How is it January already?!?!

@curiosity101 glad your symptoms are easing up a bit! Like you said, enjoy this time before they ramp up! your IC progression looks good too! Your bottom FRER looks a hell of a lot darker that the top! Try to stay positive and big hugs!! Have you contacted the Drs yet? I read the cramping is really normal at this stage as its everything stretching and growing. I totally agree with @wrenandrobins honestly as much as I love MN and the support, it made things a lot worse for me as I just knew too much about everything, you end up analysing and googling every single thing!

@wrenandrobins your progression looks amazing too!! I never got a dye stealer (maybe that was the first sign?!) so its great to see you have them!! Looking strong and healthy! How are you feeling now?

@mayday27 fingers crossed for you lovely! When are you thinking of testing? I think with the exercise, they tend to say as long as its stuff you normally do and you dont start anything new thats overly strenuous you should be fine!

Well I almost cant believe its 4th Jan already, back at work today and dont even feel like I have had a holiday. Although I have just booked 3 days off in Feb for a nice long weekend (plus my next assignment is due...boo!!) My poor sister is also suffering so much with morning sickness right now, I feel so bad for her, but also kinda wish I had that!! Please tell me I am not a horrible sister for feeling a bit jealous!
