@sunflowersaremyfav93 Omgosh 100 percent I have to like correct my facial expression lol! Yea I feel like lack of DTD is probably the biggest factor in it not happening yet tbh. Just had so much on with work and dh being made redundant. But hopefully jan and feb going to track so I know when to focus the attentions :)

Looking for some guidance please :)
I took my temp this morning and have logged on femometer as well as flo- what apps do you all use? I’m also about to do my first opk what time does everyone tend to do them? I know I’ve asked before but I can’t remember and now we are on thread 3 will be impossible to find lol!

Then do I need to get actual ovulation tests too to check actual ovulation when the opks show a surge? It’s all very complex xx

wrensandrobins · 31/12/2020 08:21

I used natural cycles and Premom for my temps and found it useful to see my opks rise next to the temps.

I only ever used one step ovulation cheapies and once I got the hang of it, it was fine.

I used them every morning from day 10 and once the started to show a slightly darker line did one in the afternoon, and if it was close did another in the evening.

Even then I would never see 'peak' only 'high' because they were on there was back down the following morning, I think I ovulate over night 🙄 because my temp would be up the next day too

wrensandrobins · 31/12/2020 08:23

I know you are supposed to use afternoon wee but all that holding wee/ not drinking got on my nerves so I decided to use fmu until they started to look more promising

wrensandrobins · 31/12/2020 08:25

You know what's also confusing- dating pregnancies

I'm 4 weeks exactly today but I only ovulated on the 19th 🤣

I know it's the most accurate system for dating- but it doesn't feel logical

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 31/12/2020 08:29

@mackjm20 It's hard isn't it! If I've had a stressful day at work or my oh gets back late we're just too tired. I feel like at 27 and 28 that's bad but it's just reality... I'm hoping we'll actually be able to DTD as much as I'm hoping to in Feb.

So I use Premom to track my OPKs and I use Flo as well.. just always used Flo so stick with the both.

I haven't temped but I've been using OPKs, I bought the cheap ones off Amazon I got like 100 in the pack or something. I'll be honest I don't do them at any specific times it's just when I remember to do them, I have done one this morning with FMU though but I tend to usually do one around midday and then another around 6 my plan was to DTD every 2 or 3 days in the not fertile weeks and then everyday in the fertile week so there is always some sperm ready and waiting.

I can't believe how much there is so making a baby haha when I was younger I thought people got pregnant after the one time and at anytime in the month.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I reckon so yeah. Obviously the fresher the better but so long as they're up there ready and waiting then 🤞🤞🤞

mackjm20 · 31/12/2020 10:53

Thanks for all the guidance ladies :) going to give it all a good go this cycle and try so hard to DTD every other day (ridiculous to have to try I know life just gets to busy) :) Atleast then I can count it as cycle 5 but first cycle tracking and DTD regularly makes me feel a little better :)

On a side note have just been to Lloyds pharmacy for a full health check- BMI cholesterol blood glucose and blood pressure :) going to try super hard to stay on the healthy wagon starting with veganuary and dry jan and if when I go back in feb it makes enough of an improvement may stick to it until at target weight as in the back of my mind I know that it can take longer when ttc if BMI is higher x

Curiosity101 · 31/12/2020 12:06

@mackjm20 Any good changes you make will add up. I expect you'll feel healthier in yourself as well! 😊

I remember when first lockdown happened back in March, I started going for daily walks with DS. I was shattered when I got home. I'd sit in bed for the whole rest of the day and my legs would ache etc.

Now that same walk, pushing a much heavier DS, would be classed as a short walk and I wouldn't even register it in my day really. I only realised a month or two ago how much my fitness must have improved.

Clouless · 31/12/2020 15:45

Just got a positive opk and a smiley clear blue test for the first time. I'm so excited I don't know how I will ever cope when it comes to taking a pregnancy test one day! 🤣🤣

Curiosity101 · 31/12/2020 16:34

@Clouless Great news 😊

Clouless · 31/12/2020 19:41

Thanks Curiosity! You're fitness progress is great too 😊 hope everyone has a lovely, if quiet NYE.

Curiosity101 · 31/12/2020 19:54

@Clouless Thanks 😊 I hope you have a lovely New Year!

We're planning to watch the fireworks at Disney world and I'm currently sipping a virgin G+T... So basically a glass of tonic water. Rock and roll! 🎉🎉🎉

Definitely can't mistake my pregnancy symptoms now. I've got indigestion/reflux and a horrible sicky lump in my throat that comes and goes. I think I had this with DS, then it eased, then at week 6 it came back with a vengeance. ATM I'm just trying to savour enjoying the smell and taste of food. If this goes anything like last time I'll pretty much go off food completely.

Curiosity101 · 01/01/2021 08:52

Happy New Year. Wishing everyone lots of luck for BFPs in 2021!

wrensandrobins · 01/01/2021 09:01

Happy new year everyone!

Happy new year! X

mackjm20 · 02/01/2021 08:34

Morning ladies happy new year :) how are you all?

I am on temping and opks day 3- cycle day 8 nothing really to report yet. All the opks are showing as 0% range although I do see a faint second line on all of them - need to do some research as not sure if this is normal lol! My temp has been different every morning ranging from 36.11-36.6 so again not really sure what this means yet but hoping after a month of tracking I will be able to analyse :)

I have started veganuary (so added some extra vitamins B12 and iron) and dry jan so hoping for some positive impacts on the bmi and ready to start DTD every other day from Monday for 2 weeks as then I know based on previous cycles I must be hitting the fertile period :)

Genuinely considering doing ‘one year no alcohol’ after dry jan so that it’s less questions as I drink most weekends so people will guess we are trying or pregnant if I cut back... saying that will see how jan goes first lol! But one year alcohol free would eliminate that tell tell sign completely :)

Xxx

CookieMonster3001 · 02/01/2021 12:02

Hi all, just wanted to come on and quickly say happy new year to you ladies!! And a massive congrats to @wrensandrobins and @Curiosity101 I am sooo happy for you both!!!

Ive needed a bit of a break from social media for a bit and think I am going to tale this weekend too as still feel quite heartbroken! Bled heavily for around 4-5 days and its pretty much finished now. Tool a frer this morning and it has the faintest line so not long till my hcg is back to 0. Got a scan booked in for Monday to check everything has come out and the mc is complete. In two minds about whether or not to just jump back in to ttc or not!! We will see.

Anyway hope you are all well. Xxx

Curiosity101 · 02/01/2021 12:10

@CookieMonster3001 Thanks. It means a lot.

Do whatever you need to do to feel better. We'll all be here once you're ready Smile

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 02/01/2021 14:06

@mackjm20 I have no idea on temping but the veganuary sounds good! We're also doing dry Jan, I've got my OH taking some multivitamins as well so we're all ready for Feb.

@CookieMonster3001 I'm sending you love, take the time and def don't look at social media. I need to do the same. Apparently you're more fertile after a MC so that's def something to think about. We're all here when you want to chat.

@CookieMonster3001 sending so so much love your way! That is completely understandable take however much time you need. We are all here if you need to talk at all. Lots of love xx

wrensandrobins · 02/01/2021 15:10

@CookieMonster3001 thank you! Thoughts are with you! As everyone says, we are here when you are ready!

mackjm20 · 02/01/2021 15:21

@sunflowersaremyfav93 that’s good :) Omgosh feb is so close now are you feeling excited? :) xx

Curiosity101 · 02/01/2021 21:34

@mackjm20 I think it takes a while to get a proper pattern going with temping. So if you stick with it I bet it'll all even out. Smile.

Good luck with this cycle. When is your predicted ovulation?

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I'm super excited for you for February. You must literally be counting down the days now?

Curiosity101 · 02/01/2021 21:40

I'm doing well. 3w5d 😅😄 my initial symptoms have eased off, which I'm grateful for. I'm sure they'll be back before I know it. For now I'm just trying to enjoy this time, it feels like the calm before the storm.

I've also carried on doing ICs. Literally cause I don't know what else to do with them other than shove them in a drawer. 🤷 I'm hoping I'll never actually need them again and it seems wasteful to chuck them out. Instead I thought I may as well track progression for a few days. I'm going to do my other FRER either tomorrow (14DPO) or Monday. I think I'll be classed as 1 day late by tomorrow but after my LP went from 11 to 13 days I'm not sure 😕.
