@CookieMonster3001 Aww, I feel for you. I'm really hoping it all eases off for you soon so you can truly relax and enjoy it. Other than the cramps how're you feeling today? Ready for Christmas?

CookieMonster3001 · 23/12/2020 16:30

Other than the odd cramp here and there, I feel great. Still get a bit of a nauseous feeling randomly in the day and I am defo eating more than normal (that might just be Christmas!). All our plans have been cancelled for Christmas now as we have been moved into tier 4 which is annoying but at least I can slob at home and not have to hide anything. I am just hoping a can still eat a bit of the Christmas cake I made that has a bit of brandy in it!! I have been dying to try some for ages!!!

What DPO are you now? how are you feeling @Curiosity101 are you still able to go ahead with your Christmas plans?

Curiosity101 · 23/12/2020 16:45

@CookieMonster3001 Those Christmas plans sound very bitter sweet. Glad you're feeling well though. I know what you mean about the eating. I started the day with pain au chocolats and have already had some shortbread 🙈🙉🤣

I'm 2/3DPO depending on whether you follow my feelings or the app. My plan is to test next Wednesday at what I expect to be 10DPO.

I'm feeling good, nice and relaxed. I keep thinking it's the weekend cause I'm not working 😄. We've had to scale back Christmas due to the rule changes but my parents are still coming over. I'm looking forward to several more chilled days with DH and DS 🥰. I've started bagging up a load of DS's baby toys though as I'm expecting he'll get quite a few new ones at Christmas.

CookieMonster3001 · 23/12/2020 16:54

@Curiosity101 oh that's lovely that your parents can still come over. Fingers crossed for next Wednesday!! I've not heard back from the midwife yet so going to chase them up next Tuesday to make sure they received my form. Starting to think I maybe didn't click send as my brain has been all over the place this last week lol.
Defo feel more relaxed today as well as I have finally finished my assignment and submitted it so can chill and tomorrow is last day of work and will most likely finish at 12. Now we cant go anywhere, I am secretly hoping for inches of snow on Christmas Day haha

Curiosity101 · 23/12/2020 17:01

@CookieMonster3001 I'm surprised they haven't called you back yet. If it's been more than a couple of working days I think it makes sense to follow up. Your local midwife referral system sounds much more advanced than my local one though. I just left a voicemail on an answering machine 🤣

Great news about your assignment. The end is in sight! Oo snow on Christmas day would be wonderful.

CookieMonster3001 · 24/12/2020 11:06

To all the lovely pre-conception planning ladies, whether you are no longer planning, closer to TTC, have started TTC or are currently with child, HAVE AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It has been a whirlwind of a year with plenty of ups and downs and here's to a better 2021 with a bit of normality in sight! I am lucky to have met such strong, amazing women and I wish you all the best of luck and even better babydancing!!

Can you all have a prosecco for me! Thanks! :) :) :)

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 24/12/2020 11:25

Merry Christmas to you all lovely ladies!!!! 2021 is the year for us all, baby dust to everyone ✨✨✨✨✨

@CookieMonster3001 Will def have a Prosecco for you! Enjoy your last Christmas just the two of you before your little darling is here. Which makes me want to ask.. are you going to find out the gender?

OP posts:
Curiosity101 · 24/12/2020 12:44

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

@CookieMonster3001 Definitely going to take the opportunity tomorrow to have a cheeky prosecco before next week. I thoroughly recommend Nosecco though if you'd like some no alcoholic bubbles to celebrate with!

wrensandrobins · 24/12/2020 13:42

Merry Christmas everyone! Here's to 2021! Xx

CookieMonster3001 · 24/12/2020 14:26

@Curiosity101 might have to check out the nosecco for new years.. not sure I want to venture out to the shops now ahah

@sunflowersaremyfav93 we are a bit torn tbh about finding out about the gender.. think we are just going to decide when it comes to the time!! Were even more torn about when to tell our families! He wants to tell them at the exact same time (they live in different cities, so basically impossible unless we do it over video call which I refuse to do - unless we have no choice due to covid) I want to tell my parents first because they are better at keeping a secret, and then drive to his parents and tell them, but he's not keen on that idea haha

wrensandrobins · 26/12/2020 09:25

So I got a negative frer at 8dpo

And then found this

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/tools/pregnancy-test-calculator.php

Really wish I had looked at it before doing the test- at 8dpo only 40% of the sensitive tests come back positive!

It breaks it down by brand and everything, it even has a bit when it says your most likely to implant!

Really useful site- I think the data comes from people submitting data though so worth remembering that lots of women don't know when they ovulate and just go with the 'ovulation date' that apps like flo give based on the 14 day average

wrensandrobins · 26/12/2020 09:27

This is the chart for the sensitive frers

Curiosity101 · 26/12/2020 10:11

@wrensandrobins I normally try to suggest people wait until at least 10DPO for that exact reason. That won't stop me pestering DH from Monday (8DPO) onwards though 😄 and I'm only intending on doing ICs unless I get a hint of a line. If I get a hint of a line I'll do a FRER.

Good luck! Hopefully you should have better news on Monday!

Curiosity101 · 26/12/2020 10:16

How is everyone today? Our house is moving very slowly today 🤣. Myself and DH have been watching Mandalorian all morning whilst DS entertains himself with all of his new toys. We need to get our lazy butts up at some point and go for a walk though. ☺️

My dad bought me a Comfy jumper blanket thing though, so I'm finding it very hard to get the motivation together. 🤣🤣🤣

wrensandrobins · 27/12/2020 08:12

I'm a bit sad this morning- I'm pretty sure I'm out this month as my temps are so low, I know it's only my first cycle but knowing that the next two my partner is working away has me feeling a bit sad- I have a 12 day luteal phase and today is day 9 so I am going to save my tests and wait for Aunt Flo to come in 3 days.

Only blessing is that I'm sure I have put on a bit of weight this month judging by my jeans so at least I can focus on getting my bmi down, and because Aunt Flo will come before new year, there is a bottle of Prosecco with my name on it 🤣

CookieMonster3001 · 27/12/2020 08:49

Morning all. Shitting my pants a little this morning as I did my last CB digital expecting to see 3+ weeks as I am now 5+1 and it came up as 1-2 weeks. I did it 2 weeks ago and it was 2-3 so it defo should have gone up by now and im so scared!! I used FMU and it was super dark wee so very concentrated. The cramps have died down a bit but yday and the day before I got the tiniest amount of brown spotting. Could this be bad news?

wrensandrobins · 27/12/2020 09:14

@CookieMonster3001 I have no idea but hugs

I have heard those tests can be very inaccurate so try not to worry, I have definitely heard that brown blood is nothing to worry about

Curiosity101 · 27/12/2020 09:15

@CookieMonster3001 Oh gosh, I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. Those digitals can't be 100% accurate, just like how there's variation in normal tests so it's impossible to say for sure. I would prepare yourself for the worst but definitely hope for the best. I'll have everything crossed for you.

Curiosity101 · 27/12/2020 09:18

@wrensandrobins I can see why you're not hopeful but I wouldn't count yourself out! You're above coverline right? Some people's progesterone rises slower than others. 🤞 For you especially if your partner is away next cycle.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 27/12/2020 09:31

@CookieMonster3001 Oh cookie, sending you love. I'd be reacting the same as you. Can you call 111?

OP posts:
CookieMonster3001 · 27/12/2020 10:55

Ive got my first midwife appt on Wednesday so just going to wait until then. Hopefully its all OK and just a dodgy test but preparing myself for the worst just incase. Bit crap really but not much I can do about it.

Curiosity101 · 27/12/2020 11:19

@CookieMonster3001 I'll have everything crossed for you. 💐

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 27/12/2020 14:02

@CookieMonster3001 I have everything crossed for you too, rest until Wednesday and keep your legs elevated. My MIL had issues early pregnancy with my BF and she said one of the mums at school said go home and keep your legs elevated and do do a thing and she ended up having a healthy pregnancy. Don't know if it does anything to help but give it a go. Sending love. Let us know how it goes and we're all here to chat xxx
