Hi @mackjm20

We're not changing our TTC plans for COVID, the wedding is a bridesmaid for in May has been moved to Dec we just don't know how long we're going to be in this situation and it could take a while to get pregnant, i might miscarry because of the uterus issue I'd have started ages ago if it was up to me 😂 but yeah I really can't wait.

They say it takes up to a year to fall pregnant don't they, keep doing what you're doing and you'll get your bundle of joy. I don't blame you, enjoy Christmas!!

@mackjm20 yes cycle 1 for me!

@Curiosity101 sounds like you have lots planned which should keep you nice and busy :) hopefully it won't drag for you!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 definitely with you on the healthy eating jan, not too worried by the new tiers but I like to live in my own little world and ignore the news! We are completely surrounded by tier 4 though and sitting in tier 2!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 22/12/2020 10:17

@wrensandrobins I think it's a matter of time before we're in another lockdown but I think you're right, I'm quite happy in my own little bubble too 🥰 what a year!
So exciting that you're TTC now, when will you be testing?
God I can't wait to start, feels like I've been planning and prepping for ages!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 It's understandable to be worried. I was advised by my therapist to stay clear of the news. I tune in for the big announcements but that's it. It's also important to keep perspective and remember that sensationalism sells. Covid is just one of many risks in the world and a lot of what we're doing now is to avoid spreading this disease to more vulnerable people and avoid overwhelming our health service. Tbh the health service gets overwhelmed pretty much every winter during flu season, it just doesn't make good news cause it's what we've come to expect. At this time of year there'd normally be semi regular articles about hospitals closing their doors due to norovirus and/or flu 🤷.

I'm well, not testing until next Wednesday when I should be 9/10DPO. I'm not expecting any symptoms between now and then. I'm also in a weird place where I would be happy and grateful to fall pregnant this cycle but at the same time with my risk of delivering early I'd probably prefer a January or February conception. So although I want to know if we've been successful, I'll be happy with either outcome.

I'm with you in the eating 🙈🙉 my friend bought me a tin of shortbread. I have two food weaknesses, mince pies and shortbread. 😂😂😂

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 10:19

@mackjm20 Sorry to see your update 😔, sounds like you're handling it well though! You're right that there are definite upsides to not being pregnant over Christmas. Fingers crossed for next cycle 🤞.

I'm cycle 1, first test planned for next Wednesday.

mackjm20 · 22/12/2020 10:30

@Curiosity101 eek so exciting for you :) good that again either way you would be content :)

Aw thank you :) yea I’m surprisingly okay and looking forward to enjoying Christmas :) normally I just dwell after the bfn but this cycle I’ve got something happy to focus on as we are seeing dh family Xmas day and he hasn’t seen them in months :) i go through waves of being like ‘I want it to happen right now!’ To you know ‘when it happens it will be right’ :) in fairness as well as it’s taken longer by March we will be debt free and with any luck if dh finds a job can use all his redundancy money for savings :) also each month gives me more time to lose weight so every cloud :)

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I know what you mean about all the news! Good news though is that you are allowed partners with you now which for me is a game changer as that was my biggest fear :) x

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 10:37

@wrensandrobins Yep, super busy. ☺️

surreychick · 22/12/2020 10:39

Hi all, fairly new to here, just been reading mainly - We’ve been ttc for 14 months now, this month we only managed it once as I had an HSG and really wasn’t in the mood.

I’ve now got really bad acne on my jaw and chest and shooting pains in my breasts. Temp is 37.5. Would it be too early for this? I’m on day 22 of my cycle as had a progesterone test today!

Thank you!

wrensandrobins · 22/12/2020 10:42

@surreychick it would depend on when you ovulated? Do you have a graph? :)

surreychick · 22/12/2020 10:47

@wrensandrobins we didn’t really track it this month as I bled for a while after the HSG but I’m probably 11 or 12 dpo. When I noticed the ovulation symptoms we dtd that day!

Ps I love you name!! Robins are my favourite!

wrensandrobins · 22/12/2020 10:53

@surreychick 11 or 12 dpo you could still be in with a chance! It's tricky isn't it without knowing for sure!

Thank you! Me too!

surreychick · 22/12/2020 11:05

So hard and we’ve had months before where my body has tricked us - I’ve had all the symptoms and then AF arrived. Too early to take a test which is so hard!!!

surreychick · 22/12/2020 11:06

@wrensandrobins we did on what I reckon was day of ovulation but I’m around 11dpo now

CookieMonster3001 · 22/12/2020 11:24

Morning ladies! Hope you are all well! Been meaning to catch up with you guys for a while, but been busy trying to tie up all my work before annual leave, and get my assignment finished!

@wrenandrobins Yay for ovulation, welcome to the TWW hope it goes well for you, keeping my fingers tightly crossed!! It honestly drags so much but at least you have the festive period to keep you occupied hopefully!

@curiosity101 so glad your ovulation happened as you planned! another TWWer..hope it goes well! You are so right about avoiding the news! Honestly all I feel like it does it upset me!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I am a bit gutted about the tier changes as well. We were planning on going to see my parents but wev gone from a Tier 2 to Tier 4 in less than a week and I ended up crying my eyes out on Saturday about it!! On the plus side, I dont have to hide me not drinking to anyone now! Its Christmas, food at Christmas has no calories lol

@mackjm20 Im so sorry to hear about your BFN but like you said, at least you can enjoy the drinks at xmas!

I am doing well thank you!! I am 4 weeks and 3 days today. Feeling pretty normal apart from regular cramping. Some days I still feel like AF is going to show up! Only other symptom I am feeling at the minute is really mild nausea at the beginning of the day. The sort where you feel like you got a bit of a lump in your throat, but nothing that bad. I feel like the time is dragging a little, especially as I am still waiting on the midwife to call me, but its because I found out so early, whereas most people with more patience than me, would have only just found out lol. Planning on taking my final digital test this Thursday with the hopes it says 3+ weeks to make me feel better. Me and OH were planning on getting an early scan done in the new year, but with the new tier 4, they are only doing them on medical grounds, so thats out the window. OH is finally getting excited about it and has been so sweet and amazing. I just cant wait for a scan to make sure everything is OK!

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 11:37

@surreychick 12DPO is when most people should see at least a faint positive test if they're pregnant so you'd be safe to test if you were correct with your ovulation date. I appreciate it's really difficult to know if you're not specifically tracking though.

If it's not too nosey, have you had any other tests done prior to the HSG?

surreychick · 22/12/2020 11:43

@Curiosity101 thanks so much, I’ll go and get one of those early tests today - I’m a bit scared to take it as don’t want to be disappointed but I know I should :)

I’ve had blood tests, an ultrasound and then an HSG. My husband is due to have a test in February as that’s the first time the lab can do it!

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 11:44

Hey @CookieMonster3001! Glad to hear everything is going well Smile. I think you're right that this lull between finding out and having your first appointment does seem to drag if you find out early. The booking appointment isn't very exciting though. It's mostly a load of paperwork really and sending off your referral for the 12-week scan.

It sucks about lockdown affecting private early scans Sad. Having said that, you won't see much before 7 weeks anyway. We went for an early scan with DS and they dated me at 6w3d I think. He just looked like a little blob tbh. So maybe it'll work out better as you'll see more of a baby bean shape if you have to go a little later?

Fingers crossed for you for Thursday. Grin

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 11:46

Actually, I tell a lie, I've just checked and that was 7w3d

CookieMonster3001 · 22/12/2020 12:53

That's @Curiosity101 defo happy to wait till official scan, just feels like its dragging! Haha... and looking at your scan makes me more excited to see mine!! Its the cramps that have been worrying me! I know I have read on google everywhere that its normal, but cant help but worry about it!

Clouless · 22/12/2020 13:45

Hi ladies. I've not posted here much but seemed like a nice little moment for a catch up 😊. We've been ttc (kind of) since my implant was removed at the beginning of September. Cycles seem to be kind of regular in length but I've just had a really weird period for 9 days which was much lighter than normal, so who knows! I'm trying to use OPKs for the first time this month but I have no idea what I'm really doing! Apps are all predicting that I will ovulate at some point over the Christmas weekend! Hope everyone is doing okay xx

Clouless · 22/12/2020 13:48

And congratulations @cookiemonster3001 ! I feel like you are stepping out into the battlefield before us all! 🤣

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 17:06

@CookieMonster3001 It's completely normal to worry about every little twinge. I'd like to say it gets easier as you go along but the twinges just change after you've gotten used to them and give you a whole load of new things to worry about! Then you worry the baby isn't moving enough. Then they're moving too much. Maybe you're too big or you're not big enough. 😂🤣👍

Being pregnant is so much fun! ☺️

Curiosity101 · 22/12/2020 17:07

@Clouless Hi 👋 Good luck for Christmas!

Clouless · 22/12/2020 19:23

@Curiosity101 Thank you! Trying to go with a very relaxed approach. Currently enjoying a glass of wine and some chocolate 🤗

CookieMonster3001 · 23/12/2020 15:01

@Curiosity101 you are so right and I am trying to relax as much as possible! Hopefully the cramps will start easing off soon. Last night they were intense (not painful) and I literally felt like I was about to start bleeding! I feel like I am on constant knicker watch lol

@Clouless best of luck!! hope you get some good babydancing in over Christmas and some good news in the new year!!
