@wrensandrobins That's great news. I had a whiter than white OPK this morning 🙄. I've got everything crossed for ovulation on Sunday or Monday. I have had OPKs go from stark white to positive overnight but I just don't feel like I normally do when I'm a couple of days away from ovulation so we'll see 🤷😄

Close to positive? I reckon test this afternoon?

I had no idea they changed this rapidly! No wonder I miss my serge I always have given up by this point!

@wrensandrobins I'd expect that to go positive within the next 24 hours so I think it's a good plan to retest this evening. I'd then retest first thing in the AM once you wake up. Fingers crossed, looks like you were spot on with your CM observation earlier though!

I have ovulated! Temp shot up over the cover line, now in my first TWW going to try and hold out till the 29th to test! At least I have plenty to distract me!

I'm so confused, I just had the strongest opk yet this morning yet my bbt says that I have ovulated maybe last night, which reflects the patterns for my last few cycles, but surely my opks should have been that strong 24 hrs or more ago if that was the case?

Neither me or my partner are keen for sex today so I guess I don't want to miss ovulation, but also we are so tired from all the sex 🤣

@wrensandrobins My guess is you peaked shortly after that 5pm test yesterday and then ovulated overnight. Your 9am test is likely to be on its way back down. It's only a guess though and I'd trust your BBT more than the OPKs.

People do often quote ovulation as 24-48 hours after the peak. But personally I've always felt what I thought was ovulation pains within 12 hours of my peak reading 🤷

@Curiosity101 thank you, that's what I thought too :) thanks I think I'm safe not to BD today, which is good because OH is on strike 🤣 now for my first TWW

My LH is on its way back up . I had a sneaking suspicion it was as I was starting to feel like my normal pre-ovulation self. It's looking likely for a peak either tomorrow or Monday. I guess there's no rush now though after the Christmas update this afternoon .

@Curiosity101 are your Christmas plans cancelled? Ours have changed, we were going to see my partners parents but they are 2.5 hrs away which is a bit far for the day.

You are only a few days behind me for ovulation!

@wrensandrobins Not quite cancelled but my FIL and BIL won't be able the visit (5 hour drive). So it'll just be my dad, grandma and sister. I'm a bit 😕 about it. I was so excited for DS to see his grandad and uncle. They've not seen him since February!

And yes, looks like I'm 2-3 days behind I think. This morning's OPK confirmed the LH rise so I definitely expect a peak tonight or tomorrow. 👍

Has any one changed their prepping plans with news of a vaccine? My instinct it to carry on regardless as I am not a priority group and it could be best part of the year before I get a vaccine, but otherwise with pregnancy and breastfeeding am signing up to 2 years without one otherwise? And would it be putting myself and unborn baby (and as yet unconceived baby) at risk to not have one??

FYI this isn't a vaccine debate - I will have the vaccine when I am able to regardless. Keen to hear others thoughts on this!

@wrensandrobins That's great news! When did you say you were planning to test? 29th?

I think I'll do either 30th or 31st. If I can make myself wait then first thing on the 31st would be more sensible than 30th but we'll see. I have very little restraint!

I totally agree btw, it's no wonder people can miss their peaks when they can come on so fast.

@Curiosity101 yes the 29th is the plan!

@Wowthisisreal no change of plans for me, I'm hitting my mid thirty's so have no plans to vaccinate and wait, the risks are very low, even for pregnant women and babies and the vaccinations have to be done yearly anyway like the flu so you could wait 3 months and 7 months later it's out of date anyway! Cracking on as planned.

That's a solid thought process.

This month is the month! Was always planning to be now but with the last few months etc it's been a bit of a weird one. This will be #2 for us and it is so different in terms planning! I think we have both agreed we don't want to put our lives on hold any more and if we are still working from home for the foreseeable that's a huge bonus!

@Wowthisisreal Similar case here. I'm going to be so far down the queue that it makes no sense to wait. I'm quite low risk anyway as I'll be WFH for the foreseeable, same as DH. They may well undertake trials in pregnant ladies this year anyway. I'm expecting that it'll either be a yearly vaccine like the flu vaccine or it'll be combined into the flu vaccine. Either way it'd need testing in pregnant ladies if that was the case.

I'm well. Just making my way through my to-do list before Christmas. I had my repeat thyroid test done this morning. We're going for a Christmas walk with my MIL and her husband soon. Also got the Christmas food delivery coming and a literal mountain of laundry to sort through 🙈🙉

I'm enjoying the time off work though. I've been playing PC games during DSs naps and have just discovered 'Cougar town' which has had me in stitches 😄.

I've also lined up walks with 3 of my mummy friends over the next week or so but need to plan specific times and days.

Hoping to keep myself nice and busy until Wednesday next week 😄. Currently 1DPO according to apps, but I reckon 2DPO cause I reckon I ovulated the same day as my peak.

Sorry been mia again, work has been a joke so busy but I was off yesterday and off again today. Hoping tomorrow and Xmas Eve will be a bit nicer too.

I'm just so sad about the new tier changes, It all feels quite scary? I wasn't scared before at all but now I feel a bit like omg.. I might be watching the new too much.

In other news though how is everyone? @Curiosity101 you'll be testing soon? How exciting! Have you had any symptoms?

Nothing to update with me other than I can't stop eating! 😂 Jan is going to be healthy eating, no alcohol and getting out to exercise. 40 days till we start wooo!!

Update for me just finished cycle 4 with a BFN due on tomorrow so I’m pretty
Confident that the result is accurate. I feel okay about it tbh I tested 11 dpo and got a bfn and was gutted but got my head around it now.

I intend to defo enjoy the drinks on Christmas Day :) as AF will be here then onto dry January. Finally going to start opks and temping that I’ve been meaning to do for months so I can make sure I am even getting my timings right :)

In a way I am really glad AF is in time for Christmas as I’m in a really good mood :)

Onto cycle 5 we go :) x
