@Curiosity101 Feel fine this morning thank god. I think it might have just been the case of trapped wind (I have had this before too but LONG time ago!) I will keep an eye on it, and if it happens again might check in with a doc! And thanks for the reassurance RE the tests. I don't have any more FRER left so that was the last I could test anyway lol. Got 2 digis… gonna use one on Friday and one next Friday.

Curiosity101 · 16/12/2020 08:59

@CookieMonster3001 And to answer you question, yes I'm doing OPKs daily. I think EWCM might be starting today so it's all looking promising. We're definitely in 'go with the flow' mode. My libido gets super charged in the day or two before ovulation though so I'd imagine even without knowing when it is I'll probably be covered for my fertile window. Also today is my last day of work before Christmas. So plenty of time to get well rested and do some baby making 😊.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 16/12/2020 09:07

@CookieMonster3001 oh gosh that sounds scary! I hope you're feeling better today, make sure you rest up.
The lines look like they're getting darker to me though, I don't see any problem with them?

OP posts:
sunflowersaremyfav93 · 16/12/2020 09:08

@CookieMonster3001 isn't it crazy how pregnancy changes the body, and this is just the start of it. Are you getting plenty of nutrients?
Get well rested @Curiosity101 and then plenty of baby dancing!! You excited?

OP posts:
Curiosity101 · 16/12/2020 10:04

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Definitely more excited as the day gets closer. I still have the feeling of dread knowing how I felt in the first trimester and with everything else that happened. But equally I found myself resting my hand in my stomach last night as I was falling asleep and am looking forward to having a little bump there.

I'm trying to stay in the moment though as much as possible. Spending as much time with DS as possible and just generally enjoy each day as it comes.

CookieMonster3001 · 16/12/2020 10:59

@Curiosity101 ohh lucky you!! I am working until xmas eve! Boo and I have an assignment due in on xmas eve! That's gonna be fun!!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 im glad you both think the lines look OK! This is the problem when we know too much isn't it!! I think if I wasn't aware of sooo much, you would get a positive and that's it wouldn't worry about anything else! I am feeling much better now! Hopefully it was just a one off! Nutrient wise, I think I am OK! Still taking my omega 3, vit D and folic acid. Not sure if there is anything else I should be taking?

I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of you!! Cant wait for us to all see each others scan photos, bumps etc!!

wrensandrobins · 16/12/2020 16:09

So I me and OH have been busy this week, but ovulation is still missing in action, I expected to ovulate yesterday! we are starting to get a bit fatigued 🤣 and all my ovulation sticks are still pale! I really struggle with them as I know morning ones aren't ideal, but if I try to drink less during the day I just end up thirsty, or if I drink normally I end up really needing the loo and being too hydrated! Struggling with getting that balance right!

I genuinely cannot wait to ovulation now 🤣 even my partner is a bit like 'can we give it a break now'

We were doing it every other day, but now we are in the fertile zone we are doing twice a day. I feel a bit of extra pressure because jan and feb he is being sent away for work in our predicted fertile windows! So I want to make the most of this opportunity

Curiosity101 · 17/12/2020 08:10

@wrensandrobins That sounds pretty frustrating, especially given your OHs work schedule in the coming months. Fingers crossed ovulation happens sooner rather than later. I've still go no signs so starting to think Tuesday next week is a very real possibility.

@CookieMonster3001 Yes, very lucky to be finishing for Christmas so early. I'm looking forward to having time to get everything ready. Need to prep all the spare bedding, tidy, deep clean etc. It should keep me busy 😊

wrensandrobins · 17/12/2020 08:24

@Curiosity101 I know it's so frustrating to lose two months especially as I we are so ready now! Contemplating travelling down to his hotel for a night on the peak days 🤣

Fingers crossed for this month!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 17/12/2020 08:36

@curiosity1001 ah I’m excited for you!! Gosh I do that all the time too, holding my belly as I fall asleep. I do keep thinking how I won’t be exciting or let myself be too happy when I do eventually see two lines because of the uterus thing so I have mixed feelings.
So jealous you only have today and tomorrow left of work! I ended up booking off Monday and Tuesday purely because work has been hectic and I need the time to get in the Christmas spirit.

@cookiemonster3001 How are you? Have you don’t any more tests?
Gosh I can’t believe you have an assignment she Xmas Eve but will be such a good feeling once that’s in and you can enjoy your last Christmas before you become a Mummy. I think you’re ok with the vits? Some women take pregnacare pregnancy when they get the BFP might be worth looking into that? Ahhh I can’t wait either!!!

@wrensandrobins I’d be at his hotel on fertile days 😂😂😂 that’s frustrating but hopefully you fall before he goes and then you can have the bed to yourself 😂

Did anybody watch TOWIE last night? I don’t usually watch it but there was a pregnancy announcement and it was so emotional. I said to my bf I really hope this is our last Christmas just the three of us (me, him and our fur baby haha). I just keep having worries that I’m going to have multiple miscarriages but I need to not think like that.

AF is due tomorrow and omg if I have a pregnancy test here I’d be doing it now... my nipples are so so sore, I had a terrible headache last night and even had a nosebleed?! I have been stressed with work but the nosebleed was unexpected. I’m due tomorrow so will be interesting to see when I come on. We’ve been doing the withdraw method so it could be possible?! I doubt it but that would be nice haha.

OP posts:
sunflowersaremyfav93 · 17/12/2020 08:40

Haha went to the loo just after I hit send and AF has arrived... wishful thinking.
One period closer to TTC 🥳🥳🥳

OP posts:
wrensandrobins · 17/12/2020 08:46

Looking back at my opks do you think I have missed my peak again? One of the low ones is actually quite dark and I wonder if I should have done another that evening?

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
sunflowersaremyfav93 · 17/12/2020 09:35

@wrensandrobins yeah I'd def be doing a few a day to get a clearer picture

OP posts:
Curiosity101 · 17/12/2020 09:36

@wrensandrobins Haha, I think you should travel to his hotel anyway. Baby making or not, a cross country boot call sounds like fun Grin.

Looking at those OPKs I don't think you've missed your peak. What day do you normally peak? Was there anything different this month? Supplements, exercise, any illnesses etc?

@sunflowersaremyfav93 That's why I finished so early for Christmas this year. Had a really hectic time in the run up to Christmas. Monday night and Tuesday night I was up at midnight deploying code into production. I also had a presentation to a load of directors at the company I work at, not to mention I haven't actually finished Christmas prep yet!

DS has just gone down for a nap so I'm planning to go and wrap some presents Grin

I'm glad (sort of) that AF arrived for you! I'm sure you'll have mixed feelings when the time comes and you see your BFP. But in all honesty, I think a lot of people have mixed feelings. It's a big step and it can be pretty daunting. I massively freaked out when I got my BFP GrinGrinGrin

wrensandrobins · 17/12/2020 09:43

Well natural cycles says I will ovulate tomorrow cd17 but the last few months it's been 15 so I thought it would be a few days ago but these opks aren't saying either really are they?

Curiosity101 · 17/12/2020 09:46

Has there been anything unusual/different this month? Supplements, exercise, illness etc? I ovulated 5 days later than usual one month and I think it's cause I got a really horrible cold a few days before ovulation was due. I'd be surprised if you ovulate CD17 based on those OPKs. But 18 is still completely on the cards.

wrensandrobins · 17/12/2020 09:52

No nothing at all! I'm well, and haven't changed anything, still using the same supplements, weird, but never mind! Fingers crossed for soon!

CookieMonster3001 · 17/12/2020 10:03

Good Morning Ladies, how are we all doing today?

@wrenandrobins keep up the good work!! I always used to do all my OPKS in the morning to be honest! hopefully ovulation arrives soon for you! What CD are you on now? Wow twice a day is a lot! Don't know how you do it! Keeping my fingers crossed it happens for you this month before OH goes away for work. looking at your OPKs I dont think you have missed your peak, they all look a little too light.

@curiosity101 my countdown for finishing work has started haha only 6 days to go!! It terrifys me a little though as I have so much work to get through!! Luckily I am going to my mums for Christmas so dont need to worry about getting anything ready at home! I kinda just want to slob and watch xmas movies!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Not done anymore tests! Trying to ween myself off!! I have 2 Digis so planning on doing one tomorrow when I am officially a day late and then another digi next Weds/thurs. The bloody assignment is driving me mad though, this module I have no idea what I am on about so I am genuinely worried I am going to fail this one. Part of me just wants to get it out the way and hand it in too! I decided to pick up some new Vit D as I read high dosage ones aren't good, so picked up some lower dosage ones I can take daily instead. I am so excited for you to start trying soon!! Least AF has arrived and you can get it out the way!

Officially day I am due on AF and my god has the nausea hit me! All this morning I have been feeling so pukey and was gagging while brushing my teeth. I guess that means the fun officially begins?! OH still doesnt feel like this is real and he said he wants to guard his emotions. He has always been the type to never really be emotional and he always said to me he hates getting his hopes up. A cousin of mine recently had a miscarriage at 6 months, and I think that coupled with the fact that it took us longer than he was expecting (Think he thought he would be a one hit wonder) has got him nervous. He said he feels like he can relax more after the first 3 months and I don't blame him to be honest. Hopefully he can try and enjoy this pregnancy with me though.

Going to try and look into getting an early pregnancy scan because I am not sure if partners are allowed at the hospital for this yet? I dont want him to miss out on seeing the heartbeat for the first time, and I checked out local window to the womb and its only £80 so defo worth it.

wrensandrobins · 17/12/2020 10:50

@CookieMonster3001 did you see this yesterday? www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/health-55330549

CookieMonster3001 · 17/12/2020 11:31

@sunflowersaremyfav93 no I didnt thanks for sending that!! Thats really good news!!

Curiosity101 · 17/12/2020 12:08

@CookieMonster3001 Slobbing around watching Christmas movies sounds wonderful. If it were up to me that would be exactly what our Christmas looked like. I know everyone else would be massively disappointed though. 🙄

It's unusual to have nausea so early on so hopefully it'll ease off for a bit! Unless it's twins... 😁 Twin pregnancies often give symptoms earlier...

wrensandrobins · 18/12/2020 08:05

@CookieMonster3001 yes! Hopefully they implement it in the local nhs trusts! I really want my partner with me, I'm quite an anxious person I think it will help

CookieMonster3001 · 18/12/2020 08:48

Omg twins can you imagine!!! Dont feel so bad today (its most likely in my head!!) Got my digital confirmation as I am officially a day late for AF. Something much more comforting about seeing it on a digital for some reason!

@wrensandrobins I think they have as my OHs friends wife is 13 weeks preg and her hubby has gone to her appts with her. They just have to take covid tests before they can go with you.

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
wrensandrobins · 18/12/2020 08:59

My mum is a non identical twin which increases the odds of twins for me, combined with being over 30 and overweight which also increase the odds slightly. Although it's still only a small chance. I don't want twins, I can't imagine how we could afford it, plus the worry of how we would cope with two!

The good news is I'm sure I am going to ovulate in the next 24 hrs, still no positive opk, but loads of EWM and the dip I always get before ovulating with my BBT. No idea what's going on with the opks I must have been too hydrated or not at right time!

wrensandrobins · 18/12/2020 09:03

@CookieMonster3001 really good news mine isn't doing it yet but it's on the way after a quick google.
