Hello and welcome @NMH19 and @NatNoo96 I'm so sorry you both find yourselves here. I've found the experience of mc and trying to conceive quite lonely, despite having had wonderful support (my mc was in August at 5 weeks and was my first pregnancy). People quickly move on and stop asking you about it, I suppose with good intentions, but for me it's not like [first pregnancy] and then [second pregnancy] with nothing in between, I've been on a continuous cycle of being aware of what my body is doing ever since. And this thread has been a real lifeline 😊

NatNoo96 · 16/11/2020 09:33

@susiebluebell I know exactly what you mean! This site is the only place that I feel like I’m not alone in what I’m feeling. As much as everyone around me can try and help it hasn’t happened to them it’s happened to me.

anon0704 · 16/11/2020 12:22

I'm trying OPKs this month, so crossing fingers. Doing the SMEP too. A little worried as our m/c was a blighted ovum at 12 weeks, found on the 12-week ultrasound. I'm hoping with my anxiety, we'll be able to get an early scan even though this is my first m/c.

MgW1 · 16/11/2020 12:39

@anon0704
I know how you feel about being anxious and early scans. I found out at my scan , although i had re arranged it and found out at nearly 14 weeks that there was no heart beat - it measured 12 weeks. Getting pregnant is the first step , its the rest of the pregnancy which will make me anxious! When was your blighted ovum? Iv just done my first clear blue opk and got high fertility. Due to ovulate thurs / fri 🤞🏻 xxx

Hey, my BO was at the beginning of April, and then I thought it was done but ended up with a massive bleed at the beginning of May, so it was about three more weeks of bleeding after that.

We only really started trying again in July/August after taking some time to heal, so I'm only really coming up to cycle 5 of trying. Still immensely nervous and upset and stressed, but trying to keep myself calm cause I know stress isn't good for baby making. How can you not be stressed though?

MgW1 · 16/11/2020 13:24

@anon0704
Its impossible isnt it! It completely affects your fertility. I have friends who have been through similar and got pregnant quickly to begin with but then after mc its taken longer - maybe twice as long but have all got there in the end and had healthy children.
I have had bad hair and acne post miscarriage so i know its all stress related! We will get there 💪
I deffo want an early scan around 8 weeks. Only thing is il want my husband to come and if things are like they are i don't think he would be able to ao would get a private one done. Might even have 12 week privately as well. Aftwr what happened before i cant face a scan on my own again 😔 xx

anon0704 · 16/11/2020 13:31

No, I don't think I could face a scan on my own again.

Yeah, it was really fast the first time (only two cycles), so hopefully we're not far from getting pregnant again!

MgW1 · 16/11/2020 13:48

@anon0704
Hopefully 🤞🏻 same with me too. This is the 2nd month of trying. Im on CD 12 xx

Hey ladies, hope you dont mind me joining you! I am 7dpo as far as i know. Cant stand the 2ww... i only have one digital pregancy test at home, otherwise i would start testing early with an FRER from tomorrow onwards!
I remember with my first child i did take early tests and they were all negative. So i had 1 or 2 bottles of wine to myself. Found out 2 days later that i was pregnant.... well.
Lets hope i have patience this time round!

What symptoms are you currently experiencing?
I am bloated & constipated. More than usually during my cycle. Does that count?

HappyVibes · 16/11/2020 18:02

Aww that’s amazing @Bl0ndi3 congratulations Hope you start to enjoy and relax the rest of the pregnancy lovely x

Sallyjo27 · 16/11/2020 19:11

Hi ladies, hope your all okay?
I’m 9dpo and did a FRER this morning there was a faint line but the cheapie test (one step) was negative so I held my wee after lunch and did 2 tests when I got home... both a BFP. I’m scared to get excited as I’ve had 3 miscarriages this year so just taking each day as it comes x

Oh my gosh @Sallyjo27 they are for sure positive. How absolutely amazing is this. Oh my gosh, so happy for you lovely 💫 💓

MSG92 · 16/11/2020 19:41

@Bl0ndi3 that's amazing, so lovely to see!!!

@Sallyjo27 congrats! That's early to get a positive! So pleased for you.

@jasmin93 hold out! You can do it. I thought I was pregnant when I wasn't and wasn't when I was so I try to ignore symptoms in the TWW.

I am having such a hard time lately ladies, so after our BRILLIANT BFP last week, DH got the call that his 98yr old nana is on end of life care, 1 hr after that my dad went to hospital, we still don't know the cause after xrays, ct, bloods but 1 leg is double the size of the other and he hasn't slept for more than 4 hrs in about 5 days due to pain, can't walk etc. And DH got his covid test back yesterday... Positive! Anything else?! Struggling to stay positive here after all this

Furbsies · 16/11/2020 20:32

@msg92 chin up darling. You gotta keep positive and try your best to give your self a break. It is a hard time I understand that. I've had a bunch of hard news myself. Almost feel like I should just give up next cycle and start again in 2021 but then realise every cycle is important. What if this is the cycle that I ovulate and end up missing the window. But yea keep your chin up and concentrate on the little bean. Xx

MSG92 · 16/11/2020 20:36

Thanks @Furbsies, it's hard isn't it. Hardest part is DH can't go and say goodbye because he's got covid. She wants her family but doesn't understand why people can't come, so sad.

Yes every cycle is important, and it's coming for you, it will be my Christmas wish that you get your BFP, you so deserve it X

HappyVibes · 16/11/2020 20:44

Aww @MSG92 that’s so sad but just remember you have your BFP and that’s so magical and you are so blessed for that.

@Furbsies it’s a tough balance but of course every cycle is our chance.

I’ve just received my hospital bloods and scan results through the post (I requested them posted before my telephone appt with consultant, as cba waiting to know anything for another 72962637 weeks).

I’ve definitely got PCOS - this is fine with me now I accepted this a while back & have been eating and living as though I deffo have it already so feel like this is manageable for us for sure.

The bloods I haven’t got the foggiest idea what they all mean so I shall leave that for the consultant to explain and interpret to us ha.

Unless anyone is a whizz? Hahaha

💓💫

Runnergirl1 · 16/11/2020 21:35

@Bl0ndi3 amazing scan pic congratulations

@Sallyjo27 congratulations def a positive. Everything crossed for you

@MSG92 so sorry to hear all this is going on. Sending lots of hugs your way x

2020wish · 17/11/2020 00:09

@Bl0ndi3 congrats!!! Beautiful scan pic!!

@Sallyjo27 yes deffo a BFP!! Are u taking anything, like aspirin?

I’ve had 3 losses this year and started 150mg aspirin daily just before my BFP and had my 20 week scan today. Although nearly 22 weeks . Face on shot

Overlyanxious · 17/11/2020 08:30

Hi all, congratulations to all of you who have had bfps.

I had a question - have any of you found your periods are more painful and heavier since your miscarriage. I’ve had three periods now since my miscarriage and they are a lot worse then before.

Also for those with a bfp is there anything you did differently the month you got a bfp? I just saw the message about aspirin, but wondering if there’s anything else

anon0704 · 17/11/2020 08:50

@Overlyanxious

My periods have changed completely since my m/c. It's much heavier for the first three days and then lightens for the next three to four days.

MgW1 · 17/11/2020 08:52

@Overlyanxious
Yes me too. Had 4 heavy and crampy. I usual get cramps around ovulation and afterwards. I feel like i am suffering cramps through the whole month! Im tracking bbt and doing cb opks to make sure i am ovulating and then il see what my next period is like and if the same - im going to speak to.GP. i really should have had a d&c becauae I was 14 weeks and because of covid they wanted me wait. Everything seemed to come away but i dont know whether there is something left causing excessive bleeding so will ask for a scan if same at next period. Iv mentioned it to doc before who felt 2 months ago was more likely to be hormonal but after 4 months and a regular cycle ... im not so sure now? What is yours like? Xx

Overlyanxious · 17/11/2020 09:58

@MgW1 I have two days of really bad cramps and lots of bleeding and then two fairly normal days. It really drains me and I feel quite unwell. When I spoke to my dr she wasn’t that worried and just prescribed Mefenamic acid to help. I may go back to the Dr to check though.

HappyVibes · 17/11/2020 13:54

@2020wish out of interest lovely what results was it that indicated the need for aspirin? Xxx
