@griff2019
I could do with a scan too. I have had nothing but cramps and every period iv had has been heavy. X

Runnergirl1 · 14/11/2020 22:13

@griff2019 I’m with you on this one. It’s awful feeling like this.

@Bellabubble sorry again. It’s such an awful time and to be backwards and forwards with it all. Hope you have lots of support around you and good you have a plan x

RichmondLady1981 · 15/11/2020 07:59

@griff2019 morning. It’s sensible to go at 7 weeks as they can see so much more at that point. I know it’s so hard but so many more of your questions can be answered at the seven week stage. If you went earlier, you’d end up going back just after 7 weeks to see the heartbeat (sometimes not possible to see as late as 6/6.5 weeks).

MoMof4xx · 15/11/2020 08:50

@griff2019 morning, I completely understand how u feel. I've booked a scan for just after 7 weeks, 1st Dec. With my miscarriage it was a missed miscarriage so all the symptoms and all seemed OK but no heartbeat. I agree that waiting until 7 weeks is best because they will see the fetal pole then and a heartbeat, before... it may be too early. Could end up making u more anxious. Xx

HappyVibes · 15/11/2020 08:54

@Bellabubble so sorry lovely. It’s no an easy experience as is, but you’ve been through the mill with this bless you.

I would be tempted to still ask for a fertility referral and fertility investigations. I too can get pregnant but it’s the recurrent MC that’s being investigated which is giving me a lot of reassurance.

I’m all good thank you @MgW1 I’ve started round two clomid now so fingers crossed it works again for us 😊

Xxxx

MSG92 · 15/11/2020 09:11

@MoMof4 and @griff2019 are you havung abdominal scans? I'm looking to book a private one at about 8 weeks just because of last time I'm nervous and would feel better if I can see the bean before 12 weeks scan.

MgW1 · 15/11/2020 09:21

@griff2019
Sorry got confused with what sort of scan your having! I havent conceived yet. Just concerned things arent right post mc. So many of you on here at different stages - hard to keep up 🙈!! Xx

MoMof4xx · 15/11/2020 09:43

@MSG92 im going to meet my miracle as its the nearest one to me. They only offer abdominal scans. Thats why I've booked it just after im 7 weeks gone as if youre before 7 weeks they say, you may not see anything.
Completely understand you wanting to book a scan before 12 weeks, go for it :) xx

I hope you don’t mind me joining? I have been hoping to find some in a similar position to myself as feel quite isolated currently. I had a early miscarriage at the beginning of November at only 5 weeks. We had only been trying for 1 month and I fell pregnant straight away and we were over the moon then obviously absolutely devastated when I miscarried. After my blood test this Wednesday to confirm hcg is back at 0 (it was only at 300 the first week and had dropped to 27 by last week so I’m pretty confident it should be back at 0 by Wednesday) we are looking to start trying again straight away. I feel so anxious it will happen again but I want a baby now more than anything. Would love to join this thread and hopefully have a happy journey this time with you all

NatNoo96 · 15/11/2020 10:44

Sorry for the essay ! 🙈

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 11:32

@NatNoo96 welcome to the group! I'm really sorry to hear about your loss but you are in good company in here with people who understand what you are going through. I also miscarried at 5 weeks last month and it is devastating. We had been trying for 14 months with no luck so finally thought we had got there!

Bellabubble · 15/11/2020 12:06

@Runnergirl1 thank you. I’m doing ok - well I have come to terms with the fact that it’s another mc, but the waiting for things to happen is really anxiety inducing! I’m at that stage now where I want to go..ok..it happened, wasn’t great, but we can start again - you feel like your heading in the right direction then! We’re also due observations at school the week after next and for the first time ever I feel like it will be what tips me over the edge! I’m normally pretty chill about observations too!

@HappyVibes I think from what the lady that did my scan was saying (she is also a midwife - so I lucked out to get a private scan with a trained midwife!) when Dr’s test for fertility, it is to check you can fall pregnant, but it doesn’t check some of the key things that can be an issue for recurrent miscarriages, and they only check these after 3 in a row. Luckily both scans (from previous mc and this one) showed that I had no blockages/cysts etc and my uterus was the correct shape (apparently shape can be an issue in recurrent mc too) but the cd3 and 21 bloods don’t check vit D, B12 or sticky blood syndrome (APS). I just need to check they did my thyroid bloods when they took my cd21 bloods - as thyroid problems is another one linked to recurrent mc. After that we’re getting into the realms of just pure bad luck, or oh and I don’t match genetically..but apparently that is actually quite rare, and even then they can do things to help with that! I know it sounds bad, but I just want to be able to get back to trying again so I feel like I’m doing something instead of waiting! x

HappyVibes · 15/11/2020 12:18

@Bellabubble hopefully they will be able to share some advice sooner rather than later with you re steps forward of how to progress. It doesn’t sound bad at all re wanting to try again, I fully feel ya on that front!

Oh I see, sorry I misunderstood, I meant to go through all of them testings - that’s exactly what I’ve just had, so so many different type of bloods and scans etc. It’s good that you know which ones you need now so definitely ask for those even if it’s just for piece of mind.

💓💫

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 15:11

Ladies can I use your line eyes?! This is an IC from this afternoon at 9dpo. I did a frer this morning (crazy early for testing I know!) which to me didn't even have a squinter but I'm doubting myself now! 🙈. Thanks!

@SS123456 I can’t see anything on the frer but maybe something on the ic 🤞🏻 X

HappyVibes · 15/11/2020 15:42

@SS123456 I can definitely see a line on the strip one. I can’t see anything on the FRER, but definitely on the strip one I can see something. What’s the strip one? I would retest with an FRER on Tuesday xxxx

MSG92 · 15/11/2020 15:54

@SS123456 I can see it on the strip maybe but not the FRER. But use FMU if you are going to test early. Fingers crossed for you.

@Furbsies did AF arrive or are you still in the game?

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 15:57

Thanks ladies, I don't see anything on the frer either. I took the pic of the IC quite a while after I did the test though so it's possibly an evap line. I guess a frer in the next few days will tell me for sure. Last months bfp I didn't get anything on any tests until 12dpo so still early days 🤞🏻

SS123456 · 15/11/2020 15:58

@HappyVibes thank you! The strip one is just a femometer brand cheapy

Furbsies · 15/11/2020 16:42

@msg92 hey haven't updated in a while. AF arrived. So out for this cycle. Scan showed a large cyst on my right ovary, I guess that's the cause of the pain.

Other than that. Its going okay. Trying a new make of inositol this cycle.

MSG92 · 15/11/2020 16:44

@Furbsies sorry about that :/ now you have a cause for the pain so that's good news, always good to have answers.

Good luck with next cycle! Fingers crossed for you and i hope you are doing ok

NMH19 · 15/11/2020 16:48

Hi ladies

Firstly I’m so sorry for all of your losses, I hope you don’t mind me joining as this has been a very isolating and long journey.

I’m coming out to a year of ttc and have had 2 losses around the same gestation, 5-6weeks. Where I am from unless you have heavy bleeding or require hospital treatment they do nothing to after a 3rd loss. So I’ve never had blood tests or a scan and sometimes I wonder was I dreaming and all I have are pictures of my clear blue digital tests.
My last loss was 10 July. I hope you don’t mind me joining. I have got some comfort from knowing I’m not alone when I read your posts.❤️Xx

HappyVibes · 15/11/2020 17:36

Hi @NMH19 sorry for your losses. If you are in the UK, the NHS do allow for testing after 1 year of TTC, I’m not sure if where you are from is under the NHS. If it is, if you to your GP they should be able to refer you to gynae to start the testing xxxx

NMH19 · 15/11/2020 17:44

@HappyVibes I’ll wait to the end of this cycle and if nothing 100% will contact my GP. Thank you xx

Bellabubble · 15/11/2020 18:45

@NMH19 I’m at a similar stage to you! Coming up to a year ttc, and 2 miscarriages. I was lucky and had a Dr get the ball rolling for fertiltiy tests, but there’s different tests they will do for recurrent miscarriages and they only do them after 3 in a row because apparently 2 in a row can still be just “bad luck” which I think is just plain crazy!! I’m attempting to see if my Dr will do some of the blood test for recurrent miscarriages early for me, I’m going to play the age card!
