Argh that’s so annoying @TheDaydreamBelievers are you supposed to ring them or what did they advise?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/12/2020 10:45

@PumpkinEverything I will probably leave it until after xmas and see what happens. They wont do anything over xmas anyways. Might just be taking a while to wind it's way down

bez91 · 21/12/2020 11:40

@TheDaydreamBelievers ahh that's annoying, if it's faint like you say it's just probably taking some time to work out of your system.

Totally get the pain over Christmas too @bubblybrit and @elsimo 💕 my 12 week scan should have been a couple of weeks ago, our DD (3) tells us almost daily for about 18 months she wants a baby brother or sister and we were going to tell her Christmas Day, she'd have been so so excited. Love to everyone

Garman · 21/12/2020 12:54

@bez91 I was going to tell my son who's 5.5 and always asking for dc3 tomorrow afternoon when he finished school, and now I can't even progress with whatever treatment might be needed because of the time of year, such crap!

Bellabubble · 21/12/2020 16:37

Hi ladies a I’ve been silent for a while - craweld past the finish post at school and got a delightful head cold so feeling very gross!! Does anyone have any advice for what to expect AF wise post surgical management?

I’m 4 weeks post surgical management today - and have been spotting very lightly since Thursday eve (never used to happen before I had my first mc in Feb but now seems to be my new pre-af thing!) but it normally gets heavier each day - it hasn’t really, today is the “heaviest”, but still no where near filling a pad, almost like you get at the tail end of AF really. I don’t know if this is going to be it for this month - and if so what day I should class as cd1..which I want to get right so I can track ovulation as accurately as possible next month! Last time because things happened naturally, I got AF and although it was shorter than normal, it aas definitely full flow. I’m also wondering whether it is possible that I had an anovulatory cycle so it isn’t a proper bleed - especially as I have had none of my AF symptoms. Sorry for such a long post lol! I hope everyone is doing as well as they can be in the current climate - sending positive thoughts to you all xx

M4v3r1ck · 21/12/2020 17:04

Hey ladies, completely relate to these feelings. We thought the scan getting brought forward would mean an early Christmas present/surprise for our families! 😔

However, thank you again for sharing your experiences. This group has been so helpful for me these past few days, especially in terms of what happens after etc! 😘 I'm sorry you've all experienced this, but I can't thank you all enough either! 😘

I've been experiencing what is like a light-medium period with some clots. Not looking forward to Wednesday. However, DH and I have decided to just be us two for Christmas this year, and have takeaway, party food, and Netflix all day! Just building in "small things to look forward to"! 😍

Sending much love and positive thoughts to you all! 😘 Remember to give yourselves some extra TLC and treats this Christmas! 😘

MgW1 · 21/12/2020 17:09

@Bellabubble
I imagine it could be a bit lighter if you have had a d&c but sometimes you dont ovulate 1st cycle post mc. If you didnt ovulate it could be heavier than usual. If your off work now then it will be easier for you at least , if its heavier. Take care. X

PumpkinEverything · 21/12/2020 17:17

Similar plans to us @M4v3r1ck 😊 although we’re currently allowed to still go to my mums for Christmas dinner so looking forward to that. Other than that; all our usual plans are out the window so it’ll be a lot of time with just us two, and I’m going to m&s this week to hopefully get us some nice party food and snacks 😁 and catch up with the drinking I’ve missed out on since September 🙈

Garman · 21/12/2020 20:03

I'm cooking Christmas Dinner for the first time so the prep involved in replicating all my mums food is really keeping me busy and distracted, as well as my 2 dc who are now finished school and creche! I'm looking forward to the 25th but I'm even more looking forward to getting to go home to where I'm from and spend a week in my mum's with my dc, and see my relatives briefly from a distance or for trips to a beach. So badly needed.

Only 10 days left of 2020 if that cheers anyone up!

susiebluebell · 21/12/2020 20:17

I'm enjoying reading about everyone's Christmas plans! We're in Cornwall so going to have a small family Christmas with his mum and sis, and her DH and DC1. She's due her second baby on Christmas AND that's when I'm due to ovulate 😅 So lots of fun and chaos, and maybe a slightly chaotic Christmas will be just what I need. I'm reeeeeally hoping we will conceive this Christmas and so far feeling dead good about it 💕 Thinking of you all x

elsimo · 21/12/2020 21:38

@Bellabubble i'm 4 weeks post surgical management and have just started spotting very lightly too xx

PumpkinEverything · 22/12/2020 00:47

@Bellabubble @elsimo can I ask when you both stopped bleeding/spotting after surgerical management? It’ll be two weeks for me tomorrow and I thought it was mostly tailing off instead light brown on wiping but then got a pretty big gush today! Seemed quite red/dark red with a few small clots and then turned brown again.

elsimo · 22/12/2020 06:57

@PumpkinEverything hey :) I barely bled at all after, couple of days of brown wiping and that was it xx

VP91x · 22/12/2020 07:12

Hi All,

Hope everyone is OK?

I know this thread is coming to an end soon, could someone please take over when it's time to create the new thread.

Update from me - still on this long road of TTC, no good news I'm afraid.

Sending you all the best of luck xxxx

familybythesea · 22/12/2020 09:16

@Bellabubble I had a light period after my D&C at the normal time, but then the next two periods were VERY heavy - I ended up on iron tablets abs clotting medication as a result. But then things settled down again. I think everyone is different though, and hope you’re back to normal quickly. Hope you’re doing ok x

@susiebluebell I’m in Cornwall too :) Good luck this cycle! X

susiebluebell · 22/12/2020 10:00

@familybythesea Cool! Hello from close by!

@VP91x Good to see you although wish it was with better news. We'll sort a new thread in the next few days x

Bellabubble · 22/12/2020 10:35

@PumpkinEverything i had about 5 days of light bleeding - more fresh blood I think, it was mkre red than brown. Then it just stopped and I had nothing else. I have read on these previous threads that others have bled longer and heavier, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it though! I was told if I had heavy bleeding for more than a week to contact EPU - but anythj g else would be fine x

@familybythesea thank you! It seems to have picked up in flow a bit more now which gives me a bit more comfort! I just want to get to my fertile week again now! I feel like I wish my life away whilst ttc! How are you doing? x

PumpkinEverything · 22/12/2020 10:43

Thanks @Bellabubble @elsimo so hard to figure it all out since everyone is so different! 🙈

@bez91 @TheDaydreamBelievers still definitely a line on my PT this morning. It’s faded from last week, but it’s also very clearly there and not a squinter at all 🤦‍♀️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/12/2020 10:49

@PumpkinEverything did your EPU say to call them if that happens? I've decided to give it another week to see

Bellabubble · 22/12/2020 11:12

@PumpkinEverything I still had an obvious line on pt at 2 weeks - and I had a squinter at 2.5weeks x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/12/2020 11:27

@Bellabubble @PumpkinEverything I'm a squinted at 3 weeks so hoping at 4 itll be gone gone gone

PumpkinEverything · 22/12/2020 11:36

Yep they did @TheDaydreamBelievers so I just rang there and they’re going to see if the results from the ‘remains’ (don’t know how to word that!) are back in so they can check to see if there was anything that would suggest anything was wrong.
While typing this they rang back! The nurse didn’t sound 100% sure on what she was reading but she said everything appears to have come back as normal from whatever testing they done. She told me to do another test in a week and if it’s positive I’ve to ring back, or if anything changes and I feel unwell or have heavy bleeding then I’ve to ring back or go to a&e. She just said it takes some women a bit longer.

@Bellabubble that’s reassuring! Did you test everyday or every few days? Have just order another box of ovulation and pregnancy tests from Amazon since I know deliveries are being put on hold because of covid 🙈 I do have some left, but I don’t think I’ll have enough to do me next month as well.

Bellabubble · 22/12/2020 11:37

@TheDaydreamBelievers I got a squinter on a Thursday, then ovulated 2 Sunday’s after according to my bbt - so it’s still possible to ovulate of you get a squinter and you feel ready/are hoping to try again straight away!

OH and I half baked the trying this time, mostly because I was feeling so tired but also, as much as we want to fall pregnant again, it felt deflating to be back at stage 1l! Now I have af I’m feeling more positive at being able to pin point things etc over the next few months🤞🏻

Bellabubble · 22/12/2020 11:50

@PumpkinEverything i did one at 2 weeks - then the Thurs of that week (which was 3 days after the one at 2 weeks because I got impatient lol!) but I was prompted to take that one as I got some really intense headaches which I thought could be hormones dropping - the difference in those 3 days was a lot! I went from an obvious line to a real squinter!

PumpkinEverything · 22/12/2020 12:00

That’s so crazy @Bellabubble I didn’t think they’d change so quick! I actually had quite a sore head on Friday now that you mention it, so wonder if that’s when my hormones have started decreasing. Will maybe do another test at the weekend and see what it says, not in 3 days time though as that’s Christmas Day (!!! Crazy) and I don’t want to depress myself 😂 do you think then it took you 4 weeks to ovulate roughly after your surgical management?
