@Sallyjo27 so sorry to hear this lovely, bless you so much 💓We too have had all our tests etc and all came back well, however because of the reoccurring losses, the gynaecologist was very forthcoming with the suggestion of aspirin 150mg per day (even though my blood were fine and not clotting), progesterone pessaries until week 13 of next pregnancy & also a significantly higher dosage of folic acid (5mg)! She was amazing and we are so completely reassured. Hopefully this supports you with your medical appointments and moving forward as this was NHS & I didn’t ask for it, she was forthcoming with this info xxxx

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 20:55

@Sallyjo27
I missed that your under a specialist. Im really sorry that it has happened again for you. I hope this doesnt sound cold but do you think there would be an option for you to have a d&c so they can then analyse the pregnancy to see what has happened ? Other than that I can't think of any other tests, iv heard that they prescribe aspirin and hormone medication or metformin with recurrent losses but dont know where your at with that , take care of yourself xxx

Sallyjo27 · 18/12/2020 21:46

@HappyVibes @MgW1 I was taking 75mg of aspirin and 2x400mg of cyclogest and 5mg of folic acid- (due to my bmi too) day but that obviously didn’t work this time, (although I’ve heard 100s of success stories from taking them)
I had a sort of d&c last time and the hospital sent the wrong “tissue” off. Ridiculous I know! So I haven’t got much faith in my local hospital. I’m going to book another appointment with my private consultant for after Christmas and ask for more tests. Getting fed up with being told everything is normal from the tests when clearly it’s not after 4 miscarriages there must be a reason xxx

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 21:52

@Sallyjo27
Yes there must be , I hope they get to the bottom of it soon for you. I have had 2 recurrent now so far now but I do have 2 children. Anxious to try again just yet , taking a bit of a break xx

elsimo · 18/12/2020 22:12

Just catching up, sorry to hear sad news :(

So I am 9dpo (going by clear blue peak) I'm super duper hormonal, so grumpy! I've been having crazy dreams and I'm also cramping n a but uncomfortable tonight like my period might come!
I'm feeling like this is the longest tww ever as my periods were always bang on 28 days but since this is the first one since my mc i'm not sure when it will arrive.

I'm just gutted to be back in this position of waiting every month :(

HappyVibes · 18/12/2020 22:57

@Sallyjo27 oh sorry lovely I didn’t see the bit where you said you were already on meds. If you’ve already had the ultrasound/transvaginal scan & all the blood work, and all being clear...I am really unsure what else testing wise there would be to request. Perhaps book another appt and ask about any alternate medications that may be supportive, or perhaps an increase in any of the current meds, I’m not sure lovely. Please keep me updated. We too have had four losses, it’s very hard to stay optimistic but we will keep being strong and determined to get to our end goal won’t we. Sending you lots of hope and strong wishes lovely lady💫💓

Bellabubble · 18/12/2020 23:30

@Sallyjo27 I’m so sorry to hear your news :( when I had my private scan, the lady there was an ex-midwife, and she said low vitamin D and low vitamin B12 had bren linked to recurrent mc - have you had those checked? I’m sadly unable to eat dairy - and only like chicken - so have started taking vitamjn b12 supplements just in case!

I’m on cd26 today - counting my surgical management as cd1. Natiral cycles said I ovulated last Thurs (a week after I got a vvvvvvv feint negative) although my temp never rose until Monday morn (I normally spike the day after ovulation) so not sire of my body is a bit all over the place still. But weirdly - yesterday and today I have had very light pink spotting when I wipe..which post mc has always signalled af - so it seems like she is due in a few days, I didn’t expect af to be so soon after a d&c!

HappyVibes · 18/12/2020 23:49

@Bellabubble that’s interesting here b12 and vitamin d. Please may I ask what dosage you are taken of both? I forgot to ask my gynae the recommended dosage of vitamin d & I’m kicking myself now. But I am not currently taking any B12 vitamins, although I eat quite a higher level of meat so presume (although may be wrong) that I may get enough from my diet xx

SS123456 · 19/12/2020 06:02

Has anyone had a super early scan? I was prescribed progesterone and aspirin yesterday due to a previous early loss and the clinic want me to go for a scan on Monday when I believe I'll be 4 and a half weeks. Is that normal? Is it not too early to see anything? I'm worried we'll see nothing and I'll be left freaking out ahead of a second scan

NI101 · 19/12/2020 09:12

@elsimo hey lovely. Hope are you doing ok. Like you, this is my first cycle post MC and I’m getting all the usual pregnancy symptoms I have had in the past. My normal cycle is also bang on 28days which will make AFs arrival just before xmas. Supposedly a cycle post MC can be anywhere between 4-6weeks. So I dont want to test until 6 weeks are over so Im clear that AF wont be arriving just to help manage expectations.

In the meantime, make sure you look after yourself, have you vitamins, lots of water and get some fresh air!

Sending you lots of love xx

susiebluebell · 19/12/2020 11:17

@Bellabubble If it's AF as you suspect, isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies adapt and adjust? My first AF after miscarrying was bang on time. I was disappointed (hoped to get pg again straight away) but also kind of in awe at my body!

@elsimo I know what you mean about being in this position of waiting again 💕 Hope something happens soon, and whether it's AF or a bfp, you know your body is healthy and working! Xx

@Hopingformyrainbow How are you doing today? Xx

Hopingformyrainbow · 19/12/2020 11:36

@susiebluebell thank you for asking. I’m not great. I just checked a prescription that I picked up for thyroid medication yesterday and they’ve given me the wrong thing. I’ve just had to call 111 and get an emergency prescription sorted so that I’ll have enough over christmas. You couldn’t write this.

I’m still not bleeding at all. So I’m just trying to get to Monday to get it diagnosed and sorted.

elsimo · 19/12/2020 12:33

@NI101 we must be pretty much on the same time line as my AF is due on 21st.....I think i'll test 22/23rd before I have a xmas drink.

Thanks @Bellabubble

Xxx

elsimo · 19/12/2020 12:33

Wrong tag!
Thanks @susiebluebell

Bellabubble · 19/12/2020 13:59

@susiebluebell it is! Even last time I only had a 31 day cycle - and I range from 27 to 29 so it was only 2 days later! For me though - as much as I’d love to catch straight after a mc - I think it shows my body would be pretty much unable too - as there’s not enough time between the later ovulation and af for a decent implantation to take place! On a plus - my coQ10 can get to work a bit more on my eggs lol!

Bellabubble · 19/12/2020 14:10

Also - does anyone know when to count pale pink spotting as cd1? Previously my spotting has been darker - this is pale so I guess newer, and is a bit heavier today, but still not full af I’m used to. Not sure if the surgical management of mc will make things different this time!

PumpkinEverything · 19/12/2020 14:25

Does anyone know if there’s any chance of my cycle sorting itself out because of my MMC? 🙈 I was on the pill up until February of this year, and after coming off it my cycle had been 34-45 days, and i was on the pill for so long I don’t remember what it was like before that. Finding it hard to know whether it was irregular because of the pill or because that’s what my cycle is supposed to be. Have been wondering whether I should ring the doctor and mention this if they’ll just think I’m worrying because of a miscarriage (which I am) and not actually do anything.

susiebluebell · 19/12/2020 17:39

@Bellabubble sounds about right re time to implant.
I wouldn't have thought spotting counts as cd1? Usually it's when it becomes a proper flow. The others might have more input x

@Hopingformyrainbow God I'm so sorry you're having this runaround when you least need it! Really hope you get that emergency prescription and can have a settled Christmas xxx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/12/2020 21:20

@PumpkinEverything they wont tell you its cause of MC, they'll tell you they can be abnormal coming off the pill. My first cycle off pill was 141 days and cycle 2 (the one where I conceived) I didnt ovulate until CD33. I'm on another group of ladies trying to conceive after the pill, and theres lots of whacky cycles. Like you, I'm hoping MC and the extra time off pill actually means it will be more normal

Bellabubble · 19/12/2020 22:30

@HappyVibes I’m taking one that is 500mcg - apparently people can take up to 2.4mcg, but it’s not easily absorbed by the body so even if you rake more your body won’t absorb it all. It’s water soluble too so what you don’t need will come out in your wee. I figured it was worth a shot as I’m dairy free and don’t eat much meat (basically just chicken lol) I did think it was potentially a waste of money if I wasn’t actually B12 deficient, but they don’t cost too much..and I’ve definitely spent more on stuff during this ttc journey so figured I’d just go for it lol

PumpkinEverything · 19/12/2020 23:47

I was in that group as well @TheDaydreamBelievers I thought I recognised your name from another group as well as the June babies one! I didn’t ovulate until around the same sort of time as you when I fell pregnant, but didn’t have any cycles as long as your first one! I’m really hoping that the pregnancy has balanced our hormones out to get us into a regular cycle, but not sure how it works. Just sucks having a longer cycle as it means you’ve even longer to wait to ovulate each time and gives fewer chances in the year.

Garman · 20/12/2020 07:37

Morning everyone. Has anyone here taken Misoprostol and it not worked, or kicked in 2-3 days later like some things I've read? I will be devastated if I have to have a D&C and have no idea when I could even manage it with no childcare, but I took the pills two days ago and nothing has happened 😭

Sallyjo27 · 20/12/2020 08:26

@Garman I’m so sorry this has happened to you. I was in exactly the same position as you and the EPU wanted me to wait a week before having another dose. I started bleeding 5 days after taking it and the next day I was in agony with cramps and uncontrollable bleeding so ended up in a&e because the pregnancy had got stuck in my cervix although I am sure this is rare!. Give your hospital a ring tomorrow and let them know and hopefully they will be able to give you more medication xx

Garman · 20/12/2020 08:56

Hi @Sallyjo27, thanks for your reply. God I really hope it doesn't start up 4/5 days from now, what a terrible way that would be to spend Christmas, and I'm cooking!

I've passed everything weeks ago but the endometrial lining is 2mm thicker than they'd like, so hopefully it won't be too painful or traumatic, I took them when I had childcare for the day but this week it's just me here until 8pm every day so I'm dreading being in agony while trying to do that. But at the same time I just want it over.

I'll have to call them but will have to go through the same thing again with them of explaining I can't come in for scan/D&C etc in the next 2 weeks, they think I'm being difficult, no empathy at all from them 😑 Thank you x

susiebluebell · 20/12/2020 10:33

@Garman What would happen if you decided to leave it till after Christmas? Would it be dangerous? Xx
