Haha I know but anything that helps keep us sane is worth a try!
Here's me saying I think i've already ovulated and missed it but actually I only got a negative test on Friday......so maybe not! Who knows 🤷‍♀️

Mustkeepgoing2 · 07/12/2020 12:12

@elsimo, sorry for what you are going through.

I have become a bit of a backseat expert on this topic because of being in the situation far to many times this year. The hanging around for a negative test and your cycle to resume is such a cruel torture. A real no mans land where technically you are still pregnant but without any of the excitement coupled with so much heartache.

From my reading/understanding you can ovulate prior to a negative test. The reason being is that ovulation stops when your HCG is rising not when it is falling and decreasing.

I actually ovulated when I still had a blood test reading of 21 HCG. It was previously in the thousands so whilst it was still present because of its sharp decline over the 2 weeks after my MMC my body already knew I was not pregnant even with some HCG still in my system so my body was gearing up for the next release cycle and ovulated before my negative.

Hope that helps/ makes sense xxx

elsimo · 07/12/2020 12:15

@Mustkeepgoing2 thanks :)

Sorry u are an expert in this tho 😩
So I techinically could have ovulated. Oh well I will keep dtd this week and testing anyway and see what happens.
My period would be due 21st Dec so if it doesn't arrive i'll do a test on xmas eve before I have a couple of drinks xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/12/2020 12:15

@Mustkeepgoing2 that's really helpful info, thank you xx

Hanbanxx · 07/12/2020 13:39

Could I please ask when everyone ovulated following their MC? Xx

SS123456 · 07/12/2020 13:59

@Hanbanxx I mc'd at 5 weeks and 19 days from the first bleeding I ovulated again

TTCbabytattie · 07/12/2020 14:25

@Hanbanxx I honestly have no idea. I MC'd at the beginning of April, and only started OPKs this month.

J785948 · 07/12/2020 14:45

@TheDaydreamBelievers yep I completely agree, everyone deals with it in different ways. Our sex life has still been affected by all of this though, whilst my DH is ok with the pressure, I know he doesn't really enjoy it! We just have to keep telling ourselves it is just because of what we are going through and will only be temporary.

I haven't had surgery for either MC (one natural and one with medical intervention) but was told we could dtd after bleeding had stopped. We held off a cycle to ttc again after first miscarriage but have cracked on straight away this time.

@elsimo - so far they have been better for me than the CB. Although I find my surge suddenly increases rather than a gradual increase. Let me know how you get on!

@Hanbanxx I agree, it takes up a large part of my day worrying and stressing about it. I think everyone is in the same boat. I feel ok about evryrhing atm, but I think I will start to struggle again come the endish of December as it is when our first pregnancy would have been due :(

Mustkeepgoing2 · 07/12/2020 14:46

Has anyone had a HyCoSy? I have one next week. Did you take pain relief if so. Feeling a bit nervous about it but hoping my tubes are clear and it will give them a good flush!

SS123456 · 07/12/2020 15:40

@Mustkeepgoing2 I will be having one in a few weeks and feeling worried about it too!

chloedancer897 · 07/12/2020 15:52

@Mustkeepgoing2 I've had one. It was uncomfortable but not painful. It wasn't sore once it was over. Good luck x

Hopefulmummie · 07/12/2020 15:52

Hi everyone. Wondering can I join. I had a miscarriage last week at 8 weeks. All happened naturally and I am still bleeding. Wondering can you TTC again before your next AF and when would I ovulated?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/12/2020 16:02

@Hopefulmummie unfortunately next ovulation can be super hard to predict.

The medics for me told me best to wait until after a period, simply because otherwise its v hard to tell if a positive test means theres stuff retained from previous pregnancy (which may require medical help) or if this is a new pregnancy. Another option would be to make sure you have a run of negative pregnancy tests before trying agaib

HappyVibes · 07/12/2020 16:20

@chloedancer897 hun you’re back commenting. Yay. How are you doing my lovely? I’ve been thinking about you. 💓xx

HappyVibes · 07/12/2020 16:22

Welcome to all the new ladies...so many lately. Which is very sad to see, but looks as though you’re all already making the most of such a fab support network.

Have we any testers soon? Anyone in their TWW?

This is the exciting bit of our very difficult journeys xxxx

Hanbanxx · 07/12/2020 16:29

@SS123456 thanks so much for your reply. How long did your bleeding last? Mine was very heavy and painful during the actual MC but only lasted three days after that x

bez91 · 07/12/2020 16:30

@TheDaydreamBelievers hello from the other thread 👋 all I was told re sex was when bleeding stops. I wanted to this weekend as I thought my bleeding had stopped but it came back yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Hanbanxx I had my first MC in September and ovulated exactly 3 weeks after the start of the miscarriage. I wasn't expected for it to be so quick although It ended in another MC so I suppose I suppose even a couple weeks like @elsimo suspects is possible!

Hanbanxx · 07/12/2020 16:31

@HappyVibes the nurse who examined me during my MC said that they are seeing a lot more MCs lately and wondered if this was related to COVID. She said that there is research being undertaken about this at the moment x

Hanbanxx · 07/12/2020 16:31

@bez91 thank you so much, I will continue to test mine!

elsimo · 07/12/2020 16:33

Oh what are they thinking that COVID may cause mc?! Xx

Hanbanxx · 07/12/2020 16:37

@elsimo I have no idea! I thought it was a strange and unprofessional comment to make without any evidence to back this up! She was very casual when saying it and asked the opinion of another nurse in the room who confirmed that she had also seen a rise since the outbreak. It didn't make me feel any better! X

Hopefulmummie · 07/12/2020 16:54

@Hanbanxx that's interesting as my husband had covid just before I conceived. I had suspectrd covid but never tested positive and I had been wondering was that anything to do with my MC

Hopefulmummie · 07/12/2020 16:56

Thought I would introduce myself properly. I had an ectopic pregnancy in June and fell pregnant again in October after 2 months of trying but unfortunately ended in miscarriage last week at 8 weeks pregnant.

I'm glad there is a thread for people in a similar situation to mine and I wish everyone well for their TTC journey x

chloedancer897 · 07/12/2020 16:58

@HappyVibes not back really. Just lingering to make sure everyone gets their BFPs! X

HappyVibes · 07/12/2020 17:32

@Hanbanxx interesting. I wonder if it’s perhaps more people TTC due to lockdown...as I know that some people for example where planning on getting married this year and TTC after wedding...but then because of weddings being cancelled they’ve started TTC earlier. And perhaps other situations like that for other circumstances?

Xxx
