Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. This our 4th thread (I think!) and we've had a few ladies get their BFP recently which is so exciting! Join us, won’t you?

@Emmgrem it’s definitely possible to ovulate as soon as you’ve come off the pill so fingers crossed you’ve been lucky on your first cycle!!

Do you mind me asking how you get the %s on the OPKs on Femometer? I’ve been using it but can’t work out how to get the score?

@Mol234 Thank you for the reassurance. I'm sure that's what must have happened the more the days go on. I'm on CD14 and def not ovulating now. Looks like I'm in the 2WW then, as weird as it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

For Femometer the percentages just automatically added themselves on mine when j scan in the OPK? The pic I posted before was from Premom though which everyone seems to say is most accurate. This is a screenshot from Femometer. It was difficult to get it to take a non blurry shot!

@Juno231 haha ah bless you, my thermometer didn’t play up this morning either, which was a win ha. What are you thinking about testing tomorrow? Think I’ll try with a cheapie. I have 20 of them and have never used them, so may as well 🤷🏻‍♀️

@TheHotelCalifornia sorry to see your temp dropped. I totally don’t take my own advice on this, but try not to read too much into each individual temp, I expect it’ll be back up again tomorrow. In the past I’ve done the same - spent hours googling fall back rises and secondary estrogen surges etc. I’m watching my temp like a hawk too. 8DPO for me now. I totally feel your pain, I even made a comment to OH the other day in the park about how many people had babies/were pregnant and be very rightly said that I had no idea how long it took them and if they struggled. It’s very hard to be that rational though when you’re so emotionally invested, but he was quite right. Well I’m hoping for a gluten free dominos, and then I’ll just let myself off on the cheese for one evening. Dominos use cheddar on their pizzas with is low lactose, so at least I’ll still be almost lactose free, but not dairy free, just for one day 😂 thanks for the Pizza Hut tips, could be a good back up plan!

@Emmgrem just been reading your other post ☺️ I can’t see a temp rise myself - FF adds the crosshairs after 3 high temps in a row - they need to be higher than the previous 5 days x

@Emmgrem welcome! Just to clarify, is the AF at the start of your chart the withdrawal bleed? If so then I guess you could have ovulated that early! FF will be confused though as the dip on CD6 would perhaps temp wise be ovulation but then you've recorded plenty of fertile CM after this date - which is conflicting as it should have dried up by that point. I say keep charting and eventually it'll make sense!

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you for your kind words ❤️. As for your BBT I'm afraid I have no wise words other than to wait and see 😕. I'm sorry it's giving you grief though and hope it's just a fluctuation.

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you! Oh I so feel for you, I'm sorry you're struggling. I've not been taking my BBT for long so I'm probably not the best resource, hopefully someone else has some words of wisdom for you and I'll be following along to learn as much as possible!

@Emmgrem the OPK looks great! I've not caught one as high as that yet, though I admit I gave up with them this month as they were driving me mad waiting for a peak haha!

@MintGreenLife I'm dairy free too and oh my word the idea of a cheesy pizza with REAL cheese! 🤤 My mouth is watering. Enjoy!!

@LauraT94 got a whole 9 days to go until I have my first taste of proper cheese in several months, counting down the days already 😂

@MintGreenLife Hmm all the temps post CD6 are higher than any of the previous ones... but it's like there's not enough data on there yet to judge 😬 all I know is in a normal cycle I should be ovulating now and it feels like all the symptoms have already passed. Very confusing. Or perhaps I won't ovulate at all the first cycle.

@Juno231 Oh thanks for pointing that out. I had been thinking a rise meant ovulation but I guess the rise is actually post ovulation so my symptoms should technically have been pre CD6/7 in that case, but before that I was on my withdrawal bleed so my body really had no time between 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤔 There was definitely a good few days of EWCM like I never used to have on the pill though.

@LauraT94 I read your other post and I think you might have the right idea waiting for tour first proper cycle to TTC. I've made it stressful for myself by trying without knowing my body and usual patterns at all! I took the pill back to back for 12 years so god knows what's going on down there! It must be difficult waiting out your first AF. I think I'll be symptom spotting the whole time now instead of 'looking forward' to it finally happening like you'll be 😂

@MintGreenLife I've been saying for weeks now that I'll treat myself to some brie at Christmas, along with some paté... With a potential testing date of Christmas Eve if all goes well, who knows if I'll get my beloved cheese 😂

@Emmgrem yes it's all so confusing isn't it! I said a little while back how fascinating I'm finding it all and I'm so excited to learn more about how my body works. It's crazy we don't learn more about fertility at school! Looking forward to seeing how your cycle progresses! Sounds like it's all moving very quickly!

I'm cramping this evening and had more spotting so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that AF comes tomorrow... We haven't DTD at all this month so not even the slightest chance of a BFP for us hence me willing AF on so we can have a fresh cycle!

@MintGreenLife not sure I should even bother testing today, check out my chart :(

@Juno231 sorry to see your temp dropped, you never know, it might go back up again tomorrow. To be honest I don’t blame you not testing as if it were a BFN that’ll probably just make you feel worse.

My temp looks like it may be on the way back down again. I did an IC this morn and BFN - completely stark white. I get that it’s early, but not feeling great about this cycle now x

@Juno231 I had a huge dip the morning I tested and that was 11DPO!! So could be implantation dip. Here is my chart. So definitely doesn't mean you're out

@MintGreenLife I didnt get a profile IC until 15DPO and even that was so light! Got everything crossed for you x

@AMS19 I go have FRERs, but I don’t want to waste them on testing so early 😂

@MintGreenLife yeah totally get that. My FRER at 9DPO was as stark white as possible. My first line which was super faint was 11DPO. Nothing on an IC at that point though, and mine were sensitive ICs too

Thanks @AMS19 that makes me feel a bit better. I never thought I would do this, but I’m totally staring at the IC now as I think I can see the world’s faintest line. It’s honest so faint it’s laughable, and may not even be there. I think probably an evap as it’s about 5 mins out of the timeframe to read it now. I’ll try again tomorrow ☺️ X

Firstly, @Ams19 .... Fantastic news your little bean is ok and all was well at your scan!! 🥰

And @MintGreenLife @Juno231 @TheHotelCalifornia - sending you all lots of baby dust. It's so difficult at the stage of the cycle you guys are at not to read way to much into every individual temperature - but as someone has already said, just try to remember that daily BBT fluctuations out with the general trend are pretty normal? Know it's hard not to read into that though cos I was doing the exact same last month!

My forays into the FF app have totally confused me today, as it's now telling me I ovulated 3 days ago, on CD10. I think the issue is that it's set my cover level really low as my BBT's have been really low (apparently an indicator of thyroid issues too @MintGreenLife!) as Natural Cycles still has me predicted around CD20. Just need to keep charting and see I guess! But worth noting today's "high" temp is 36.24, so for you guys with drops, it's all relative as I'm sure you're all still higher than that!

I did get some pretty decent visibility on an OPK on CD11, (which Premom still counted as low / negative) that's the only thing that's making me doubt myself a bit. Also the pregnacare tablets do say on the side of the box they can instigate cycle changes 🤷🏻‍♀️ Might need to write this cycle off, as we're not really covered DTD wise for a CD10 ovulation! Hopefully get some higher temps later in the month and FF adjusts itself though.

@crabette maybe adjust your 9 and 10 temps as I think they could be messing with the crosshairs? They've created artificial dips in temp due to being taken earlier than the rest so fingers crossed that sorts it.

@crabette I agree about not reading into my temp today btw, it's just hard not to! One thing that helps me is that my RHR is still high and usually it drops before my temp has had a chance to and predicts AF a bit better.
