Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. My temp jumped from 36.03 yesterday to 36.31 today, does anyone know if that's enough to confirm O? FF didn't add the cross hairs but I only started temping part way through my cycle and it was a bit all over the place to start with. I feel like I've ovulated! If that is possible haha, i just feel crampy.

@LauraT94 Think you need to see what happens in the next couple of days? Usually a temp rise needs to be consistent for a couple of days before an app will confirm it, as you can have the odd day at a higher temp due to natural fluctuations.

I'm not sure about 36.31 to be honest - looks like you've had similar before, 36.25ish? It may be with your symptoms your temp goes up again tomorrow though!!

Usually my temp peaks post ovulation go up to somewhere between 36.5-36.75 - they can be a bit lower the first day though. The more you temp, your app will set a 'cover level' of where it thinks your temp has to go above to confirm ovulation. But again, it'll only confirm if it's over that for 3 days, it won't read off a single temp.

@laurat94 it looks v promising but you need three consecutive temps before ovulation is confirmed. What kind of OPKs are you using btw, the LH ones or LH and oestrogen ones like clear blue? I'm only asking as you've used logged the latter but I could have sworn you used cheapies :)

My temp is still good today but my rhr has dropped by two so AF is definitely going to show. The bfn at 13dpo doesn't help either 😂

I think it's all been thrown off because I had some high OPKs around CD16-18 which I stupidly thought was O, so I've been expecting AF when actually I'm only just ovulating!

Did another OPK this morning and Premom says I peaked yesterday ❤️ we DTD yesterday and today so I'm officially beginning my first TWW!

@Juno231 ooh sorry I didn't see your reply before I posted!! Uh oh, have I been logging the wrong ones?! I've just been using the cheap LH ones from Femometer! Can you tell I've got no idea what I'm doing?! 😂

Sorry to hear you think AF is on her way 😢 as everyone says though, you're not out until she's here!

@laurat94 ha yes I think stick to the - /+ options for opk results as the peak ones are more advanced and can affect your chart differently.

Afternoon ladies... it's nearly the end of the working day for me (I finish at 4) and my mind is wandering towards TTC again

I just wish my body knew what it was doing! Clearly I have had a big estrogen surge (lots of EWCM, a high soft open cervix etc) but my OPKs have not shown a LH surge... they haven't gone above 33% and I have been testing 3 x a day every day for the past week ... what do you ladies do to catch your peak??

I had a temp rise this morning, which I would have been mildly interested in if I hadn't taken that temp an hour later than usual.... bum. My CM is back to creamy and my cervix was low and firm again. So... I guess my surge is over?

I best go take the dogs for a walk and go for a run with my girl friend and forget about it!

@kay00 gah that's frustrating, I'm sorry! May be an idea to adjust that erratic temp so it doesn't mess with your coverline? My RHR has dropped by another 2 today but no AF still - tomorrow must be the day lol.

I don't know much about RHR but does it always drop before AF? Does it ever drop then women get a BFP? Your temperatures are looking good though xx I have my fingers double crossed for you xx 🤞🤞

@kay00 you know what your chart still looks promising for ovulation yday I reckon - proof will be in the pudding, aka tomorrow's temp! Yeah rhr is far from exact but for me a drop has meant imminent AF in the past! BBT charts on the other hand are trolls in the LP where anything goes.

@juno231 I suppose we'll both be waiting on what tomorrow brings then 🙃 if I'm honest I don't feel like I ovulated as I didn't get the horn despite my other symptoms 🙈 but we'll see!

@Juno231 Doh 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've changed it all on FF now! Thanks for the heads up. How do you get your RHR on your chart as a line? I've added mine as a custom specific and it shows along the very bottom in orange. But no line on my graph... Still got my 🤞🏻 that AF stays away for you xx

@Kay00 caught mine by a complete fluke this cycle! So I'm not much of a help. Was convinced AF was coming, but had lots of EWCM, the horn, and slight cramping... Did a LH test CD35 and bam there it was! Confirmed by lower LH reading today and temp rise too. Just waiting on temps in the next few days to fully confirm ovulation at CD35!!

This was our first cycle doing any kind of monitoring and first cycle TTC so I can't offer much insight other than do regular LH tests when you think you might be coming up to fertile window, though sounds like you're already doing this! I know some people peak really quickly and miss it! So could be that that is happening with yours? But it definitely sounds like you should be seeing some sort of surge with 3 tests a day!

@Laurat94 yes, I've been testing 3 x a day around 11am, 4pm and at 9pm, occasionally as late as 11pm... but nothing 😆. I either peak really quickly at night time or i just haven't peaked yet.

Are you excited to be in your first TWW? I was buzzing in mine!!

@Kay00 totally possible it's happening overnight! Have you ever felt your ovulation pain? My cycles used to be so regular pre-pill and I would feel myself ovulate each month. I'm certain I felt that yesterday too, but I had the same pain on both sides so I'm not sure 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm SO excited haha!! Which I know is ridiculous and naive but I'm trying to enjoy the excitement and hopefulness while it lasts! I'd be beyond amazed if I was lucky enough to catch first time as this cycle has been so odd and DH and I have literally DTD once yesterday and once this morning so there was no 'coverage' in the days leading up to ovulation haha!

But all the same, I'll be counting down the days and obsessively monitoring my temp and symptom spotting 😂

@laurat94 ah you need premium for that, I think it's called chart duo somewhere in the settings? Then you can pick custom data to add. If you have premium I can dig it the exact instructions for you.

I have definitely noticed a similar sensation around the time of ovulation, and I had ut a couple of days ago... a mildly painful popping sensation about an inch or so from my hip... usually on my left side which i assume is ovulation pain. But I know it can be caused by activity in the ovaries in the build up to ovulation or even afterwards, so doesn't prove I ovulated. Ill just have to wait and see what my temp does tomorrow.

@Kay00 yes that's very true! Definitely can only take the once if the timings right, the stars align, etc etc etc 😂 however slim a chance I know I'll be excited to test!
