Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. Oh wow @MintGreenLife that is a great OPK!! I would definitely DTD today if you can. But totally get you want to "preserve" it. Maybe try testing again later today and see what it is doing? If it starts to go back down DTD and assume you may have peaked! Mine was a peak at 10am and back down to low by the evening x

@AMS19 how many days DPO are you now?! Now you have a BFP it must be so hard not to test. Have you used any IC’s or just frers?

Hey @Moocher90 15DPO today. Today was period due day, so did another FRER and a CB digital. All good. I'm going to switch to ICs and test every other day until I use up the pack of 20. Serious issues 😂😂 I'll probably so another CB digital next week or so to make sure the dates have moved along...

@AMS19 I'll test again at 4ish :) I wouldn't be surprised if it goes back down again later as that's the pattern I had last month, followed by two days of positives after and ovulation on the third day of positive OPK. I think I'll assume I'll either ovulate tomorrow or Thursday, so will aim to DTD tonight and tomorrow I think, not sure I could push for Thursday as would be four days in a row by then ha. I don't blame you for all the testing, tbh I would be the same! x

@sperr ah yes I thought you were able to pinpoint the whole 3 high rhr higher than the previous 6 bit!

As for symptoms of hypo - hard to say? I've always been a bit on the tired side but then who isn't, I do struggle to lose weight even when on a strict diet (I lose some, just much slower than eg my friends on the same regime - and that's taking TDEE and activity into account). I lose lots of hair and it's dry, and my skin (other than my now oily face) has always been on the dry side to the point where I used to dread showering cause my skin would feel so tight and flaky afterwards (YUM!). But all of these things seem minor and could be anything or nothing at all lol

@Juno231 thanks, best get DTD and hope ovulation happens in the next day or so and that I see an improvement on my LP.

I feel like I have lots of hair loss too, and yeah, dry skin like you, my hair's always been quite coarse and I need to use conditioner for dry/damaged hair, but I always thought that was just my hair type as it's really thick. How are you feeling about your TSH? It's obviously not having an impact on your cycles so that's good, as higher TSH can be related to late ovulation/short LP/long cycles xx

I've had another close family pregnancy announcement today... feel like a horrible horrible person as I obviously am delighted for them - but it is difficult not to feel bittersweet about it. It's funny, totally different on here as we're all in the same boat and willing each other on!! 😂 I just find it hard with folk who make it look easy just now I think!

My OPK is back to faint again. Attached my pattern/surge from last cycle, so there's every chance I'll get another positive tomorrow. As we DTD yesterday I can't quite work out when to try to DTD over today/next couple of days, but think I'll basically have a go each evening and see if DH is up for it 😂 Then if there's one night he's not, at least we are fairly well covered!

@crabette sorry to hear this, it sucks doesn't it. I'm the same as you, the way I react (inside of course) makes me feel terrible, but it's not an easy thing to see other people going through when you want it so badly. I guess we all have an understanding of each other and how hard we are trying, whereas with others it looks so easy from the outside, but of course some may have struggled/put just as much effort in as we have. It's the ones where you know they didn't even really have to try that sting the most x

@MintGreenLife is there anyway it is being distorted by your urine? As in, could you not be holding for as long/drinking more? I literally had to dehydrate myself to get anything appear!

@crabette all okay thank you lovely! My next goal is to get to 5 weeks, which is 8 days away. Which feels like 5 years away 😂😂

@AMS19 I think the stop/start LH surge is normal for me, so I expect I'll have a positive again tomorrow :) I found an interesting article about LH here: modernfertility.com/blog/normal-lh-level/

It says: 'According to a few studies (here, here, and here), there are many different LH surge patterns: 42-48% of cycles have a short LH surge before ovulation; 33-44% of cycles have two LH surges (an initial big rise, small drop, then a second rise in LH); and 11-15% of cycles have a "plateau" pattern (when LH levels remain high after an initial surge).'

So last cycle I had the initial rise, drop, and then second rise. It also says women mostly have the same type of surge each cycle, so fingers crossed for another positive tomorrow. If I follow the same pattern as last cycle, I'll ovulate on Thursday x

Yes, interesting! I have only caught my peak once (In 4 x cycles) so im determined to catch it this time!

@Kay00 I was the same last cycle, but that's mostly because I gave up testing before with such late ovulation, now I know to keep going ha x

@mintgreenlife such exciting news that you're getting some results from your OPKS!! let us know what happens tomorrow it definitely sounds like you could be in the camp of a surge that's less than typical! Honestly you guys make me feel so much better as it can get pretty disheartening reading the constant 28 day cycle/ovulate on CD14 can't it!

Not much happening over here. CD21. I had EWCM on Sunday and got really excited but none today or yday. No high OPKs in fact PreMom thought there was an error as they were so low 😂 classic. Really hoping something happens soon! My apps are all over the place none of them have any idea what's going on hahaha. Attaching my OPK charts from last cycle and this one for reference. Gonna watch bake off and drown my sorrows in sticky toffee pudding! Hope everyone's having a good week, @AMS19 so glad things are progressing and don't blame you for testing lots at all!!

@TheHotelCalifornia so thankful to have a positive OPK after 28 days, was starting to feel a bit glum about it given I ovulated CD25 last cycle, but my EWCM had increased over the last couple of days, so felt like it was most likely coming. Hoping I get another positive tomorrow and a temp rise in a day or two.

Sorry to hear not much is happening for you so far, hopefully it won't be too much longer of a wait. I guess if your last cycle is anything to go on you've got another week or so wait, but then does mean you may be coming into your FW soon :) at least we make each other feel normal! x

@MintGreenLife how's your temp today? Mine hasn't really moved so I'm hoping maybe today is OD as my RHR has jumped 3bpm over night.

Here's mine - little temp drop this morn, so wondering if today might be O day. Will do another OPK late morning. Hoping for a positive, but will try not to worry if it's not positive and just hope my temp goes up in the next few days x

No BFP and no period :( not sure what’s happening will monitor over the next few days and hopefully AF shows. If not I’m in for a very long cycle as I could have ovulated later as I had ewcm tinged with pink between CD28-30 and I’m now CD33.

@MintGreenLife nice dip there! Will you DTD today again? Doing it yesterday (ie 2 days in a row then, today would be 3rd) was like pulling teeth lol, OH was so not in the mood and kept whinging about being tired. So I'm contemplating if I still need to today if assuming that today is O, we'll have done it O-1, O-2 and O-4...

@Moocher90 that's frustrating! How long have your LPs been so far?

@Juno231 my OPK today is a very strong positive! Never had one this dark before. Think this will mean ovulation tomorrow for me, and same pattern as last cycle, although I guess it could be today given the temp dip 🤔

Oh gosh I'll be the exact same later! Definitely going to try again for today, but he wasn't massively up for it yesterday although did manage to convince him. I guess if you can try for today? It's worth a try and then if he's not up for it at least you've given it a good go. If ovulation is tomorrow for me and we manage today then we will have done O -1, -2 and -4. May try again tomorrow, but think that would really be pushing it 😆 X

Not sure how long my LPs are as I’ve only ever had a withdrawal bleed at beginning of October and this will be my first proper period since coming off the pill..... my cervix is so high I can’t reach it today though :/

@moocher90 do you have a chart you can share?
