Roll up, roll up, it’s time for a new thread for the ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few. @MintGreenLife look at that OPK I’m not sure I’ve ever had one that dark!

@Moocher90 I’d try not to worry too much if this is your first proper cycle post pill, I’m not convinced I even ovulated the first 2 cycles

CD9 for me not a lot going on, fertile week falls over OHs night shifts so it’s already not looking good this cycle, I feel like I’ve lost my TTC mojo I’m feeling more like I can’t be bothered with it and what will be will he kinda thing 😕

@Moocher90 ah gotcha, sorry for not remembering that, it's hard to with so many girls to keep track of!

@MintGreenLife woop for that dye stealer! Glad to know I'm not the only one with a reluctant OH this cycle lol. I've had ovulation pains the last few hours so really think today is the day!

@MintGreenLife that OPK looks amazing!!! Good luck to you and @Juno231

@Moocher90 it is frustrating I know but the first cycle off the pill i was all over the place! Keep tracking, it might be you haven't ovulated yet!

@ChinChilly @AMS19 I'm not going to lie, I got quite excited about that OPK 😂

@Juno231 you're totally not alone on this! My DH basically said he probably won't be up for it today 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'll try my absolute best later, but if not may have to settle on skipping today and doing tomorrow instead. Super annoying as with the positive OPK yesterday I thought today could be the day, but then with the even darker one today I expect it'll be tomorrow, so hard to plan DTD when you're not entirely sure when O day will be. Think we've both done pretty well at DTD so wouldn't worry too much if you skip a day, and I should follow my own advice too 😆

@MintGreenLife Whoa! That's a whopper of an OPK... I can only dream of something so strong!

It sounds like you and @juno231 have a good DTD pattern this month so I wouldn't stress too much about missing today, but maybe aim for tomorrow morning?

I have always felt like my OH's sex drive was always a bit of a problem (historically I have had a much lower libido than him... but now i'm thinking that's down to the pill) but I suppose it's coming in handy whilst TTC, haha . I suggested to him that we DTD every other day this cycle and he was really disappointed... he want's to go every day or even twice a day like last cycle . I will need to ask him very kindly not to service himself in the days we are not DTD!!

@Kay00 AC is meant to increase LH, so seems to be doing its job!

I'll try for later, but if not will settle for tomorrow. This is me assuming O day is tomorrow, but I suppose with my temp dip it could be today. I did feel it last cycle, so hopefully I'll know by the end of the day.

We used to have the same issue - my libido was low on the pill, and his was always high, but lately he's not been up for it as much. Every other day suits us best I think, so do wonder if we should have skipped yesterday and done today instead, but it's so hard to plan for, especially with such long cycles as you know x

@kay00 I know the grass is always greener on the other side but I wish my OH was like that! It's hard not to interpret his low libido as just not fancying me otherwise 😅. I'd happily DTD 3+ times a week whereas he'd be happy once every 10 days perhaps.

Whenever anyone tells me not to track cause it is "stressful" I always want to say that if I didn't track then our once a fortnight DTD would leave us childless 😅

@mintgreenlife @juno231 😅😅 if we don't DTD for at least twice a week then my OH starts getting really depressed 😂😂 he'll say (moping voice) "we never have sex any more, I worried there's something wrong with our relationship ship" then I have to remind him we had sex 3 days ago! He churps up after that 😆 the only time have have ever kept pace with him is during peak fertility week off the pill! Honestly... I have always believed the grass is greener, so you should count yourselves lucky 🤣

@kay00 haha that's totally me speaking to my OH 🤣. Except now as I'm tracking DTD as part of ttc I can counter by saying, actually, it wasn't 3 days ago, it's been 10 days!

Hope everyone is ok, I'm literally hibernating this week and just eating biscuits until I pop. Ready to start opks from CD10 and see how the lines lie.

@MancMama39 haha I was pretty chuffed with it. We've managed today and the previous two days too 🤞🏼

@Juno231 did you get your temp spike this morn? Mine is still low, so today must be O day, which is the same as last cycle - positive OPK for three days with ovulation on the third day x

@MintGreenLife I did get a temp spike albeit not a massive one - jumped from 36.2 to 36.42 but there's still a significant shift compared to the rest of the chart I'd say so I'm confident O was yesterday. Fingers crossed for your temp increase tomorrow!

Is a temp dip pre ov a thing?! Think I saw something earlier on the thread, had a little dip this am (CD 9) so going to opk today and see if anything is going on yet. DTD last night so covered if ov is early.

@MancMama39 oh I had forgotten about that! Fingers crossed it does actually happen today ha.

I think the rise in oestrogen can cause a temp dip, but it's not a sure thing. I had a temp dip yesterday and obviously wasn't O day, and my temp has gone back up today. Looking back at my charts I don't seem to get the temp drop on O day x

I've just had another super positive OPK and I'm not sure what to make of it 😕 App is saying it's even stronger than yesterday's, but it's hard to tell really.

Last cycle I did have three positives three days in a row, with ovulation on the third day, but my strongest positive, or 'peak' was on the middle day. Really hope ovulation is today as I've made OH DTD three days in a row and tired him out 😂

I'm sure it is as my cervix is super high and wet (TMI!). What does everyone think?

Also have to ask if anyone has experienced this before - I felt a bit of tenderness in my lower right abdomen so just had a little prod around. Just in from my hip bone it's really tender to touch, almost like it's brusised. Could this be anything to do with ovulation? I ovulated from the left side last cycle and just had a few sharp pains lasting a few seconds on ovulation day x

@mintgreenlife... wow! Thats a REALLY strong OPK! Those AC must be working hard to produce some damn good eggs! Maybe that's whats causing the tenderness! Here's hoping you don't conceive quads 😆

In all seriousness, no i haven't experienced that tenderness before... but then I've never had an OPK that strong! I would imagine you'll ovulate tonight or tomorrow x

@MintGreenLife What you've described is exactly what I felt when i ovulated, i had quite bad pains if Im honest and it was like a pinching feeling above my hip bone but lower tummy and when I squeezed or pushed it really hurt, like going to the loo sometimes hurt but it only lasted that bad for a few hours. Just wanted to add to what you said as i couldn't have described it any better myself. Lovely lines as well 😉

@Kay00 oh god can you imagine 😂 It's actually worrying me slightly as it's so tender, I can hardly touch the area. Hopefully it'll go in a day or two and then I'll know it was definitely ovulation related, although I think it's fairly obvious that it is.

Praying ovulation is tonight as I don't think we can keep up DTD 😆 I'll try for today just in case, but I'm not hopeful 😂 X

@Flowerbudd haha ah bless you. Oh phew! That makes me feel better. Hoping this means it'll be a super strong ovulation 🤞🏼 Did you get the tender feeling on ovulation day?

Hey @Flowerbudd so far still sticking and lines getting stronger every 2 days. But time is going so so so so slowly! Ha! Im technically only 4 weeks 1 day based off LMP 😭 how you doing??? X

Amazing OPk @MintGreenLife I never had one even near that! Got everything crossed

@MintGreenLife Yep, so so tender on the day I got my peaks, the next day i tested and the line was faint and the pain had gone and that pain always went hand and hand with my peaks, so Id say you were ovulating tonight or tomorrow morning so you've DTD plenty enough. 

@AMS19 aww thats great to here! Painfully slow though isn't it?

Im doing good so far thank you, 7 weeks today, not had many symptoms at all apart from sore boobs and mild cramping so bit anxious but all ok thank you 😀 xx
