@lucyrp your metabolism might be sluggish if you have eaten that way a long time. Most diets suggest little and often , small meals and snacks etc. I'm no expert, just a suggestion of something to look at if you are tracking calories accurately and not losing.

Been quiet today crew, but I've still been reading! Love all this chat about the gym and eating well and calories, I'm a calorie counter too, my OH always laughs at me because I weigh EVERYTHING even down the the spices I put on my chicken, I know not to get too obsessed with it though because I once had a bit of a meltdown over it, so now I treat myself on a Saturday or Sunday night, but eat really well during the week, gym Monday-Friday then walks at the weekend!

I use my fitness pal too but often find they don't give you enough calories, I just use it to log mine so I can work out my calorie deficit for that day! They say being in a calorie deficit of 3500 js about 1lb of fat so I always try and hit that or more in a week! Just out of curiosity what does everyone eat in a day like meal wise? I love asking this question😂

CD7 here for me so not much to report, but this will be my first cycle using seven seas trying for a baby tablets, they only arrived today so starting them a bit late I know, and it'll by my first cycle since trying that I'm taking the full relaxed approach, no ass juice, no seeds, no opk's, nothing, hoping it will work in my favour!! Bring on cycle no.6!!

@Newbie0818 wow so glad your OH will get his results tomorrow that's so fast!

@Minster2012 urghh how frustrating in the centre parcs thing, I hate having to faff around booking and planning stuff if it might not even happen!

@minster2012 I hate the advert I have to say. It should be a lovely happy one but it makes me cry because I want that to be me 😭

I've just been for a 5 mile run, was dry when I left and the heavens opened halfway round. I am now a literal drowned rat. Date night with DH tonight we are actually going out out for dinner!! I love half term. He's so much more chilled ❤️

@Juno231 do you think possibly ovulated on the Tuesday 20th rather than predicted on the Monday 19th? I had a positive opk on 18th so wasn't sure just knew was coming x

@Minster2012 ya I'm pretty sure your bone density increases into adulthood and then decreases as you get older. Yes definite yucky metallic taste all day, notjing else to report but I am definitely fixating enough on this one symptom to keep me going for now 😂

@lucyrp I'm no expert at all, I'm just going off what my OH knows and my pt tells me, but if you don't really eat breakfast or dinner, the first thing you do eat, your body will store it as fat because your metabolism will have slowed down, when I started having pts I was having 3 meals and 3 decent snacks a day and I was like what I won't be able to eat all that, but I did and was scared I'd put weight on but I lost 11lb in the first set of pts I did!

@Vil10 I get really bored of food so easily. Wish I could do fancy stuff but normally it's like lasagne and salad, some kind of meat and veg, pie and veg, bolognese, salads, steak and homemade chips with extra bits like salad or veg. I do mostly everything homemade too. I never buy jar sauces I refuse 😬

@lucyrp I am an absolute nightmare with running clothes honestly.. I get so bloody hot! I have a lightweight karrimor high vis jacket but I don't wear it because I sweat so much while running, it makes me even hotter when it's raining. Now I wear a karrimor waterproof cap (mostly to keep rain out of my eyes) and a karrimor long sleeve breathable top and that keeps me warm and it's fairly useful as it's sweat wicking so don't tend to notice getting soaked as much when it's raining! I'm also a proper weirdo who wears long shorts even when it's freezing out 😅

@lucyrp I'm a bit like that too!! I rarely do really fancy stuff, but we're massive fish eaters so have a lot of salmon, king prawns stuff like that, and I've been using the slow cooker more these last few weeks whilst the weathers been freezing!!

@Vil10 I wish I could have a PT but the only ones around me are men and my OH would go mad 🤣and by the time I add up my gym membership and PT I'd be broke 😂 I never know what to eat for breakfast and I find dinner hard too. I only do a shop once a fortnight too

@Vil10 I eat quite often, so probably 5 times a day 3-4 meals a day, 1-2 snacks. I have been looking at 16:8 because it would be a different way of doing things but not sure it would suit me. I'm a healthy weight but would like to lose a few pounds to get to a more idea weight

@Kirky658 I get really hot and sweaty too but I hate having my arms out something to do with my anxiety 🤣 I need to find something that keeps my arms warm but my body cool and I was also thinking about getting a cap! I'm also not really a fan of colourful stuff I've got loads of coloured gum shark stuff for the gym but I'd rather wear black 😂

@Vil10 Ooo yes we love salmon! Having salmon tonight. Or meatballs 🤔

@Vil10 ooo I like the what do you eat in a day question too... we've got shitloads of eggs currently (DS allergic) so yesterday I had :
Breakfast : 2 x dippy eggs plus one piece of toast & butter

2 x cups of coffee
Water

Lunch : picked on grapes, I think I prob had another bit of fruit?? Few squashie sweets Don't think I felt hungry o have something else

CUp of decaf coffee
Tea: vegan butternut squash Maceroni made with full fat coconut milk, asparagus, tender stem broccoli
2 bits of salted caramel galaxy choc (I'm really trying to be good)

Today
Breakfast
2 x dippy eggs, 1.5 bits of toast & butter

Lunch, tiny amount of leftover mac & salad, yoghurt, half a banana & pear, grapes, blueberries

About to have cup of decaf coffee

Tea: roast gammon & potatoes & beans

What about you?
Tomorrow another meat free day
But we are really trying to be good

@lucyrp hahahaa my pt is a man, my OH made a few jokes about it but isn't really arsed! Are they really expensive near you?? The gym I go to is £60 every 6 months for women, then £100 for 10 pts! I always swap between scrambled egg or porridge for my breakfast! Ohhh I'd love to only have to do a shop once a fortnight, I hate shopping but my OH eats sooo much food I have to do a mini mid week shop too and then every Saturday/Sunday😩 mmm I love meatballs!!

@Katao what's 16:8? I love trying new ways, sometimes I feel like I hit a big of a brick wall! I'm a bit like that too, when I met OH I was a lot more defined, my legs and shoulders and now I'm a bit more fluffy😂 so want to get back to that!

@Minster2012 you do sound like you're being good!! Last nights tea sounded delish too!! So on a usual day mine is..
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled, 1 piece of Wholemeal toast, a banana, decaf black coffee and a pint of water
Snack: Diet whey protein shake with water after the gym
Dinner: tin of tuna and about 35g of cucumber, 2 tbsps of 30% less fat salad cream mixed together in a seeded wholemeal pitta
Snack: 2 rice cakes with a bit of peanut butter
Tea: last night was chilli garlic and paprika king prawns with spicy rice asparagus tenderstem and mangetout
Then if I'm hungry after which is rare I'll have Greek yoghurt with some dried raisins and nuts and a bit of honey! I usually drink about 4L of water a day!

@Vil10 mine would go mad he'd be fuming🤣 my gym membership alone is £34.50 with my sons membership at £26 so that's £60 a month already 🙈 the PT I contacted said the first session would be £150 🤣 I always hate eating bread or porridge or anything cereal for breakfast because on SlimmingWorld you were only allowed like a small portion of that every day so just left it out completely even tho I love it. My OH eats loads of food too but he just snacks on toast and sausage rolls so I don't buy it so he can't eat it because then he'll moan he feels fatter 😂 I travel an hour to the supermarket so I don't want to be going twice a week 🙈 I spend like £170 every two weeks thoufh.

@Vil10 so instead of calorie counting you just eat during an 8hr window and fast for 16hrs. You can set it up to suit yourself as to when you eat and when you fast. Honestly though for myself I just need to kick the sugar habit! Ive gotten so bad for having tea and biscuits at least once a day. My meals are pretty healthy but its thecrap i eat on top of that that needs to go!

This change in weather is so miserable. I am a fair weather runner, just can't get myself out in the rain, hate it so much. Food is a nightmare in our house as my OH is sooo fussy-like doesn't eat anything made from potato or any kind of veg!!

@Vil10 see I struggle to not have carbs in my meals at night cos my DH barely eats during the day unless I force him to take stuff in by making him nice stuff (he has 3 slices of toast in the morning) then can easily not eat anything then come in going "I'M STARVINGGGGG"
He's 6'6 and so if I try give him a small portion he's like WTF??? So I just have to give myself a REALLY small one! Oh there was a biscuit yesterday 😂

@Katao here you go, we do meat free twice a week and I have lots of vegan recipes as DS allergic to eggs (and oats and fish 🙄) it's nice but I do less sauce as it can be too sweet so I did half a butternut yesterday and half a tin of coconut milk and we are doing a recipe using similar tomorrow a curry

@lucyrp sorry just saw your earlier question. You could try posting in the weight loss section here, I'm sure there are plenty of knowledgeable people there. I mean a dietician is the answer that comes to mind but can you access a dietician privately? I'm sure its only done through health services if you have health issues otherwise right?
