@Suki2020 I'm getting my bloods done again - I'll try and speak to my GP 1st and see what she says. I think my hormones have gotten worse since I got them done the last time lol I haven't confirmed ovulation in 3 months and everything has just been so shit 🙄 how are you feeling about this cycle?

Suki2020 · 25/07/2021 10:53

@xoJellyBean will be good to get your bloods checked again. Hormone imbalance can be fixed quite easily. At least by having the tests done you’ll know and the unknown is the worst. I’m not confident at all about this cycle. Out of the 5 cycles I’ve done on clomid this is my only cycle where I’ve thought this defiantly didn’t work, this time as I’ve had less symptoms

Justanothercyster · 25/07/2021 14:05

@Suki2020 your chart is looking very good! 🤞🏼In my experience, it's always the ones where you don't have any symptoms and think it's a bad one where you get a nice surprise :)

@xoJellyBean do definitely get your bloods checked again, they need to be doing more to help you by now!

Suki2020 · 25/07/2021 14:55

@Justanothercyster I really hope you are right 🤞 how many weeks are you now? You getting on ok?

xoJellyBean · 25/07/2021 21:48

Ok I took this and then went for a shower... I can't even remember how long it was until I looked... does this look like an evap?🤯

@xoJellyBean there is definitely another line there, do you have another to take to see if it’s darker today? 🤞

xoJellyBean · 26/07/2021 08:04

@Suki2020 I hardly slept last night! I have tests arriving from Amazon today so will test tomorrow again. I woke up with red blood, it was on the pad this time so I'm so anxious and not feeling very hopeful 😓🤞🏻Xx

Suki2020 · 26/07/2021 08:18

@xoJellyBean aww some women do still bleed through pregnancy. Some of my clients didn’t realise they were pregnant until about 8weeks as they thought they’d had a period

xoJellyBean · 26/07/2021 17:59

Not for me this month. Not sure what's going on but will check in with my GP this week x

@xoJellyBean oh lovely I hope it's just implantation. Those small strips are way less sensitive so don't be disheartened yet 🤞🏼

@Suki2020 when will you test? 🤞🏼
I'm 25 weeks now, all good although really struggling with my energy 😴 can't get comfy at night now so co scantly turning from side to side, swollen feet, etc. All worth it but it's bloody hard work sometimes. Thankfully schools out so I have the summer holidays to rest up ☺️

Suki2020 · 27/07/2021 08:07

@Justanothercyster no I won’t test until I’m late. My temp has dropped this morning again so I would say I’m out this cycle.
@xoJellyBean might be worth doing another test in a couple of days

@Suki2020 don't rule yourself out yet, couple of days to go x

Lolajames · 28/07/2021 14:56

Hi ladies,

Can I join?

Cycles typically 35-40 days until MMC in jan. Now around 40-60 days 😩

I had a chemical last cycle where I think I ovulated day 39. Got bfps for a week getting darker but then faded. Bloods confirmed the loss 🙁 Didn't track this cycle because I was so sad and fed up. I'm currently on day 47 and having the same symptoms of early pregnancy I have had with the last two but trying not to get my hopes up.

If I don't get a successful bfp this month I will be heading to the doctors to ask for some help to regulate my cycle. Any advise? X

letsgotrilobite · 28/07/2021 16:58

Hi all, I started a thread about long cycles and was guided over here Smile

I'm ttc #2 and struggling with my cycles being so long. They're usually 39-42 days at the moment, they used to be more irregular. Had a chemical last cycle, nothing this cycle. I'm fed up of having to wait 4 weeks for ovulation instead of 2 weeks. I'm probably going to see the doctor in a couple of months if nothing happens but what options are there? And does 6 months of trying mean 6 months, or 6 cycles?

I conceived my first surprisingly quickly even with crazy irregular cycles (35-65 days) so I'm not really sure what I'm doing. I'm crap at tracking ovulation!

Skl2021 · 28/07/2021 20:23

Hi ladies can I join in here too ☺️
Currently ttc #3 and I'm on cycle 7. My cycles seem to change every month and are roughly 35-40 days. Xx

Justanothercyster · 28/07/2021 21:23

Welcome @Lolajames @letsgotrilobite and @Skl2021
It is so frustrating with long cycles but not impossible so don't give up hope. With the how long before docs question, go for months rather than cycles as you'll be waiting forever! And if you go, for some reason they're more receptive to doing tests before the 12 month mark if you say you're concerned about why you're irregular as opposed to ttc, so go in with this first as they'll see you sooner in some cases.
I would also say try tracking as much as you can and build up your data with an app like fertility friend or something as that'll give them concrete proof that you're struggling, and it can give you clarity too. For me, temping was really useful in pin pointing ov as the opk's were really hit and miss with my pcos.

Hopefully that's a bit helpful! Good luck 🤞🏼

Suki2020 · 29/07/2021 07:47

Welcome ladies @letsgotrilobite @Lolajames @Skl2021

Like at @Justanothercyster said really tracking helps a lot although it’s tough sometimes I can tell that ovulation has happened. So for me I use the app fertility friend, I temp and do OPK’s. My cycles are more regular at the moment but I’m on clomid, will be interesting to see what happens once I’m off it again. I still don’t ovulate until between cd26-29 though.

@xoJellybean how are you doing lovely?
@Justanothercyster af arrived more me yet again so on to my last round of clomid and another hospital appointment booked for aug to arrange ivf now.

xoJellyBean · 29/07/2021 09:29

Welcome @letsgotrilobite @Skl2021 @Lolajames 🥰🥰

@Suki2020 had a very emotional call with GP this morning, she's so lovely though. Bloods confirmed a chemical, she put me at 5+1 but I'm not sure how accurate that is 🙈 I've had some pelvic pain so maybe need a scan to have a look at that. Sorry to read af arrived for you but onwards and upwards to your next treatment plan 🤞🏻 x

Suki2020 · 29/07/2021 11:56

@xoJellyBean aww so sorry to hear that lovely. Sending hugs. Have you had a normal bleed now? Can you try again straight away?

Skl2021 · 29/07/2021 13:20

@Justanothercyster thankyou so much for the advise! I will definitely go to the doctors sooner rather than later and mention the months not the cycles! Great thinking 💕
@Suki2020 so I have an app which I have been using for 6 months however it never gets my ovulation right. 🤦 I use opks as my ovulation changes every month and I wouldn't know when it is without them! I also don't ovulate until in the 20s is that a problem? Maybe I need to look into temping aswell! X
@xoJellyBean sorry you going through a shit time. How long have you been ttc? Xx

Justanothercyster · 29/07/2021 17:33

@Suki2020 aww sorry about af, but yay for apt to move things forward! That's a positive, hopefully this will be it for you 🤞🏼

@xoJellyBean sorry about the chemical lovely, heartbreaking. Have they said they'll help now?

@Skl2021 for me ov would usually happen in the 20s, I don't think it's an issue as long as you have time to implant with a normal luteal phase. In theory af should always start 12-14 days after ov. Temping is def worth a try.

Skl2021 · 29/07/2021 17:39

@Justanothercyster so I start to lightly spot on 10dpo always just before bed like clockwork 😩 then get heavy flow around 13 dpo so would u say this is an issue? I don't know if I should be trying to lengthen it ? 🤔 . With temping do you have to wake up at the same time everyday to do it? X

Justanothercyster · 30/07/2021 12:32

@Skl2021 I think you count it from full on flow but if you're concerned def speak to a doc? Otherwise there's some ways you could try to lengthen it herbally. Some women say taking Pregnacare lengthened their luteal phases too 🤷🏼‍♀️
Yeah ideally temping should be at the same time, but tbh I just did it as soon as I woke up first time in the morning (I tend to wake up and go back to sleep a lot!) and it was fine :)

xoJellyBean · 30/07/2021 21:26

Thank you everyone.

@Suki2020 it was light then went heavy for a day or so & now it's just really light bleeding. Been spotting since last Friday so this is a full week. She said she has no concerns for me to try again but I just hope my cycles don't mess up now 😐🤞🏻 how are you?

@Skl2021 ive been trying on and off (sorta) for 18 months now. What about you?

@Justanothercyster its noted now but I wonder does this push me further down or up the waiting list... lol - I've been really struggling with sore boobs and this pain in my lower abdomen, on the right side 😓 also got a sore lower back now! did you have anything like that?? I'm wondering is it connected or a weird coincidence

Justanothercyster · 31/07/2021 08:24

@xoJellyBean I hope it means they'll bump you up!
As for the pain, I often had that pain when cysts burst but pregnancy wise all my symptoms like that started at 6 weeks, but af did the same tbh so it's difficult to say! Just try to rest up, it may be your hormones levelling out x
