Hello!

Im in my first month of trying with my partner of 12 years. With wedding plans up in the air due to covid we decided we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more so here we are!

I came off the pill, had my withdrawal bleed and now in the two week wait until next week when I can test.

I guess I just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is new to trying too. Or people who can give light in how long it took them to conceive after coming off the pill.

We haven’t told no one we’re trying so I feel like I haven’t got no one to talk too about it all. Trying to stay positive and would love to have a happy ending to 2020.

Sending baby dust to you all xxx

I feel really nauseous this morning. Also been having weird dreams last few nights. I tested this morning and negative, but its still too early to tell so I was expecting that.

Exciting news @GreenApplesYo I can definitely see a line in both pictures! Hope it progresses for you now. And, its good to know that everything works!

Thanks for sharing your graph @AMS19 - it makes so much more sense to me now after seeing it like that. Very helpful Smile

Oh yes, I know of F45 @CardioQueen - always wanted to join one but there isn't one within walking distance to me. Haha definitely not an 80 mile bike ride over here! But same as you really, hiit. I was over exercising in April / May as I was doing an hour in the morning and then another hour at lunchtime and putting a lot of strain on my body, and eating bad / drinking A LOT of wine over Zoom. My body wasn't used to it so I guess it impacted my cycle. So much better now though. I'm currently coming to the end of Courtney Black's 28 Day Challenge (2 days left yay!) and I've been healthy with my eating and just keeping to the challenge, no extra workouts apart from walking.

GreenApplesYo · 29/10/2020 11:06

Ohh @PowerOfFlowers that's sounding hopeful. Fingers crossed you get a positive soon 🙂will you test again tomorrow? Hehe what have you been dreaming about?

@CardioQueen the 80 mile bike rides was me. I've just been for a jog. If my squinter turns into a proper BFP think I'll keep doing gentle jogs while I can.

I thought this was helpful www.tommys.org/pregnancy-information/im-pregnant/exercise-pregnancy/what-kind-exercises-can-i-do/running-pregnancy

It looks like the main thing to be aware of is not getting too hot. It says don't run in the heat for example.

@AMS19 my FRERs have turned up. I'm going to do one this evening after a 2hr hold, mainly to see if I get stronger results in the evening. Some people seem to? There are 4 FRERs in the pack, so I think I'll do one every other day because that makes sense to see any progression.

PowerOfFlowers · 29/10/2020 11:31

Thanks @GreenApplesYo ☺️ I say I'm not going to test until next week, but I know thats a lie 🤣 I'll wake up tomorrow morning and sit on the toilet and test because the box is right behind me! I have those cheap teats off Amazon so I'm not using up expensive ones. Ahh we shall see!
Weird dreams about my OH cheating yesterday - I woke up angry at him 🤣 And then last night about how I was best friends with RBG (after watching a Netflix documentary on her) and we were travelling together along with the press and Lisa Vanderpump 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ And a few more I can't remember now.
How are you feeling now? Do you have any more symptoms?

GreenApplesYo · 29/10/2020 14:10

@PowerOfFlowers haha amazing! Good choice for a best buddy 🙂will have to check out the documentary.

Not sure about symptoms, hmmm. Nothing really obvious... But do I seem to be feeling very hot, and very thirsty today.

Someone shared this on another page I'm on about the accuracy of FRER tests before AF www.verywellfamily.com/when-is-the-best-time-to-take-an-early-pregnancy-test-1960163#:~:text=One%20day%20past%20your%20expected

"Three days before your expected period: 68% of pregnancies detected
Four days before your expected period: 42% of pregnancies detected
Five days before your expected period: 33% of pregnancies detected
Six days before your expected period: 25% of pregnancies detected"

Worth bearing in mind when early testing 🙂 apparently they're still better than other brands though!

AMS19 · 29/10/2020 20:55

@Happythoughts91 how you doing my love?

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 09:32

@GreenApplesYo @PowerOfFlowers any test updates????!!!

GreenApplesYo · 30/10/2020 10:05

Hello @AMS19 how are you doing? 🙂

This was my 9dpo FRER from yesterday evening (Mumsnet FRER tradition complete, woohoo)

I'll do another FRER tomorrow to compare. Everyone please keep their fingers crossed the line gets darker?? 🙂 Might do a cheapy this evening though, can't help myself haha.

DP and I are still trying to stay cool about it at least until I miss AF. Trying to look at it as a "pending" result (or as DP said it's like when your team scores a goal, but it has to go to the video assistant referee for confirmation, which is probably the most laddy thing I think he's ever said).

TTC cycle 1 (just come off pill) for #1
AMS19 · 30/10/2020 10:16

Ahh @GreenApplesYo that is amazing. Definitely looking great for 9DPO. I absolutely LOVE that comment. Brilliant! It is like something my husband would say. Oh I'm so excited for you ❤

I'm good. 4DPO. Tempt has gone back down a bit. Did have twinges yesterday and felt a bit sick but I think that was form lack of sleep with work. This morning no sickness or twinges. Nipples are a bit sore but no massive changes. I just don't feel like I'm pregnant this month. Which is ridiculous I know, but I always thought I would kinda know/hope. I'm meeting my mum tomorrow in a beer garden (tier 2 restrictions mean freezing my arse off) and think I will have one glass of wine. Then have a morrocan spa experience Sunday. So all in all the TWW is not going well in terms of doing all the things you shouldn't 😂😂😂

CardioQueen · 30/10/2020 10:18

@GreenApplesYo everything crossed for you!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

GreenApplesYo · 30/10/2020 10:33

Ooh, will there be a steam room? Everyone says being relaxed helps with TTC 🙂I'm sure a glass of wine won't make any difference at all. (I had a hot bath on 7dpo btw, doesn't seem to have stopped implantation).

I didn't think I was going to get a BFP either by the way. Although I still got a bad poas urge haha. I still feel normal. My temps dipped a little at 3/4dpo by the way.

Aw thanks for being excited, that's cute 🙂I'm hoping we'll get a few more positive tests here soon!

GreenApplesYo · 30/10/2020 10:34

Haha thanks @CardioQueen x

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 10:39

Ahh thanks @GreenApplesYo that is really good to hear! Maybe I'm not totally out then. Yeah my spa day includes a rasul experience and then a massage. The rasul experience will have steam and be hot so a bit worried. But I'll be 6DPO so hopefully okay 🤞🤞

PowerOfFlowers · 30/10/2020 11:02

Hello!
Crossing everything for you @GreenApplesYo and great comparison with the goal scoring - love that!
I didn't test this morning @AMS19 - I'm going to try and not test now until Monday. Vivid dreams again though and woke up with cramps for about an hour, but no nausea.
Its so weird - I think I'm much more aware of any slight changes happening right now than I was when not ttc.
Spa sounds amazing!! We're going out for fancy dinner tomorrow night - I've got my eye on a nice steak and some red wine already 😆

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 13:41

@PowerOfFlowers oh you've really made me want steak and red wine now 😂😂 when do you think you'll cave? I'm feeling a bit sick again now but that could be anything. I'm so early I highly doubt even if I was pregnant it would be that. You are so right...I'm noticing every little thing now. And I still have 2 weeks before I want to test 🤦‍♀️

GreenApplesYo · 30/10/2020 13:58

Thank you @PowerOfFlowers.

Eeek WHY won't the days go faster! I'll be a lot happier when I get to 14dpo/AF doesn't come.

Stupid 2ww hey? 🙂@AMS19 I will be very impressed if you don't test for two more weeks (that isn't supposed to sound sarcastic).

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 14:04

Haha @GreenApplesYo I'm be gobsmacked if I don't test before 😂😂😂

CharlieBH · 30/10/2020 16:32

Hello, just read this thread and I'm in the exact same situation as you!

Was meant to get married tomorrow but rearranged until next year and don't want to put my life on hold!

I stopped the pill over a month ago and had withdrawl bleed within a week of stopping. Haven't had a period for over a month now, so just worried the pill has messed up my cycle! Taken ovulation tests and all coming back negative at the moment which not sure if that's normal or not. Got bad stomach cramps but don't know if it's my mind playing at tricks or not!

GreenApplesYo · 30/10/2020 17:53

Hey @CharlieBH aw sorry to hear it's taking a while for your cycles to get back to normal. Which pill were you on, and how long were you on it for? I think it's very common but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Aw that sucks about your wedding! When will you be able to have it?

CharlieBH · 30/10/2020 18:04

@GreenApplesYo

I was on rigevidon which is the same as microgynon. I've been on it since I was 16 and now I'm 25. So quiet a while! I can't really remember if my periods were irregular before I took my pill. I keep getting stomach and back pains so not sure whether that's a sign of PMS! Yeah, I felt better once I knew it was common but still frustrating. We moved the wedding to Jan 2022, so fingers crossed xxx

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 18:41

Hi @CharlieBH welcome. Yes annoyingly very common off the pill. So far I've been super lucky, had a period 28 days after my withdrawal bleed. Now waiting to see what happens this month, hopefully I get another 28 day cycle (or even better no period because I'm pregnant)! My ovulation tests were always negative too then got a peak out of nowhere...so keep with it!

CharlieBH · 30/10/2020 18:57

@AMS19
Hello,
Yeah it's frustrating as I have no idea what my body is doing at the moment! I will feel better once I've had my period.
I'm not sure what ovulation tests to use as bought some cheap ones but not sure if they're reliable. I don't want buy the expensive ones unless I have to.
Fingers crossed for you! Xx

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 19:01

@CharlieBHi bought cheap ones and they worked perfectly for me:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07X7K6LB1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5kgNFbZS5HA8A?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Just keep testing each day - it will happen. It came out of nowhere for me

CardioQueen · 30/10/2020 21:14

Guys, AF came! 👏🏼 I know it’s weird to be excited by that when we’re TTC but with my body/head all over the place for a 57-day cycle I am so pleased. Now we have a new chance to try again 🤗

Pretty much 3 months exactly now since I stopped the pill so fingers crossed I’ll start being regular from here.

AMS19 · 30/10/2020 21:33

Thats fab @cardioqueen nice fresh start and clean cycle. You've got this!!

CardioQueen · 30/10/2020 21:35

Thanks @AMS19 ☺️ Excited for a new cycle!
