TTC cycle 1 (just come off pill) for #1

Hello!

Im in my first month of trying with my partner of 12 years. With wedding plans up in the air due to covid we decided we didn’t want to put our lives on hold any more so here we are!

I came off the pill, had my withdrawal bleed and now in the two week wait until next week when I can test.

I guess I just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is new to trying too. Or people who can give light in how long it took them to conceive after coming off the pill.

We haven’t told no one we’re trying so I feel like I haven’t got no one to talk too about it all. Trying to stay positive and would love to have a happy ending to 2020.

Oooh @drs44 that is a great OPK!! DTD as much as you can!! Try today, twice if possible 😂😂 test again later this morning. You ovulate 12-24 hours so could ovulate today!! Yay!!!

btw for future reference the reason for testing in the afternoon is LH tends to be higher. This is from premom -

Test any time in the afternoon from 11:00AM - 4:00PM, as this is when LH level tends to be highest, and you won’t miss the peak.

@DrS44 ooo that’s exciting. I never actually did any tests early on before I got my period so I had no idea.
Did any of you guys see my post with the pre mom app? When it says high fertility, high chance to get pregnant? Is this just incase I ovulate early. Started dtd yesterday and twice 😂 but more for fun as my tests are still low. Haven’t done one today yet! X

Ohh sorry @jessi60 I did see and forgot to reply. I'd assume it's because sperm can live for up to 5 days in the fallopian tubes. So there would be a small chance of getting pregnant if you only had sex 4-5 days before ovulation. But obviously there's a much better chance of getting pregnant if you DTD the day before ovulation.

@jessi60 sorry totally missed that.

So this is your chances of getting pregnant according to Fermometer. It thinks on 27th (I didnt, I ovulated on 26th im pretty sure and according to FF) so you can see the chances of getting pregnant either side! Asssume this is pretty standard for everyone

@jessi60 I wonder if you missed it last cycle? The only reason I decided to test again was because of the sheer volume of EWCM 😂 I think I'm CD 28?!
keeping everything crossed for you this month 🙌🏼 I'm not sure how that app works? Is that just what they call the fertile window?

Tested again and it's even stronger!The test line has stolen some of the control line so that's positive too 👏🏻 yay! We DTD this morning and will do it again later 💃🏼 and tomorrow 😂 I'm loving being off the pill honestly my sex drive has sky rocketed 🤣🤣 xxx

@DrS44 Is that not really late in cycle to be ovulating though CD 28? I mean either way it’s good! Orrrr you could be pregnant already my friend found out she was pregnant by having positive ovulation tests 😂
Yeah I started testing on like CD 22 up to my period on CD 28 with no signs of ovulation so could of missed it before then Xx

@jessi60 oh really?? 😂😂 ya it does sound super late... but I suppose I'm thinking it might just be my body adapting to being off the pill? My cycle would therefore be super long? Who knows? I wonder does it matter so long as I ovulate? Imagine 😂🙈 I did do a test a few days ago and it was stark white 🤣🤣 I'll try next week maybe! What was her test like? Was the pregnancy one really obviously and was the LH as dark or how did it work?

Honestly I've see seen so many pics of peoples peaks happening in like a few hours, so it's sooo easy to miss I think! Xxx

@jessi60 oohhh but .29 ish is when I started to go up- maybe try tonight without drinking anything for a few hours and after holding it? It's cominggggg 😅💃🏼 xxx

@DrS44 Yeah your right it doesn’t matter aslong as you do! Must be a nice feeling when you see it rising though 🥰 the one I’ve just done is only my second wee of today so I had held it in for a good while😂
I haven’t got any more tests with me, I’m at my partners house at the minute so don’t have anymore with me. I’m mostly here but have ran out of my supply here🤦🏻‍♀️ will be able to get hold of more tomorrow though.

She was negative on pregnancy tests and was positive on ovulation tests haha. Strange! Xx

Morning gals, It's 2.46 am and I'm awake with what I'm assuming is ovulation pain... now it's not properly painful but it's annoying 🙄😂 seems to keep changing sides from left to right though? I always thought ovulation pain was from one side in particular? Has anyone experienced this? I'm also feeling quite nauseous is that normal? It could be that I took my pre-natal a few hours after eating last night when I remembered? OR it could be the bottle of wine I had to drink 🤣🤣 hope everyone is sleeping soundly xxx

Hi @DrS44 - thats annoying to be awake with that pain! I personally don't get ovulation pain but I think you can get it both sides, it's just way more common to get it on one side only (the side of the ovary that's releasing the egg). I do often wake up nauseous after more than about 2 drinks but I am a lightweight these days 😂😂 have got a hot water bottle or something for the ovulation pain?

@drs44 I found ovulation pain to be like a stitch feeling just very uncomfortable! Just be so pleased you are ovulating! And at such a great time in your cycle. Hopefully it will be the last time in 10 months because you'll get pregnant!

@GreenApplesYo how are you sleeping?! Im awake at 5am every bloody day! Sometime 3/4am. Eurgh. How far gone are you now?

I'm 20DPO, will be 5 weeks on Wednesday 🤞🤞 POAS every other day using ICs. Starting to see some progression and stronger lines on them now too! They are still much lighter than FRER but I've banned myself from the more expensive ones for now. Will probably take another digital or FRER Wednesday

@AMS19 oooh time is flying by now!! Which is weird because it's also going at snail pace for me 😂 are you getting any bad nausea or any other kinds of symptoms other than waking up super early?

I'm CD17. I feel like I have the longest cycle on the entire planet but I think it's because this will be the first time I actually catch my ovulation since I came off the pill in July. So it feels like I'm on CD110. I have decided even if it's another 57 day cycle I will just test every single day until I get it. Could be a really testing finish to a very testing year 😂

Morning, took me a few hours to get back to sleep! Mostly because my mind was running like crazy 😭

@CardioQueen thanks so much! I do actually have a hot water bottle and I thought about it in the middle of the night, but it was downstairs with my puppy so I did not want to disturb 😂

@AMS19 yaaa that's what it feels like, and like really dull cramps with some sharper sensations too? So strange to feel it for the first time in 14 years! Feeling very lucky that my body is doing its job 😊 haha and I hope you're right!! I might do another OPK this morning although I drank a lot of water in the night so it might be useless! Why do you think you're waking so early? Can't believe that's 5weeks already that's so exciting 🙌🏼 xxxx

@CardioQueen ohhh god I feel for you! I'm the most impatient person ever and at CD27 I had lost hope! Hopefully you just missed it. Seems to just creep up on you I think?! I just noticed so many weird feelings and CM that I happened to catch mine! Keep testing but also just keep BD every other day to cover yourself 👍🏼👏🏻💃🏼 xxxxx

@CardioQueen definitely feels like every day is a month. How am I not giving birth already?!?! I get the odd cramp here and there and am usually dizzy but otherwise nothing really! If I wasn't a POAS addict I'd be worried I was actually pregnant and it had fallen out at some point! Keep testing, you are hopefully getting super close 🤞🤞

@DrS44 all sound super positive! No idea why but it seems to be very common in early pregnancy. I'm off work today and was up at 5am! 🙄🙄🙄
