TTC November Bus

Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.

I'm 10dpo today, tomorrow would normally be the day af is due but I ov on cd 17 which is 2-5 days later than normal for me. I've got pains so thinking I'm just having a short luteal phase this month 😔 I don't know when to expect af now 🙈

@Markygirl1995 I'm struggling to see a line but that can just be the camera - always different in the flesh. A FRER tomorrow will confirm either way I'm sure. Good luck! Exciting!x

@SparkyLauz 99% sure I am too. Period was due today, it hasn't come just yet but I 'feel' period-y! And bfn. I've been through enough hopeful rounds of testing to know that AF is just being cruel and late for no god damn reason! Commiserating with wine. NEXT month will be our month 💪 xx

@Emc16x y es I remember you saying now. I caved and did a frer today (11dpo) and as usual bfn. I'm just void of all feelings around it now. DH and I have already had the conversation on if we would go through ivf/adoption and it's a no on both counts.
Sounds a bit dramatic we've already discussed this but I'm a planner lol. I like knowing what my options are before I need them.
I've been off contraception since April 2019.
I'm just getting so mad at people who are pregnant. I have 2 friends pregnant and I've had to say I can't be around them at the moment. All they do is twist about being pregnant and I'm sat thinking "shut up! You don't know how lucky you are!"

Have you been referred to fertility clinic yet ? It must be v. Difficult for you. I had a mc at 14 weeks and my colleague is preg and due literally the same day I was. I know im in a completely different situation but i get really frustrated and cant look at pregnant women either 😔. There could be allsorts of reasons why you havent conceived yet ....i feel ivf / adoption is a long way down the road. I send you a virtual hug xxXxx

@emc16x @theawkwardblonde hope you done mind me joining in with your convo - my situation is pretty similar. DH and I have been off contraception since May 2019 with zero BFPs. Going the GP is super nerve wracking but bit the bullet last week and doc had me booked in for my 21 day bloods. DH has also been referred to local hospital to get semen test booked.
How have your conversations with GPS been so far? Have they put you through tests or that?

@MgW1 thanks for your kind words. I think we are both feeling really disheartened as friends have conceived very quickly.
Sorry to hear about your MC. It is so hard when those around you are doing okay. Obviously don't wish Ill upon them but it's heartbreaking all the same.

@XPeach123 hello! I'm not far ahead of you tbf. Gp has just done my day 21 bloods this week after an issue with last months. DH has to go private for SA as no nhs facility near us is doing fertility testing due to covid. My GP has just said the usual to us that most couples conceive in their second year of trying. I know that's likely the case but I still feel so left behind as everyone around us has conceived before us, despite trying after! I've had 4 chemicals we think now too so the issue seems to happen just after implantation. I'm literally awaiting my bloods. I just have an awful feeling deep down that there is a problem. Our friend has endometriosis, was told their chances of conceiving were like 2% and they've just had their baby 😂 conceived in less than a year.

@theawkwardblonde let's hope you get some results from this one.
Had my bloods on Thursday, and already had a message from GP to call on Monday to discuss the results. Partially expecting to be told I didn't ovulate as my OPK gave me one smiley face the whole time I was using them this month and the line was so faint too.

@XPeach123 mine were done on Thursday too-we must be cycle buddies! 😂 let me know how you get on with your bloods. I'm so nervous to find out mine.

If you have had chemicals then you might think its shit but i think its supposed to be positive? Have they ruled out Pcso? Low estrogen / progesterone? You will get there one way ot another xxx

@MgW1 I got tested for pcos years ago (not related to TTC) as gained loadsss of weight in a short amount of time. No issues found but I know that may be different now. I do have symptoms of pcos so it wouldn't surprise me if it came back as that. GP did say to treat the chemicals as a positive as it does show I can get pregnant, just don't keep it long.

So it would be that some medication may help , good luck , if you have got that referral then fingers crossed you will get a bfp 2021! I think 2021 will be my year too ....we are just practising for the sake of it at the mo! 🤣 xx

@Theawkwardblonde sorry about your bfn! I’ve still not hit peak! Opks still showing high. Back still hurts...cramping. Maybe it’s close...or I’m just going crazy and need to give up testing this cycle. I’ve never gone from high to a peak...there’s really something up. I’ve only ever had two peaks and it was after a heavy night drinking. So I think it was the alcohol in my system knocking the teats off!

I’m getting very mad at friends too. So I 100% know how you feel. Two of our best friends are pregnant and due the same week. I can’t believe it it. Every couple were close to is pregnant and we’re being left out now. Nobody wants to speak to the couple who can’t get pregnant because it’s awkward. I’m v angry. All my friends say ‘but you’re so young time is on your side by DH is 35 and doesn’t want to be an older dad. All his friends are parents or parents to be. All my friends aren’t even engaged so full of ‘just enjoy your time when you stop stressing it’ll come’ I want to scream at them...you don’t say that to somebody who is TTC!

Sorry about your bfn. Good to know you and DH had that chat though. I think we’ll have the chat after we go to the clinic in jan. I’m really not sure how I feel about ivf or adoption.

@XPeach123 all my bloods showed I didn’t ovulate. I’m very irregular due to depo injection and think it’s still in my system. I hope that’s the only problem but it’s been 15 months and I’m still all over the place. Have been referred to hospital to the ‘Infertility Clinic’ (I absolutely hate that word ) appointment is in Jan. I’ve heard they’ll do some ultrasounds and DH will get semen tested. May be put on clomid to try to make me ovulate?!

A friend of a friend was referred to the same clinic...had one Fallopian tube cleared and fell pregnant. I hope it’s that simple. Xx

No i havent , i had mc @ 14 weeks on july. Been trying but think it will be a while before i get any good news tbh. I have commented on @Theawkwardblonde because she is struggling around pregnant women and so am I ! I dont begrudge anyone but sometimes its just hard!!! Xx

@emc16x I was on the Depo for a very long time, came off that Dec 2018, and then came off the pill May 2019. My periods have been very regular and on time (according to my flo app) since around Sept 2019.
I completely get the friends situation. DH best friend and his partner fell pregnant without even trying. Rest of our friends aren't quite at the stage we are so don't quite get it. The week we found out our friends were pregnant was the same week I found out about my younger sister. That was a torturous week!
Not quite ready to talk to family about it. I'm a true ugly-snotty crier and expect it'll be a right sight for them! Going to see what the results come back with. Fingers crossed for us both.

@MgW1 so sorry to read about your MC. Sending lots of hugs. Agree with the struggling around pregnant friends. So so happy for them...and genuinely excited to be honourary auntie but I so wish I was in their shoes too! X

Same here with our friends. It was a complete accident. They sound out early and told us face to face. I felt so exhausted and tired of being the happy one and keeping a smile on my face when they told us. I kept going to the loo to compose myself! X

@emc16x yes, so last injection was Oct 2018, and discussed with GP about taking the pill for a few months. We had both just started new jobs and were looking to move so felt it wouldn't be the right time to come off contraception completely (ironic considering circumstances, ey)

Ohhh, mastering that happy face when you've never experienced that joy is horrendous. DH seemed less phased by it all than me, but I think seeing his friend with his little one has made it all a little real.

Once I've had my results I'll be sure to share. Some news is good news I suppose, at least it'll tell me something anyway!

I feel for you guys who have close friends and siblings who have announced their pregnancies. I know I would feel the same way as you if I was in the situation. I've got a good friend who is also TTC she started the month after me but she's not pg yet. I just know she will catch on before me though as she's 5 years younger I feel like she's got time on her side more than me.

So after 7 days of high fertility I gave up and took two tests this morning! One shows peak. One shows not at all!

The purple test is the one I’ve been testing with all week. Is there a chance the pink one is wrong because it’s the first test?

I do have slight ewcm...back pain and cramping? Could I have actually hit peak? Xx

Im not sure - does purple pick up estrogen as well? Ring clear blue - there is a helpline number and ask? Are they both Cb? Xx
