Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

Awww sorry to hear that @MgW1 😟
I think I'm an alcoholic but when I get my period, the thought of having a load of wine does always cheer me up a bit 😊 I also highly recommend frozen blueberry daiquiris. I've got slightly obsessed during lockdown! 🤣xx

@XPeach123 I know exactly what you mean. I've had blows with my dh over the last year about the same sort of stuff. I think for me, I just feel like my body isn't really my own when ttc. I watch what I eat, try not to drink, have terrible acne as have to come off birth control that usually helps it, then over analyse every little symptom in mmm feeling....and all the while he just gets to carry on with life pretty much normal with just a bit more sex! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️
It's definitely tough being a girl. And my hubby is hugely kind and supportive. It's just not easy. Xx

@bmeggar my hubby is usually great. I think this month is particularly tougher because it feels like now we are finally making aove with going the docs he thinks we've only just started (not quite sure where he's been these last 18 months..) but I've a terrible habit of keeping everything locked in and then losing my shit with ugly crying and it just overspills.
You're absolutely right though, my body now doesn't feel like my own, and my sex life feels like it's a chore. This is exhausting.

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 13:19

@Bmeggar
How long have you been trying ? Iv prob already ask you 🙈 x

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 13:22

@Bmeggar
Il try the frozen blueberries , i like my wine - may as well enjoy it while i can , cut down to just saturdays and will have weekend off prior to AF but not sure that is even necessary really cos not over doing it. Im going to try and focus on other things this month, been stressing loads and its just not helpful.xx

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 13:25

@MgW1 we've been properly trying since Jan but I came off my pill Oct 2019. We got pregs in July but sadly that came to an end in Sept. So feels like a pretty long time to be back at square one! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Trying to keep optimistic though. There's no obvious reason for a problem as we've both been checked and have a 4yr old together so I'm trying to just stay chilled. It'll happen, I'm sure of it. I just get more impatient with each month that passed! And like you @XPeach123 I find the whole ttc process exhausting!xx

@Bmeggar
Your similar to me! I have 6&4 yr old and miscarried in Aug, i was 14 weeks but it had stopped growing at 11 weeks. And when it does eventually happen Il still be anxious mess!! X

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 13:35

@Bmeggar
Iv just been asked to pick my 6yr old daughter from school as "shes pale and is complaining of tummy ache". Back home 10 mins and she wants her ipad please and can I have a mcdonalds for my tea?! .... and breathe!!! X

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 13:41

@MgW1 aww it's rubbish to be back starting from square 1 again post mc isn't it 😕 Sorry for your loss. That was later than mine which was 9weeks but measuring small. Is that your first mc?

Eugh. Onwards! I really feel positive this month but I'm not sure if that's just my excitement for Christmas filtering through in my subconscious 🙌🤣

Oh bless your daughter! I mean, that's what I feel like doing today too 😀🤗xx

@Bmeggar
Its good to have something else to focus on that is happy although it might be a bit different this yr!
Im gona do a few extra shifts at work to keep me busy , had last week off annual leave and think i was more stressed about testing and pending AF! Yes 1st mc. I think I had a chemical 7 yrs ago. I got preg straight away last time. Not had any of the mid cycle mucus so can only put it down to.the fact my body isnt ready or hormones. The mc affected me badly , was off work 8 weeks only gone back a month ago. I didnt get infec but bled for nearly 4 weeks. Periods have now got back into my usual 30 day cycle which is positive. How have you been post mc ? Started taking evening primrose now which may help things xx

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 14:11

@MgW1 aww that's rough. I'm glad you took the time off to heal though. People underestimate the reality of going through something like that. I really feel strongly that mc needs to be spoken about much more openly. It's so common and yet I knew nothing about it until I was faced with it. 💔

My mc was a bit of a headf*ck. Basically I ended up having a termination at a termination clinic which is just absolutely not somewhere you want to be when desperate for a baby! Long story short, baby was measuring small and had a massive yolk sac which is associated with poor prognosis - chromosome abnormalities, pre-term birth etc, so after a couple of early scans, I was sent home to miscarry. My sister had miscarried years earlier and it was so goddamn awful for her that I didn't want to wait for it to just happen and the hospital wouldn't perform a d&c until the heart stopped. So I waited for a week and nothing happened, everything still looking the same. So I decided to take back the control and end it. I just had this awful feeling it might keep ticking away for weeks - or even months! And then I might be face with a late mc at 20weeks or something horrific. I couldn't take it. Not an easy decision to make, and one that still haunts me. But I believe it was the right decision.
ANYway, it meant the post-surgery was very easy for me thankfully. Very little bleeding or pain, so I think that allowed me to recover mentally a bit quicker. Xx

@Markygirl1995
No that is not a peak. Download the pre mom app for next time as you upload pics and it will tell.you if low , high or peak. What cycle day are you on now hun? Just have intercourse every other day for the next week or so. I have ditched opk's , i have got preg without them before , tried them last month for 1st time and they caused me too much stress. If you are ttc , stress is the last thing you need xxx

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 16:04

@Bmegger
Oh my word what a journey you have been on 😥 it sounds like you made the right decision a away although I bet it was very difficult for you both. Well got sent home too and told to wait for nature! No D&c for me due to covid. It didnt help that my friend had an opertation to correct a stumped toe ( she had it broken and re-set) in a private hospital as an NHS patient 2 days after my mc. It felt v.bitter because the psychological pain was enough, I could have done without the physical pain too!!
Iv moved on now though, feeling better. After hornones had settled down, I was able to reflect and believe it can't have been right. And like yourself , I was told it was likely chromosomal and if thats the case then its better it happened earlier than further along.
I have pregnant colleague at work which is tough, just try to avoid them.
We will get there wont we.... my friends tell to stop thinking about it and have a few drunken fumbles at xmas !!! So il try that !!! 🤣🤣
Ditched the opks , not doing any testing , if my boobs start hurting then I know its bingo!!!! Xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 06/11/2020 16:21

Ok, 7 dpo and I just want to know! Feeling impatient now, but not going to test until 12 dpo at least. No symptoms really, sore breasts though. That could be nothing though. Hope everyone is doing well this month.

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 16:34

@MgW1 i can't believe you weren't offered d&c! The rules with covid are just bonkers to do with pregnancy. I'm quite fortunate that my local hospital seems fairly reasonable, but friends who live in different parts of the country have had a terrible time of it!
What doesn't kill you certainly does make you stronger. Women are all bloody superheroes in my mind. 💪

Oh I totally get you on the colleague preggo thing. 4 of my friends are due within a couple of weeks of when my due date should have been and it wrecked me a little with their announcements just as I was coming to terms with my mc. I'm genuinely happy for them. But that doesn't mean I'm not also envious it isn't me! 😭

But YES, we will get there! And let's face it, drunken fumbles are way more fun than pissing on sticks 🤣🤣🤣

I find opks confusing too. I think I drink too much water so they are always too diluted! I never get anything more than a 'high' and even that can fluctuate day to day...which is annoying!xx

OP posts:
Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 16:36

@GeorgiaMcGraw I'm 6dpo today and likewise just want to skip ahead to 12dpo! Just going to try and keep busy....easier said than done though 🤪🤪🤪

@MgW1 I dont get it 😔 dtd last night and night before I think I'm gonna miss my window opportunity as OH likes q drink and chill on the weekend

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 16:45

@Markygirl1995 try not to worry. My sticks don't usually get darker than that and I managed to conceive by dtd around the sticks looking 'high'. Do it as much as you want to and don't stress. My mate did it once in a whole month, 7 days before she thought she was going to ovulate and somehow is currently pregs!

OP posts:
Markygirl1995 · 06/11/2020 16:49

@Bmeggar because its high though is that entailing i have a high chance of fertility or just near o day? Xx

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 16:54

@Markygirl1995
Yes dont worry hun. My husband is the same ! Well if you dtd last night then let him have a beer tonight and forget about it 🤪 and if you do another test tomorrow and its darker then dtd tomorrow and have sunday off. When i got my peak it was actually with first morning urine. So if your only using the cheapy sticks test 3 times tomoz? Iv chucked my opks in the bin so im alright giving you advice! 🤣 xxx

Markygirl1995 · 06/11/2020 16:57

@MgW1 very true maybe I should let him recover hahaha I just dont another october baby too many birthdays

Bmeggar · 06/11/2020 17:02

@Markygirl1995 the high just means you've got enough of the LH hormone in you to make the line bolder. It might be you're soon to ovulate but it's not 100% saying that so no guarantees. I also don't know what sort of indication they give you (if any?) about your fertility? All I know is that I seem to register all month with a very faint line and then round about my predicted ovulation date, the opks get a bit darker. Ultimately you probably can't rely too heavily on them. Give em a go and as @MgW1 says, try doing them a few times a day to see if you notice a change. Log the results in an app so you can start to see any patterns each month if you don't get pregnant straight away x

Hey @SunnydazeQ happy friday! How are you? The book is called Bump and Grind the A-Z of trying to get pregnant. I got it as a second hand copy off amazon but there might be some left about on ebay etc 😊 Hows your week been? Ive come down with a horrible cold which is making me feel bleurgh! Hoping it wont effect my chances this month. Have DTD for about 5 days and inc. OD day but then havent since cause I just havent felt like it 😕 hoping it wont bugger up things xx

gracie2307 · 06/11/2020 17:07
