Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

Hey @SRyellow! How are you? I use the Clearblue Digital OPK tests which show flashing smiley faces when estrogen levels rise then a solid smiley when peak levels detected. When we first started TTC, i was using cheap OPKs from amazon, however I drove myself insane with misreading trying to find my positive peak and ending up mistiming everything 🙈 I would recommend them purely to stop any confusion 😊 it also syncs up to your phone via bluetooth so you can track everything via the clearblue app. I am on CD16 so we are on similar cycles! How are you finding things? Xx

MgW1 · 03/11/2020 21:12

@millionairesshortbread4
Only just started ttc post mc in July.
Wouldnt it be nice if we could have some good news by the end of this dreadful year?! Have you done a test yet? X

SRyellow · 03/11/2020 21:33

@gracie2307 I might give that a go next month as these sticks are driving me mad! I did you the static smiley clear blue before but that doesn’t give you much notice.
No signs of anything much going on at the moment, other than temp dip and a few headaches. Just feeling impatient! Have you had any smileys yet? X

gracie2307 · 03/11/2020 21:42

@SRyellow Definetley recommend! One box has around 25 testing sticks so it does last a while. Yes, I now finally have both flashing and static smileys so in effect gives you 4 fertile days or so. When i first started using them, I would go straight from nothing to peak which was hard but since taking pregnacare vitamins/be healthier with diet and exercise, I am getting flashing ones too. Never thought I would get so bloody excited over a stupid smiley face on a test before haha 😄🙈 Ahh bless you, I hate when its just a waiting period! Hows your journey been so far? Xx

I’m taking the pregnacare too but only just started this cycle. When I was doing the clear blue ones, the smiley was so exciting, not so much the O! This is my 6th cycle, I know it’s not that long but it feels longer than that (probably this year hasn’t helped as I’d usually be more distracted!). I’ve only managed to find an LH surge for 2 cycles so it’s making me a bit anxious but the temp charts have been pretty consistent. That’s great news that you’re getting flashing smileys too, good to have a nice long window and notice! Xx

Dogmum13 · 03/11/2020 23:14

@gracie2307 I'm cd 16 too!

SarahMumof1DS · 04/11/2020 00:23

@Theawkwardblonde, @MamaPheebz, @Sunflowers81, @SunnydazeQ, thank you all for your well wishes and support. Sorry I've been out the loop for a couple of days. DH seems to have turned a corner with his mindset after his experience at the hospital on Sunday. He said the bad experience was make or break and something clicked in his head that it wasn't going to break him. Since then he's been really positive. I'm praying it's going to stay that way and that he doesn't go downhill again. Hope his appointment today will be a positive experience and give him clarification and reassurance. Hopefully we can get a diagnosis soon and we can start living a normal life again and put it all behind us.

I hope I didn't miss anyone off my message. Wishing you all well and hoping to see some BFP's from you soon. xx

millionairesshortbread4 · 04/11/2020 06:52

@MgW1 sorry to hear about your MC 😞
We've been TTC from June for #1. Haven't tested! But just got a positive result at 6am for COVID 🙈

SunnydazeQ · 04/11/2020 07:14

@gracie2307 that book sounds very good because sometimes it's difficult staying positive while TTC. Remind me of the name please? X

@SRyellow I'm with @gracie2307 on the ClearBlue with the smileys. I think the first or second month, we used it, I fell pregnant. Takes the guess work out of it.

@SarahMumof1DS happy to hear your hubby is being positive. Sending hugs your way xx

@millionairesshortbread4 oh no!!! Sorry to read this. Do you have symptoms? Please take care of yourself and sending positivity your way for a speedy recovery!! Not what you need when you're TTC x

Markygirl1995 · 04/11/2020 08:01

Me and the OH havent DTD yet, I'm worried that were not going to. But I havent had a positive OPK yet or any symptoms to say weve missed it

MgW1 · 04/11/2020 08:12

Anyone tried preceive or conceive plus ? They are more expensive than others but thinking of trying ? X

Markygirl1995 · 04/11/2020 10:24

Hi is this peak? Going to DTD tonight and tomorrow

MgW1 · 04/11/2020 10:43

@Markygirl1995
No that is low/ medium.
When did you mc? I didnt ovulate at all for first 2 months which i have been told is normal due to stress post mc xxx

MgW1 · 04/11/2020 10:48

@Markygirl1995
Try again later today and in the morning. Its getting there. Ignore above message ; someone on my ttc group post mc has posted almost identical pic on their opk and i got mixed up sorry xx

PurplePops · 04/11/2020 10:58

@MgW1 I've been using conceive plus, I got the big tube version rather than individual applicators.

@Markygirl1995 are they the one-step? I really struggled reading those ones, found the lines always looked faint. I've started using easy@home OPKs and find them much clearer and easier to read. Definitely looks like it's nearly peak though :) x

Sohe · 04/11/2020 11:32

Hi @Markygirl1995 are those one step? If so it’s not quite positive. I have a picture of mine when they hit that positive peak. I would start testing at least twice a day now. I did morning and sometime between 5-8pm as that suits my shift patterns. Good luck!! X

@Sohe thank you that's a good picture to go by. So unsure as this is the first month of TTC i havent a clue with my first it just happened. I'll try hold wee and test again later like you around 5-8 xxx

Markygirl1995 · 04/11/2020 12:47

@PurplePops hey, yes they are I've seen people using them as they're cheap i just bought them. They are hard to read. If this month we dont succeed I'll buy some of those to try as I have premom app xxx

Markygirl1995 · 04/11/2020 12:48

@MgW1 that's ok! I'll test again later tonight xxx

MgW1 · 04/11/2020 12:54

@Markygirl1995
Its defo nearly there! 🤞🏻xx

CookieMonster3001 · 04/11/2020 13:01

I used to use the one step ones, and I agree they were a pain to read. I now use easy@home ones and they are so much better, alongside a CB digital which helps to confirm it.
On CD10 today and got my 2nd flashy and predicting my peak solid tomorrow, with ovulation most likely on CD12 (been the same for the last 3 months!) So DTD CD7, CD9 and planning to DTD CD11, CD12 and CD13. Hopefully that will be enough.
Started taking EPO this month to help increase EWCM but I haven't really noticed any difference, apart from being a tad bit wetter (sorry TMI) hoping its working in the places it needs to!
