@BellaBella84 your guess is as good as mine! But what I did find reassuring is when people submit sperm samples for IUI / IVF they are allowed to bring the sample from home provided they get it to the hospital within 30 mins....

So I guess 30mins is when things start to go downhill. But I’m pleased he has said he’ll come round twice, and I always knew doing it this way there would be limitations, and also that this would be a long journey for me.

Let’s see what happens....I can see it being some sort of comedy scramble involving a stop watch and lots of panic!

I was thinking of cycling over to get it as it’s potentially quicker but wasn’t sure the jiggling would be good for the sample! Where would I even put it???

I started AF today 😭 having a bit of a rubbish day, sons playing up massively with tantrums and am in a lot of pain. Also twinned with the first day of lockdown so feeling quite down in the dumps.

@BettyM90 I'm so sorry for you, period + not pregnant really is the double whammytmd emotions. I once cried until lunchtime. Are you able to get out to a park for you both to blow off some steam?

Hi I was just wondering if any of you could help me out? I came off the mini pill 4 weeks ago and tests keep showing what I thought was an evap line but I just ran a test under water and no line appeared. What do you think?

@BellaBella84 I think my husband is quite gutted as I think he thought we’d done it this month 😢 we’ve been for a walk around the duck pond but I have got PMS cramps from hell 😩 We’re just going to head home and put a Christmas film on...hopefully that will cheer me up!

@BettyM90 sorry to hear this, it really is a triple whammy with lockdown as well. I think we also feel worse because of the hormonal changes. I think a walk is a good shout.

I let myself have a couple of days to feel sad and sorry for myself and then try to put all my focus on the next cycle. Obviously might not work for everyone but I’ve found it’s helped me to feel like I have some semblance of control ..... sending you lots of good vibes x

@BettyM90 I monitor my BBT as well. I had a few months of fails, you’ll probably be much better than me, but the main thing that has made a difference for me is checking it at the same time every morning. I was surprised at how much difference even 1 hour made!

@Supermathsdoc I’m going to attempt to set an alarm for the same time each morning...we shall see how that goes! 🤣 do you input yours into a chart? I’ve got the Femometer app which I think plots it for you but not 100% sure how to interpret it?!
Am I right in thinking your temp drops after ovulation and then if you have conceived it remains high for 5+ days? (Complete novice, as you can tell)! X

@BettyM90 I got the thermometer that goes with the Premom app so it puts it in automatically.

I’m not an expert but from what I understand, temps are generally lower before you ovulate and may drop down to the lowest point the day before you ovulate, then rise afterwards (that’s how you know you’ve ovulated) and then they stay high during the 2ww- then either drop the day before your period, or stay high if you’re pregnant....

Is it too late to join for November? AF due 13th. First official wait but been not careful for 5 months.

Do you normally see the rise in temperature after ovulation? Is it quite a slight rise?
I’m stupidly having a flap about it...just sat here thinking, what if I don’t actually ovulate? X

@BettyM90 mine usually 0.5 degrees so it’s a definite change. Most of the apps will draw a ‘cover line’ which separates the pre and post ovulation temperatures by looking at averages which is helpful.

@AHobbyaweek welcome! Of course it’s not too late, sounds like you’re well into the 2WW, when are you planning to test?

I'm going to try not to obsess and test too early but my app says AF due on Friday.
When I was TTC my first I went through so many sticks really early and it was a stressful time.
Half of me enjoyed it and half stressed each time.
I am craving carbs at the moment but wondering if that is normal cycle stuff.

@Supermathsdoc is 0.5 degrees quite a lot? I took mine this morning and it was 36.64c. How are you feeling about this cycle?
@2495KaJa do you normally get those cravings before AF? I personally would wait until my period was due to test, but I get that the temptation is very hard to ignore! X

Was being really chill 😎 and not obsessing this month. Taking it easy, not symptom spotting. Was just sick about 6 times while out trying to do my grocery shopping (of course the only time I'm in public 😂). Still got a week till AF tell me to give my head a wobble lol

My brains gone into overdrive. All the food in my house smells. It was coffee that set me off being sick while I was out. I seriously thought I might faint from wearing my mask and was soo hot. I'm fucking ravenous but pretty sure I'll throw up if I eat. And strangely no cramps or anything but I've had a dead leg for two days. I'll probably be fine tomorrow and feel really stupid 😂
