Not much to report here...still sick...still tired and a sad lack of Bailey's in my Christmas life haha. 2 weeks today until scan day, although time is passing surprisingly quickly. How are you @GreenApplesYo ?

Glad you're taking things in your stride @Cc7750 I wish I was a lot more level-headed when it comes to these things 😆 Are you going to try to complete before the stamp duty holiday? There's not much time left!

@HerringGull That's lovely - a nice calm AF is always welcome. I don't think I'd appreciate a heavy, crampy flow constantly reminding me that I'm not pregnant yet 😂

I'm ok now thanks. This morning I just felt so miserable. I had a cervical biopsy today (ouch!) so I can't DTD so I may have to turkey baster some spermies into me while I ovulate, which could be any day now! I don't think I'll be successful this month anyway but it's fine, I'll just focus on other things now.

@unCliche sorry about the biopsy, sounds sore ☹️☹️ I’ve been a bit miserable recently too, just want AF to finish. Also not feeling too hopeful for this month but feeling ok about that, Christmas as a distraction!!

Hi everyone!

I'm OK @AKC88 thanks for asking. Not feeling as sick now I'm at 9wks. I had a scan yesterday and everything is looking fine, was magical seeing the heartbeat. My 12wk nhs scan will actually be a 13wk scan on 4th Jan, I was too impatient to wait.

Hope things work out OK for all of you waiting on test results etc. Having to wait is awful.

@unCliche hope you aren't too sore 🙁

@unCliche I’d love to get it done by stamp duty but it’s doubtful but no harm trying (if my house sells and I find one!) I’m hoping the gov will extend it but we’ll see!
And biopsy not nice hope it’s not too painful now, I got lazored for cervical erosion a few years back (apparently that’s what can happened for being on the pill too long), so I can relate to your fanny ouch!

Unfortunately they didn't ring today. I tried ringing back and the lady said I was booked in to have more levels done tomorrow so I'm taking it as a good sign? Just got myself so worked up waiting for the phone call and then I either missed it or they didn't ring.
At least I'll find out tomorrow what the level is and have more done then

So did we work out there are 5 of us trying this month? I've just had a nice big glass of baileys wrapping Xmas presents and feeling a bit more chilled this month. I say that, but I also bought some form of pre-seed with my thermometer lol So we will see how we get on. But massively looking forward to the fun time over this next week 💥😆

Hiiii @Pudding01 I actually think there is something to be said for pre-seed, used it last time and got a bfp pretty quick, and again last month and had the chemical. Could be coincidence but who knows!!

I’m struggling with temping a bit- have a tendency to wake frequently in the night and often need a wee. Particularly at about 5am! So been temping then, but then have the odd day where I don’t wake till alarms at
6:30, or when I wake needing to pee at 4 so have to do it then as know I won’t have enough sleep AFTER to do it accurately. It’s so interesting to analyse but I just feel like my chart is all over the place because of that and probably not accurate anyway!!!! Pfft.

@EllyNC I’m the same. Last night I was tossing and turning and my temp was lower but I’ve decided I can’t get it perfect. It’s my first month of temping so it’s all a bit of an experiment. I might share with the group in the next week for you all to say ‘looks ok / or odd’ .. never heard of pre-seed I’m going to google it

@unCliche thanks hun, I’m good.. I’ve actually had it done twice.. luckily he checked inside and said there is nothing wrong with me, he said I was actually ovulating at the time. That was two years ago but the pro was that although it was a horrid little procedure I got a little bonus female health check for free.. it could have all changed in 2 years (in your 30s) but all good.. how are you feel today, hopefully no more discomfort x

Think it's worth just keeping going with the temping. This new cycle (cycle two temping for me) is much smoother looking than the last one, so maybe I'm getting better at it! If it does end up going zigzaggy like the last one though, I think I'll try vaginal temping next cycle as that's supposed to be more accurate. Definitely share your chart whenever you like - I love looking at other people's
Is pre-seed just for if you don't have loads of EWCM? Is it basically EWCM in a tube?

@Pudding01 glad you're feeling chilled. Baileys is a totally welcome bonus of not being pregnant! If we'd got pregnant last cycle we'd have been in the throes of morning sickness right over Christmas, which would not have been fun. Silver linings!

@HerringGull few more days of temping and I’ll share... all this talk of baileys made me open the bottle a few days back to add to a coffee... it tasted awful, I think the things gone off but then if I’d used my brain I should have worked out, anything cream based prob doesn’t last a year in a cupboard!! Good excuse to buy the new salted caramel one

Levels gone from 171 to 350 in 48 hours!
They're doing a repeat tomorrow and then hoping to scan on Friday. I'm almost afraid to be happy until I get the scan but it's great about the levels xx

Wicked news!! And it goes to prove you can have a what feels like a period and still be pregnant!

@coffeewithmilk That's amazing news! So pleased for you. You must be so relieved. Try and relax until the scan but I think with how your hCG levels have gone up, there'll be nothing to worry about 💕

@EllyNC291 Nope, I've never self-inseminated before! I'll put in a little pre-seed and stick the cup (filled with DHs swimmers) in! I still think having a random looking chart is fine because all you're really checking for is a sustained temp shift.

@Cc7750 Ok phew! Glad it wasn't anything serious. The terms they use to describe things always sounds so scary! I feel much better thanks. No longer sore so hopefully I can get back to business in a few days.

@HerringGull Amazing to hear your temps are looking better. How far into AF did they eventually drop down?

CD15 and I still haven't got a positive OPK! And I definitely haven't ov'd yet because I still have EWCM 😱 Should I be worried? Especially with my short LP?

@unCliche I don't think you should worry. It's normal for follicular phase to vary a bit I think. Mine varies by a few days every cycle. Even if you're normally really regular it doesn't mean you can't have a different cycle every now and again :)
My temps dropped on the last day of last cycle and again on CD1 of this cycle, which I think is more what is supposed to happen so that's good.

@coffeewithmilk really happy it has turned out so well for you! Just as well you tested and you knew, because imagine if you had just assumed it was your period and then gone on a massive bender? Yikes!

@unCliche TTI and over share but I struggle with CM monitoring as after you DTD how do you know if it’s your CM or a mixture! I find that it can lurk for a few days so I can’t really monitor CM for a few days after.
I am 5/6DPO and would say that I had clear watery / sticky wetter CM until yesterday but it is a true reflection or a total mash up of fluids! Sorry to be graphic but what I’m saying is that CM close to bedroom activity is hard to determine... unless I’m being a Wally?!

@HerringGull Yeah that's pretty normal for temps to do that, except if you're me (because my body sucks)! Are your follicular phase temps around the same value as last cycles? I decided to continue temping and my temps have gone up to luteal phase temps 🤷‍♀️

@Cc7750 Haha! Don't worry about TMI, we all overshare here so it's fine 😂 I think it's definitely really hard knowing whether it's watery CM or semen. After DTD I'm usually very wet and watery inside so I never check until 24 hours has passed (but having it lurk for a few days sounds annoying!) but I've read about a water test, where if you put it into water, CM will stay the same and not dissolve whereas semen will - I've never tried it myself though so can't say how true that is. And this sounds awkward to say but you could smell it? Semen smells like semen and CM smells like CM - not that that helps 😂
