TTC 8 months in, still early days but starting to feel more and more every time AF arrives

Thought I'd start this post as hoping there are some lovely ladies in a similar boat to me.

DH and I are now 8 months in TTC and no luck. We both really want it to happen though he does have a son already so not always as emotional about AFs arrival every month as I am.

I know it's early days still and some have to go a lot longer but I'm now starting to get to the worried/upset stage. Get pangs of sadness when I see a baby bump or something pregnancy related in the shops, on TV or online.

Would love to hear and support others who are in the same boat as me

@MJM1608 Unfortunately AF is here, lighter than normal so far but not IB. Husband is getting me my chocolate and wine 😆 🍷 At least i’m early as then I can end this TWW and onto the next cycle!

No news from me - not testing for a few days but don’t feel any different. Nausea around 3pm each day and high temp in the morn but doubt that means much! AF due in 6 days, more painful waiting 🙃🙃 losing my mind but determined not to test every day as it’s so disappointing! xxx

@MJM1608 Noo be positive you’re not joining me! You never know, 6 days to go! 💕 I’m okay, first day i’m always quite sad but we’re going to go on a nice dog walk together with my pup and then relax and watch some tv and just spend some time together 🥰

Smart to leave it a few days, try just keep busy! Weird to have the nausea the same time each day.. you never know! 🤞 ✨ Any nice Sunday plans? What do you do as a job? x

Apart from symptom spotting I’m walking the dog, baking my friend a Nutella birthday cake, going for lunch & go to bed at 8pm probs 😊😂 I’m an event manager for a university! What about you? xx

@MJM1608 I have a Shiba Inu (Had two dogs, lost one last august and then the other just before lockdown this year 🥺 both to old age so I felt empty so we got another lil pup 🐕) What breed do you have?

Ooh Nutella birthday cake sounds amaze 🤤 Keep yourself busy; not long to wait now and hopefully accompanied by a BFP! I’m a client and training manager for an IT company 😊 No furlough for me either time! 😂 💕 ✨

@2020TTC Sorry to hear AF has arrived for you 😥 day 1 of new cycle is always the worst isnt it. Bet you're looking forward to some nice wine and choccie tonight though! Your dog is adorable! I'm a big animal lover, we have a 5 year old Lab he's amazing ❤ and 2 kitties.

AF due for me next Thurs, weirdly not got any symptoms at all yet usually I've got some pulling cramps maybe sore boobs etc but nothing as of yet! Stay positive @MJM1608 there's no reason why you won't get a BFP this month!!

Awww god sorry to hear about losing your pups, can’t imagine!! Gorgeous dog!!! 😍 my dog Peanut is an Australian Labradoodle! She’s 1, can’t imagine life without her! Sounds like a great job! I was on furlough for 3 months & thats when I learnt how to bake 😂 Hope you’re full of choco and wine tonight? Xxx

@MJM1608 Peanut! That's a cute name shes gorgeous. My dog also knows when I'm sad he comes and sits on me and licks me until I'm smiling again, its hard to stay upset when he does that. They're so intuitive. I could never be without him and he's so great with little children too so I know he will be ok when baby comes along.

Oh wow😍 that looks amazing. Will definitely be adding that to my recipe book! Haha I learned to bake also during my 6 month furlough! I've used a few recipes from janespatisserie before too.

Hi everyone! Here’s to a fresh week - hope everyone has a good one 😊 I’m about 13 dpo now and AF is actually due tomorrow (miscalculated it as sat).. hopefully I’m out of misery by the end of the week & don’t think I’ll test for a few days (if AF doesn’t arrive).

@SparkyLauz they’re amazing aren’t they - bring so much joy in these difficult times! 🐶 Baking is a good way to keep you busy, she has loads of good recipes! Although I give all the baking away so I don’t put on weight 😂 hope you get your BFP this week 🙏🏻 Xxx

Sorry if I've not tagged anyone.
Has anyone here got bad skin since coming off the pill? It's making me miserable. It goes up and down through the month but I always have loads, this weekend it is getting worse and I try not to care but I just feel tearful.i know there's many worse things in the world but I lack confidence as it is. From what I was told and read after a few months it should clear up (it's a bit of a hormonal reaction to coming off the pill) but I'm nearing the end of cycle 10 and it is worse than ever which is what is making me feel worse, what if it never goes now? Sorry to derail the thread a bit but I feel so crap and self conscious x

@MJM1608 ha I've been catching up on the thread and I'm glad you just said you miscalculated when AF was due as when you said you tested BFN and still had 9 days to go until AF I got a bit concerned lol. AFs don't really go past 16-17 days at the very most! Sorry to hear about the BFN though :( Glad you got a puppy and lots of cake to distract yourself with!

Jealous of all these pups ladies! My cat died 2 years ago (he was more like a dog though) and I haven't had a pet since. Will definitely get something once the renovations on our house are done next year - but hopefully a baby will scupper those plans first!

Hi ladies, just a quick one! Was determined not to test but hubby thought I should... this is 12pm today. 13 dpo I think! I’m not celebrating yet by any means as I had a chemical pregnancy in September so cautiously optimistic that this is my rainbow baby! I will do a digital tomorrow morning & let you guys know! Seems to be a fairly dark line so fingers crossed - pray for me this is my sticky bean🙏🏻 No symptoms so utterly shocked. xxx

LoveBug sorry to hear your skin is giving you grief, could it be your diet or are you drinking lots of water? Hope you’re ok & it does clear up over time!

Juno - for someone who is so obsessed with cycles, dates etc I feel so daft that I got my AF due date wrong 😂 my app says 14th because that’s what it was last month but that’s a bit late! Sorry to hear about your cat - hopefully you get another pet soon, their love is unconditional!

@Juno231 have also seen that you are on the RHR thread. Mine varies between 54-56bmp but didn’t have a rise. Will let you know if it increases! It’s so low compared to others... I’m putting it down to the fact that I exercise 5 times a week 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

@Lovebug06 sorry you're not feeling very confident at the moment. Makesure you keep really hydrated and eat lots of veggies to try help the skin. The thing I've noticed with myself since coming off the pill is my hair seems to be thinning out! I notice i lose a lot more hair than before, which has worried me a bit but its not coming out in clumps or anything. I heard that this can be to do with hormones.

@Juno231 sorry to hear about your cat 😓 1 of my cats is very much like a dog too, she's very greedy and also needy haha

@MJM1608 Don't be daft, I'm not in the slightest bit disappointed, I know my time is going to be soon and you really do deserve it ❤ youre not allowed to leave this thread though you need to keep up on our journeys until all of us get that BFP ha 😊

@Lovebug06 I got really bad post pill acne around 6 months after coming off the pill. I'm now 14 months off the pill and although it has improved a bit it's still nowhere near as good as it used to be. Just wanted to say you're not alone in this and I'm not sure what to do about it either :/
