TTC 8 months in, still early days but starting to feel more and more every time AF arrives

Thought I'd start this post as hoping there are some lovely ladies in a similar boat to me.

DH and I are now 8 months in TTC and no luck. We both really want it to happen though he does have a son already so not always as emotional about AFs arrival every month as I am.

I know it's early days still and some have to go a lot longer but I'm now starting to get to the worried/upset stage. Get pangs of sadness when I see a baby bump or something pregnancy related in the shops, on TV or online.

Would love to hear and support others who are in the same boat as me

Congratulations all!

No news here, except 5 failed Letrozole cycles, and not any closer to IVF either. Still trying, month after month. On my 28th cycle now 🤯 I can't believe this thread started at 8 months. Jeez.

@MarMar123 Congratulations! I’m sorry I didn’t see your update at the time. That’s wonderful news.

@SparkyLauz Thanks for tagging me and I’m wishing you all the luck in the world that your little emby sticks! It’s still a big achievement to get to this point so it must be a fighter! When is your OTD and will you wait until then?

@JeanieJ Congratulations! I bet you keep pinching yourself?! The cycle before IVF is crazy, I’ve heard of that happening with other ladies, there must be something in it!

@acaciabluebell Sorry to hear you’re still in the trenches with it. Do you have a plan or timescale you’re working towards? Yes it’s crazy where the thread started.

Like Jeanie, I hope this doesn’t hurt anyone. My first IVF cycle has recently finished and we were incredibly grateful to have a blastocyst that stuck. First ever BFP of my life so very surreal and emotional. I’m 9 weeks now and it hasn’t been straightforward as had some bleeding at 6 weeks, but little one seems ok on scans. I found the IVF really tough and am still on meds due to the bleed so not feeling the best, but after so much bad news on this shitty fertility ‘journey’ we really needed something positive like this to happen. I still can’t say ‘I’m pregnant’ out loud but just hoping and praying this pregnancy will continue.

Congratulations for all the BFPs ladies :)) so pleased for you all!!! It’s madness to me that I thought at the time of commenting on this at 8 months ttc, that, that was long? LOL!!!! We can all laugh together at that can’t we lol.

Unfortunately the same as @acaciabluebell here, officially 28 months ttc… and I’ll be 28 this year.. and we started when I was 25! Jeeeeesus lol. Feeling good though the last few months, not really focussing on it anymore. It’s our last year of trying naturally before we go down another route. The drs have already put in a referral for us, but have explained we may not be eligible for all help as DH has a child already. But we’re saving anyway, just in case. But I just have a gut feeeling it’s going to happen naturally, I can’t explain it!!! I just do. My skin has finally cleared up from the pill, I notice EWCM every month.. something feels better now.. I hope haha!!

We’ve had endless pregnancy announcements throughout ttc, best friends, both my SIL’s. So that fucking sucks, but I know my journey will make us stronger, and part of who we are.

I’m sorry for anyone else still struggling. And I hope you have just a little bit of hope like I do 🤍

Hey guys,
I'm back on the ttc boat.

Sadly I miscarried over the weekend after 11 weeks 😢 it was brutal and I'm still going through it.
DH and I had been trying for 20 months and had been just about to start IVF when we conceived naturally.

It'll take a while for my body to recover and then I can give the fertility clinic a call and decide next steps.

Really hoping my rainbow baby can come soon. Xx

@JeanieJ So so sorry to hear this 😞 Sending you love and light. Take all the time you need to process and grieve. We are all here for you ❤️

Hope pregnancies are going well for those who have been blessed with BFPs ❤️

TTC wise... AF started yesterday so officially on month 30 TTC my 🌈 baby. But some good news...I finally have an appointment with my fertility/IVF clinic on Monday! Really hope it's good news and we can start IVF soon 🤞🏽

How are you getting on @Izzie94? And anyone else who is still TTC x

JeanieJ · 17/05/2022 20:46

Hi @acaciabluebell so sorry you're still here too 💔
How did your fertility appointment go?

I'm gonna ttc naturally for the Summer and then if nothing happens, I'll start my IVF cycle. Luckily, we had everything set up before I got pregnant, so I just need to book in for baseline scans & bloodwork when I get a period, then start the injections the following month. 🤞🏻
The fertility clinic said I should have 2/3 periods after the MC to build up a lining ... I'm fine with this because I'm pretty fragile atm & the idea of walking into IVF after a miscarriage feels overwhelming.

Currently waiting on my first post miscarriage period before I can do anything though. It'll be a relief when it comes ... I was testing positive pregnant up until 5 days ago, but had ovulation signs too 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
