Ah sorry for being a miserable moo 😞 The most disheartening thing about my ex is their affair ended in her pregnancy 😒 and they are still together now so I see how much my kids enjoy having a younger sibling. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him anymore (shudder) but why do the no-goods always end up with what they want (or what others want and they take for granted?) I do try not to worry, but my habits of living with that dipstick for so long die hard, and sometimes I feel I push DP away out of automatic defence.

Anxiety is definitely much higher before AF,l too, which I suspect is only hours away but a bit delayed due to my huge stress levels yesterday!

Anyway, welcome @GuessHowMuch 🤗 What suggests that? Surely just being healthy is the best we can do! And keep trying as best we can 🥰

GuessHowMuch · 04/01/2021 18:17

@Kitekat81I’m 37. I have irregular cycles (including some 14 day cycles) and lots of stomach cramps and awful indigestion. I went to the GP this time last year and they did blood tests. My LH was high during my luteal phase and the doctor suggested that as menopause approaches and there are fewer eggs to release LH levels rise and rise because they don’t get the hormone feedback to say an egg has been released. I was offered more blood tests but I’ve got two DCs already (six and four) so don’t think I’d do anything differently than I am now - eating relatively well (after the overdose of green Pringles and Quality Street from Christmas) and aiming to lose a few lbs. I didn’t get a positive on an OPK this cycle so absolutely no idea what’s going on. What’s your TTC journey been like?

Kitekat81 · 04/01/2021 18:57

@GuessHowMuch thanks so much for replying 😊 I'm 39, ttc #1. Came off the pill in September 2019 and was 'not trying not preventing' to start with, but have been properly trying since April 2020. I had some irregular cycles in January and February (2 bleeds per month) and the same again in August, which is what has worried me a little. I've had blood tests with my GP which they said were 'normal', and have my first appointment at the fertility clinic in a couple of weeks so I expect they might look at the blood test results in a bit more detail. I think you've got the right idea, just focus on being as healthy as possible (not like me who's just eaten nearly a whole Terry's chocolate orange 🙈) and lots of dtd. If you are wanting more information about what is going on with your body I recommend temping (not sure if you already do that). When I had the irregular cycles in Jan/Feb I had no idea what was going on, but in August I was doing OPK's and temping so knew that it was because I hadn't ovulated. Would completely understand though that you might not want the extra hassle of temping and prefer to stick with the chilled out approach! 😄

Fingers crossed

selina37 · 05/01/2021 07:19

Hi @LittleAurora Is this your first?

@Loladoodle caught you up cycle twin - AF invited herself this morning! 🙄

Loladoodle · 05/01/2021 09:02

@selina37 oh no! Sorry to hear that 😞 hope you are doing ok. Hugs!

And I know what you mean re your ex it is rubbish that it sometimes appears that the person who did wrong got a nice life however, karma will catch up with him it always does!

Our time will come we will get our bfps and sibling for our children 🙏

Happyalwayswinning · 05/01/2021 09:03

Good morning all,
Sorry to all who's af showed up.

So my hubby gave me a proper telling off. Apparently i am not putting any effort in ttc 🙄. To be fair he's not lying. All that I have done is ' not prevent'.

So I am now tentatively going to put more effort in 😁, after this cycle.
I am already taking vitamin D and folic acid.
Af due 11th. My aunt has given me some natural remedies to use the day after AF to ovulation day to try.

Sorry for the long post.
Sending positive energy to you all 🙏🏾💜❤️💖

Kitekat81 · 05/01/2021 10:02

@Happyalwayswinning that's interesting, it's usually us nagging our oh's to put more effort in, rather than the other way around 😄 What natural remedies are you going to try?x

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 10:35

@Kitekat81 ikr. Will be doing cloves and fenugreek.
Day after af. Do a vaginal steam and start the clove tea.
Day 1 after af am (on empty stomach) and pm (before bed). Clove tea
Afternoon - fenugreek seed tea.
I will do this until the day of confirm LH surge.
I plan to do this each month.

She said cloves and fenugreek increase fertility alot. Apparently she had family members do this who initially thought they were infertile. One of them got pregnant at 47yrs old.
Well she's my great auntie and I will listen to her 😀.
🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Side note : clove tea has a very strong taste but its doable 😊😊😁😁

Kitekat81 · 05/01/2021 11:12

@Happyhappy37 omg what is a vaginal steam??? 😯😯😯 Have never heard of that!!!

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 11:25

@Kitekat81 vaginal steaming is basically sitting over a bucket of boiling water for about 20 minutes. (you can add herbs in the water) Its quite common culturally for me. Last time I did that was after birth for about a week or two (culturally it's a must to do after and after a period)
(if my mum knows that i don't steam after period I would so get the eye🙄)
Definitely going to start it back though

I've noticed that they have all sorts of vaginal steaming things these days but I will stick to the old school ways.

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 11:29

To be clear: you boil the kettle pour it in the bucket and sit over it for 20 minutes.

Kitekat81 · 05/01/2021 11:52

@Happyhappy37 wow every day's a school day! Do you feel different after you've done it? Can you feel the benefits?

LittleAurora · 05/01/2021 12:19

I've been taking proceive max. I have been mixing it into smoothies. We are trying to sway boy so have been eating bananas and meat and fish lol.
Any of you swaying for gender or any boy tips?

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 13:00

@Kitekat81 yes I do feel differently. I find that it's like doing pelvic floors but different. It forces the womb to contract. You feel it contracting. Feels tighter down there and your hubby will notice the difference 😀.

Kitekat81 · 05/01/2021 14:00

@Happyhappy37 interesting! I've learned something new today 😄

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 15:33

@LittleAurora what is proceive? My hubby would like girl.

LittleAurora · 05/01/2021 15:40

@Happyhappy37 www.proceive.co.uk/ I take the proceive max because it's formulated for when over 35

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 15:59

@LittleAurora thanks for the link

M4v3r1ck · 05/01/2021 21:38

Just catching up! Boo to those with AF!!! 😭 Hopefully some BFPs soon! 🤞🏻

Welcome @GuessHowMuch 😃😃😃 Sounds like you're doing all the right things!!!

@selina37 sorry you're having a tough time just now! Sending you lots of 😘😘😘

@Happyhappy37 wow everyday is a school day! So you drink the clove etc tea and also do steams after AF?

@LittleAurora interesting re: proceive! Have you noticed any changes to your cycles or anything? 🤔 Just wondering as I know some others mentioned changes with other supplements!

Happyhappy37 · 05/01/2021 21:44

@M4v3r1ck yh that's it 😊

LittleAurora · 05/01/2021 22:06

@M4v3r1ck it's my 1st month taking it Blush I feel fine taking it and it doesn't taste bad (powderd sashet) I mix it into a fruit smoothie 💕

LittleAurora · 05/01/2021 23:26

6dpo I've gone to bed with a headache I've had all day. Then bam out if nowhere EXTREMELY bad cramps. Right down low like a period pain down one leg and in my labia. It's eased of a good but now but still lingering soreness.
It was breathtakingly sore. Has anyone had this before

Happyhappy37 · 06/01/2021 13:52

@LittleAurora yh I had this two days ago
