@Scotti84 wow that's so impressive. I hate saying anything bad about our NHS as I've needed them a few times over the years and when I've really needed it, they've been amazing. The wait time for standard procedures can be really frustrating though, and everything is taking even longer at the moment because of Covid 🙄 Maybe I should move to Germany! 😄
On the day I had my external scan I was so nervous, I was so worried that they might see something wrong, plus it was quite intimidating having to wear a mask and surrounded by people in masks. Also, I was having the scan because I'd been having some irregular periods, and the sonographer joked that I should just wait until I hit the menopause, then I'd be irregular all the time! She was just being nice and probably had no idea how I received that harmless joke, but you really shouldn't joke about menopause with a 38 year old who is trying to start a family. Menopause is my biggest fear! 😣 I ended up being so nervous and stressed I didn't ask any questions on the day, so only had the verdict from my GP a few days later which was 'normal'. I really wanted to ask, what does 'normal' mean? Does normal mean fertile? Or does normal mean normal for a 38 year old with declining fertility?? In the end I chilled out a bit and decided to just trust my GP who would surely have told me if the scan showed anything that I should be worried about 🤷♀️
