Congratulations @M4v3r1ck 🥳

M4v3r1ck · 03/11/2020 17:40

Thank you so much ladies!!! 😘😘😘 Yes, this was cycle 6/month 5!

@CC81 yes we must be, although extremely confused re: weeks as it's saying 4 weeks already, but I think I'm due mid July? Apparently they count from the first day of your last period... 🤯🤯🤯 Totally relate, I've been analysing every twinge and feeling! 😘

@Keepeas I'm sorry re: AF! Sometimes it's good to take a bit of time out from tracking and analysing!

Vie8126 · 03/11/2020 17:41

Wow congratulations @m4v3r1ck and @cc81 such wonderful news I have everything crossed for you guys.

Welcome to the newbies I missed up thread.

No Opks for me this month AF been and gone so according to Ovia I'm entering my fertile phase. Trying to be calm and what will be will be. My day 3 fertility at home blood test made it to the lab but was a problem with my sample so now being sent a new one to do next month. One step forward 20 back it seems here!

CC81 · 04/11/2020 07:44

@M4v3r1ck - Yes, that's right - it's extra-confusing for me because I ovulated a bit later than usual, so the timings are several days out.

I'm technically 5 weeks (based on last period) but probably conceived just over 2 weeks ago (17 days).

I'm a bit worried about the later ovulation, in case the egg quality was affected - but it was probably day 20 and they don't consider it 'late' until after day 21.

I think the first hurdle to get past is 6 weeks, as that means it's 'stuck' - then the next is 8 weeks, if it can be seen on a scan. I wish it was possible to find out sooner!

lucieloos · 04/11/2020 11:03

@CC81 @M4v3r1ck come and join us on the 'old ovaries new line' group over on the pregnancy forum when you're ready. We are all in a similar position x

selina37 · 04/11/2020 11:27

@lucieloos - Thank you, I will! Smile

M4v3r1ck · 04/11/2020 13:56

@lucieloos thank you! Found it last night! 😍

@selina37 thank you! 😍😍😍

CurlyNo2 · 04/11/2020 16:11

Positive thoughts this month for me! I'm hoping this is my month 🤞

Highlandmama · 04/11/2020 21:15

@CC81 try not to worry too much about later ovulation/egg quality. My son was such a late ovulation I didn’t even think it was worth trying that night! Like a week late. Once you get your scans they will adjust the date. I don’t know if this will help but I was pretty anxious during early pregnancy with DS due to prev miscarriage and early bleeding, so focussed on trying to do one positive thing each day. Like clothes to a charity shop, food to the food bank, tidy out a cupboard, catch up with an old friend. That helped pass the days and weeks. And whatever was happening, I could look back and be like “wow, all those positive things happened” - not sure if that makes sense! Really wishing you and little bean well x

CC81 · 04/11/2020 21:54

@Highlandmama - Thanks so much for the reassurance Smile

I will try to follow your good advice! I've been doing a similar thing the whole year so far, as the fertility worry has been hanging over me - but despite that (and covid), we've done lots of fun things as a family and made some great memories. So I won't look back on the year as a tough one, even if it was sometimes.

You're right that I need to continue like that. In a way, being in lockdown makes it a bit easier, as I don't have the pressure of hiding it from others (whether or not things go well). I'm at such an early stage.

A lot of my assumptions are irrational... for example, because my first (and only) pregnancy was straightforward, I feel like this one can't be!

Trying4mylastmiracle · 04/11/2020 21:57

@CurlyNo2 good luck fingers crossed for you 😊Think im out this month timing issues and don’t think I’m even ovulating just yet

CC81 · 04/11/2020 22:18

Good luck @CurlyNo2 - Feeling positive and relaxed is a good start 🤞

@Trying4mylastmiracle - Have you had hormone tests etc to check things are balanced?

Trying4mylastmiracle · 04/11/2020 22:24

@CC81 no not yet I haven’t to be honest I think part of me has given up a little I went from 30-31 days cycle to 28 days with 2 or 3 days periods now that I can’t explain 2 cycles of it now waiting for cycle for cycle 3 expecting the same so really think I need to close the chapter on it and accept my life as it is we dtd during my fertile we not active on it only twice and I don’t think it will make a difference this month either

Tammy80 · 05/11/2020 07:31

Thanks for the warm welcome, @CC81*,@Loladoodle,@M4v3r1ck*
Big congratulations to you @M4v3r1ck, you did so well not to test until CD31! I hope to have the same resolve if I ever get lucky enough but my AF is never late, it’s usually days early if anything!
Feeling very inspired by the little flurry of BFP’s. It just serves as a reminder that it can happen for us older ladies so let’s keep the faith and hope that the luck on this page at the moment continues to spread.🤞🏻for us all...

CurlyNo2 · 05/11/2020 14:08

Do you all use tracking apps? If so, what ones?

I used Ovia with my son so naturally started using it again this time but was wondering if there were any other ones out there?

M4v3r1ck · 05/11/2020 20:41

@Highlandmama I love that doing one positive thing each day! 😍😍😍

@Tammy80 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you this month and some more BFPs!!!

@CurlyNo2 I used Ovia (probably my fave for all the info), premom as that was for the OPKs, and I had Flo too!

Loladoodle · 05/11/2020 23:54

@Highlandmama the one positive thing each day is a great idea, I always feel better in life when doing RAOK! I think it’s a very important time to do these things as well as being a great focus/distraction 👌

@Tammy80 I agree this has been a lucky 🍀 thread! The Bfp’s are giving me lots of hope 🙏

@CurlyNo2 I don’t track I just wing it with regular dtd and knowing when I ov around Cd13

6dpo here.... feeling relatively sane (for me) but expect pms symptoms in a couple of days 🤪

CurlyNo2 · 07/11/2020 15:00

Thanks ladies!

Highlandmama · 08/11/2020 09:52

How is everyone today?? CD 17 for me. OPKs had LH surge Thursday and Friday (same as control line) but not Saturday...But no temp rise yet? Is that normal for people who are tracking these things? My first month tracking BBT so not totally sure how to interpret these things! Have been doing some BDing though so hopefully the right timeframe!

LT103 · 08/11/2020 10:51

@Highlandmama I think you can ovulate up to 36 hours after lh surge and temp rise is usually 1-2 days after ovulation. Just keep checking. It is possible to get lh surge and not ovulate but I think it’s too early to say that yet.

I still have no idea this cycle. I had ewcm and temp rise followed by more ewcm and positive opk and temp stayed up. So either 8 or 14dpo. I suspect 8. No symptoms at all other than a bit cramps today. This is a really long cycle for me so I don’t think this will be the one. Just need to wait on af!

Highlandmama · 08/11/2020 18:59

Thanks @LT103 I guess I’m being impatient! It will probably take a few cycles to get the hang of it! still hopeful for you even if it is a long cycle. It’s not over yet!

CurlyNo2 · 08/11/2020 20:25

@Highlandmama I'm CD17 too. I've no idea when I ovulate as didn't track, but its normally around CD11, I deffo felt different around that time so fingers crossed it occurred. We've BD a lot this month which makes a change 😉 If its not my month this month, I think I'm gonna track next month to see of that helps.

Loladoodle · 08/11/2020 20:41

8/9dpo today, feeling grumpy as usual pre af and boobs getting sore which is also normal pms for me... meh 😕

Highlandmama · 09/11/2020 08:42

@CurlyNo2 cycle buddies!! BD a lot! Lucky you 😊 Temping is pretty annoying tbh but temp rose today so confirms what I figured in terms of ovulating a little past the middle of the cycle so CD17 - I had assumed CD16 but have never temped before so that was close! Might be able to time things a little more closely next month! Very different to trying for my son when my cycles were all over the place and I was travelling lots with work!
@Loladoodle not over yet!! normal PMS and early pregnancy symptoms are virtually the same aren’t they?
