@whambam89 I saw one yesterday too and thought the exact same thing! Then told myself to stop being daft 🤪

@MrsB2019x maybe it's a good omen for us both! 🤞

MrsB2019x · 28/10/2020 20:14

Think it’s about time for us tbh @whambam89

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 08:53

Fingers crossed November will be our month ladies 😁🤞🏻

whambam89 · 29/10/2020 09:02

Had a temp spike this morning so guessing I must have ovulated yesterday. Didn't managed to DTD last night either.. don't know if it's worth doing it tonight or not 😂

MrsB2019x · 29/10/2020 11:29

@whambam89 I would just in case!

@SS123456 Surely it’s gotta be, right..? 😅 I think I’m hopeful because July wouldn’t be an ideal month for us to have a baby, both mine and DH’s birthdays are in July 9 days apart so I’m thinking it’ll be just typical 😂

OP posts:
SS123456 · 29/10/2020 12:16

@whambam89 no harm dtd just in case! 😁

@MrsB2019x lol yeah that would be typical wouldn't it! 🤞🏻. When I got my bfp last month I said it was because we had bought a home sperm test and a thyroid test for me that month! Maybe if I book us in for IVF assessments this month I'll get a sticky bean 🤔😂

whambam89 · 29/10/2020 12:42

@MrsB2019x my birthday is July too and due date would be around my birthday if we did fall this month! I used to care what month but now I couldn't care less if we had a Christmas day baby 😂

MrsB2019x · 29/10/2020 14:54

@whambam89 In which case this must be our month, right?!

Loving all the positive thinking ❤️

MrsB2019x · 29/10/2020 16:24

Check back in 2 weeks to see if it was worth it @Sansa87 😂 How are you doing lovely? x

Sansa87 · 29/10/2020 16:34

@MrsB2019x optimism!

I’m okay. Found out the chain in our house move (that has been in the process since June) is 99% going to fall through tomorrow, so really bummed about that, but focusing on the fact that out of the two things happening in our lives right now, the house going wrong is absolutely the best one to go wrong

whambam89 · 29/10/2020 18:54

@MrsB2019x I need some of your optimism 😂 if I did ovulate yesterday then we only DTD 4 days and 2 days before ovulation 😭 I did have a slight increase yesterday morning so praying that I actually ovulated on Tuesday which would mean the day before and 3 days before which I feel would increase our chances 😂

In other news... How do people temp for months on end? Honestly, I'm on the verge of giving up after just over a week 😂

BuckleUp · 29/10/2020 19:41

Loving the optimism on here, really hoping those rainbows were a sign for you @whambam89 @MrsB2019x

How are you doing @SS123456 and @Rotagilla? I've been thinking of you x

@Sansa87 Sorry to hear about the house falling through. I like your way of looking at things though 😊

@whambam89 I've been temping for nearly a year and I still haven't stopped! I originally started for contraception purposes (could only dtd without additional measures once I'd ovulated). Then I carried on whilst ttc, and I just haven't stopped since then. The only problem with doing it when ttc is that it doesn't tell you when you're approaching ovulation, only when it's happened. For me this wasn't an issue because I had so much data behind the algorithm by that point that it was pretty accurate at predicting my fertile days. If you have any questions just give me a shout x

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 19:47

@whambam89 my bfp this month was a month that we only dtd 4 days and 2 days before ovulation so you never know! 🤞🏻. I have been temping for a year now and it is soooo draining waking up early every day to do it! I was so happy to put the thermometer in the draw and leave it there after the bfp but alas it has made its return, I feel like the smug thing is mocking me! I bought a new one the other day which bluetooth syncs to the femometer app as I am hoping that will allow me to perhaps fall back to sleep after taking my temp. Up to now I've woke up and manually logged it but by the time I do that I can't get back to sleep which is frustrating on days that I can sleep a bit later

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 19:52

@BuckleUp I am doing ok thank you. I'm still having my ups and downs but getting there slowly. My new focus has been endless googling that I could (and that's a big could!) be more fertile straight after the mc. I know I am going to on a super downer and massively disappointed when my period eventually comes but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it I guess. I think the 13 months getting to this point has made it that much hard

I am genuinely starting to consider private IVF at this point. My OH isn't so keen as he is pretty tight with money and despite me having the funds saved up he is still reluctant which is a bit frustrating

BuckleUp · 29/10/2020 20:22

@SS123456 I can't imagine how hard it must be. I have seen a lot of people get a BFP straight after mc, hopefully you'll catch quickly in the next month or two. A friend of mine just told me she's 8 weeks pregnant after ttc for 18 months so there's definitely hope. The Bluetooth thermometer sounds like a good idea. I have to admit I don't take my temp at the same time every day, it's just the first thing I do when I wake up. It seems to stay fairly consistent even when I'm up a few times a night. Are you eligible for IVF with the NHS? I think I remember it being unlikely because of a previous DC, did I remember that right? Keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway x

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 20:40

@BuckleUp oh wow how amazing for your friend, that us great news after so long! 😁

You are right that I won't be eligible on the NHS unfortunately as I have an 8 year old son (with a previous partner) and my OH also has two children from a previous relationship. This will (hopefully!) but our first child together if it eventually happens for us 🤞🏻

Do you have any children?

MrsB2019x · 29/10/2020 21:23

@Sansa87 Oh no, so sorry about your house! 😔 that’s absolutely gutting. How come it’s falling through?

@whambam89 That’s exactly the reason I don’t temp, it would drive me insane!!

@SS123456 I have heard you are more fertile after a loss, Sansa fell again 1st cycle after her mc ☺️

@BuckleUp How are you doing?

Ladies please don’t mistake my attitude for optimism, it’s more hysterical 😂 like it must be my month now.. right..? RIGHT?!!?!??! 🤪🤪🤪

OP posts:
whambam89 · 29/10/2020 21:44

@SS123456 I don't know how you've done it for so long 😂 I think this is going to be a one off month for me, I can't be waking up early every day to do it hahaha. The Bluetooth one does sound better! I usually take my temp then just turn it off and turn it back on to find my temp in the memory once I'm ready to get up and log it then.

whambam89 · 29/10/2020 21:49

@Buckleup thanks! Will let you know if need any help with it 🙂 how are you getting on?

@MrsB2019x hysteria or not, it's more optimistic than my "it's clearly never going to happen for us" attitude 😂

@sansa87 sorry to hear about the house! 🙁

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 21:50

@whambam89 me neither! I have a love hate relationship with the thermometer 😂. I was so relived to be able to put it away, it was gutting to have to get it back out again! It was a nice few days break from temping while it lasted 🙈. I did try the memory thing a few times but always managed to lose the reading somehow 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

SS123456 · 29/10/2020 21:52

Oh @Sansa87 that is so disappointing on the new home! I really hope it doesn't fall through for you! 🤞🏻. I always believe things happen for a reason though so if this home wasn't meant to be there will be an even better one around the corner for you I'm sure 😊

MrsB2019x · 29/10/2020 22:13

@whambam89 That’s probably better cos then you’ll be pleasantly surprised if it does happen! When is AF due for you? Clue says 10th, Ovia says 12th so I’m gonna go for 11th 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
BuckleUp · 29/10/2020 23:39

@SS123456 I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe private IVF is an option for you if you can both agree. I don't know what the average costs are for it though. I don't have any children, this will be our first at 31.

@MrsB2019x @whambam89 I'm good thank you, got my hands full with two kittens. They're very cute 😍. Hysteria can be optimistic lol. Really keeping everything crossed for you this month xx
