@BuckleUp I think it's around 6-7k per cycle so definitely not cheap unfortunately. I'm 37 though so don't want to hang around too much longer

Has anyone used the SMEP? I'm going to try and persuade OH to give it a shot this month I think

whambam89 · 30/10/2020 07:41

@MrsB2019x I think around the 8th/9th based on a 10/11 day LP but depends what my LP decides to do this month to be honest! I just hope it's not 8 days like last month 🙄 my apps aren't accurate at all I know that much 😂

MrsB2019x · 30/10/2020 08:00

@whambam89 Very true 😂

@SS123456 I haven’t, I’m wary of doing ‘plans’ and scheduling DTD, I don’t want it to become a chore otherwise we’d both be miserable I think

OP posts:
SS123456 · 30/10/2020 08:11

@MrsB2019x that was always my thought too. Maybe we'll give it one chance (if I can persuade OH) and if no luck go back to 'normal' 🤔

kirinm · 30/10/2020 12:31

I'm feeling very negative about things unfortunately - not trying to bring anyone down. Just can't see it happening for us.

Only on CD4 so still a little while until fertile week and the whole process starts again.

MrsB2019x · 30/10/2020 12:46

@kirinm Aw sorry to hear you’re having a rough time of things. The TTC journey is long and exhausting. If it helps my feelings of hysteria/optimism have dwindled this morning! Not sure why though

OP posts:
SS123456 · 30/10/2020 15:21

Do not worry @kirinm you aren't bringing anyone down at all. I 100% feel what you are feeling and it is such an awful pain and yearning to go through. I have times where I feel like like you are now and then times when I feel more upbeat about things but I guess that is part of the rollercoaster journey we are all reluctantly all on at the moment. Is that anything more you can do in terms of testing etc so you at least feel like you are doing something to help and to focus on? I have got my gp to agree today to do a 21 day progesterone blood test so that has eased how I am feeling a bit

whambam89 · 30/10/2020 17:24

@kirinm I think all of us here can relate to how you're feeling (I know some have been trying longer than others and I can only imagine it gets more exhausting). Please don't think you're bringing any of us down, we're all here for support and if you need to rant that's fine by me!

@ss123456 good news that they've agreed to do 21 day bloods! Fingers crossed you get some answers x

whambam89 · 30/10/2020 17:24

@MrsB2019x I was counting on you for optimism this month so if you could just find wherever it's gone then that would be great 😂

kirinm · 30/10/2020 17:25

@SS123456 I am thinking about testing egg quality. I'm half thinking if it's shit, at least I know and I can sort of get my head around it never happening? Haven't looked into the cost yet. Would need to go private as I won't get any help.

MrsB2019x · 30/10/2020 17:49

Soz @whambam89 I’ll do some digging 😂

Glad you’ve managed to get some tests sorted @SS123456, hopefully that will shed some light on if anything is up, hopefully it’s not though!

@kirinm medichecks do a few different ones and they've got 20% off all tests this weekend - pretty reasonably priced as well!

Oh thanks, i'll have a look now.

SS123456 · 30/10/2020 18:35

I'd definitely recommend medichecks @kirinm . I did their CD3 fertility check and I believe they do an egg reserve type of test too

MrsB2019x · 31/10/2020 20:42

Evening ladies, hope you’re all okay ☺️

Optimism has crashed through the floor today sadly, for no reason either! I have been symptom spotting unusually early this month so think I’m trying to suppress it to protect myself.

Also suppressing my south coast tier 1 smugness now 😂👎

Wasn't expecting to come back to this so soon but had a massive kick to the belly yesterday and can't talk to anyone else.😢

Our closest friends came round yesterday for a cuppa, were going to come over the weekend but we've gone into tier 2 overnight so they came last night instead.

She's pregnant 😢 I'm really happy for them, like really happy, she had breast cancer 6 years ago so didn't know if she would be able to have kids but it's just made me feel worse.

To top if off Im fairly sure I ovulated yesterday, haven't done any opks but am still temping (not sure why - possibly to check for covid). Had horrendous ovulation pain from 6pm till about 10 (thought at first it was wind, but then twigged I was cd13) and had ewcm yesterday too.

Amazingly enough we have managed to dtd 3 times in the last week so here's hoping.

Felt like shite last night due to friends news and the ovulation pain, think we were both upset about it to be honest. Still thinking of adoption though unless a miracle happens

Hope everyone is ok, haven't read the updates since my last post xx

MrsB2019x · 01/11/2020 09:53

Oh @claireb7rg, nice to see your name back here but sorry it’s in such shit circumstances 💙 It’s okay to be happy for her yet sad for yourself. I have everything crossed for you this month x

After my miscarriage on the 12th I've been checking for ovulation (just to see when my body has got itself back to normal)
My predicted ovulation date came and went and I assumed I wouldn't this month.
We've dtd a few times and then this morning I did another ovulation strip (randomly) and it was positive!
I am happy I'm getting back to normal but we were planning to wait a cycle before trying.
Now it looks as if we might have dtd at the right times!
I am trying not to be hopeful but also feel like if it happens then it was meant to....back on the crazy train that is the tww

SS123456 · 01/11/2020 10:52

@claireb7rg what you are feeling is completely normal and I get the exact same feelings too. My social media is full of people being pregnant or having babies at the moment and each one feels harder to see ❤️

SS123456 · 01/11/2020 10:55

Fingers crossed for you @Rotagilla 🤞🏻😁. How many days after the mc did you ovulate in the end? I'm day 14 today and usually ovulate on day 17 but no sign of a positive opk yet. I started used cb opks earlier in the month and within 3 days they went to 'peak' but I think that was a false positive and it was just picking up a rise in oestrogen 🤷🏻‍♀️. I am meant to do a CD21 blood test this month but can't see there being much point if I ovulate later

Rotagilla · 01/11/2020 11:05

Thankyou @SS123456
It was day 20 (I’m usually about day 15)
The opk’s I brought are so faint so I thought they were a duff pack. But today’s result matched even though both are faint.
What is your blood test for? Is it for hcg levels?
I’ve just been told to tell them if i don’t get a negative pregnancy test within 3 weeks.
Fingers crossed you have a late ovulation xx

SS123456 · 01/11/2020 11:32

Thanks @Rotagilla that's good to know. I have a feeling I may be a bit delayed this month too as my resting heart rate has only just started rising in the last couple of days. It is a progesterone test to check my hormone levels are as they should be post ovulation

Rotagilla · 01/11/2020 11:37

@SS123456 oh I see, sorry if you've explained before and I've missed it ❤️
I understand why that would be a bit pointless if you ovulate late...can you rearrange bloods?
What is the significance of changes to rating heart rate?

SS123456 · 01/11/2020 12:02

Don't worry it's fine! 😊. I've just read online that the bloods should ideally be done 7 days before AF is due so I guess I'll just get it done after I've ovulated this month 🤷🏻‍♀️. My resting heat rate follows a pattern of dropping in the first half of my cycle and then rising slightly just before ov and then up even higher after. When I had my bfp my rhr really spiked. The attached shows what it has done the last couple of months, the peak was after the bfp

@Rotagilla are you still getting positive hcg tests?
